Great!!!! Amazing!!!
I am 71 y.o. and i have my guitar from two months.....your lessons are between the best lessons on web. Thank you very much. I discovered Rockabilly music from few weeks and i love It .
Thank you sooo much! Keep enjoying that rock and roll!
Thank you for including lessons for beginners. They are way more fun than the average TH-cam lesson. Peace.
Seriously, thanks. Your first easy licks video broke something loose for me. I've only been playing for a year, was playing all the same stuff over and over. Then I practiced those first licks, and it was like everything I learned fell into place. Not like I'm suddenly a virtuoso or anything but I'm having a ton of fun and improvising stuff that actually sounds like music. Really appreciate it.
Played guitar for a while, and needed some inspiration so bought a second hand Gretsch ,found DEATHRAYCAT and bingo, can't put the thing down, thank you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks you that means a lot! 🙏
I'm an old metal head from the 80s, I had a Grestch but I let it go. I like Your lessons. I'm going to get another Grestch soon.
Thank you! 🙏
Man am I glad you were in my recommendations. I never knew I wanted to play rockabilly till I saw your channel and Damien baccis, but my god do I love it. Keep up the great videos
This is amazing news, thank you so much 🙏🏻 🍻
Wouaw
you transmit with a disconcerting and relaxed ease a knowledge certainly "mystified 😭😭" by guitarists who want to keep everything secret. These 4 licks allow every one to understand improvisation on rockabilly pieces and have fun. A big thank-you.
Thank you
I have become a more advanced player and this lesson is really clear and fun: Great job.
Thanks so much!
Always look forward to your new tips

Your awesome Mate! Shelton, Wa U.S.A.
Great lessons, love all this stuff also 60’s garage and Billy Childish’s bands, it’s cool to refresh on the easier stuff. I used to play in a band in a prison and we did some old surf instros and also Troubled Times by Mighty Caesars. Very cool stuff 😎
Thanks Paul I love the Billy Childish stuff too, that’s a guy with a lot of great material! Thanks and all the best 🍻

One ole Stray Cat
Thank you John!
So ready a beer and open chat and coolness.
These easy licks are super helpful! Thank you! Question for you: which of your guitars is your favorite for rockabilly/psychobilly?
Thanks Jason! I’m obviously a Gretsch man but I do think any guitar can be used for rockabilly or psychobilly! It’s all in the way you play 😸
@@DEATHRAYCAT Cool. I hear that! I'm looking to get a new Gretsch. Thinking 6120 or maybe something else. So many nice pro models. Which 6120 do you have?
Hey Nico - Really like your lessons they are a great help - do all your lessons on Patreon have full tabs (ie) Electromatic - Thanks
Hi thanks a lot Robert! Yeah the electromatic tier and above has access to all the tabs and Patreon videos as well as any backing tracks. I’m about to add a bunch more backing tracks too! Cheers! 🍻
I enjoyed the video your the cats meow
Thank you 🙏
Thanks Nico , learning alot from your lessons , always fun things to enjoy on the guitar.
Just wanted to ask if Gretsch guitars are heavy or light in weight?
They sound great , ideal for the rockabilly sound.
Hi Rajesh! Glad you’re enjoying the lessons!
It depends on the model how heavy they are. I find the hollow bodies to be not too heavy but not super light either. 💪
@@DEATHRAYCAT Hi Nico, I see what you mean. Thankyou
Good 💩 Nico. Thanks.👻🍻😸
Rain....man I wish it would rain in my part of the world.😜
It added a nice bit of texture to the video 😂 thanks for watching as always Tracey!
@@DEATHRAYCAT 👍. I have your band in my spotify playlists.🤙
First time plying guitar any tips.
Can you give me a tip on a as good amp for Gretsch 5420 and rockabilly sound ? Thanks
Would you agree that greatch necks are the best one day I'm getting a white falcon I had a nice 50 something my fiend wanted the guitar I sold it to him it never bothered me that I sold it to him he helped me out a lot..🎉I
fantastic Work.😀 👌
Please coming son Elvis Scotty and Bill "Mystery Train" and Charlie feathers "One Hand loose"👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the requests!
Love your teaching I am a beginner at 61. How long did it take you to get as good as you are?🇺🇸
Thanks so much! Well done for picking up the instrument and learning a new skill, I hope you find as much enjoyment from it as I do. I have been playing for around 25 years 😮 but you will see improvements every day if you practice and hopefully will enjoy the process!
Any easy solos in E or G?
Where’s the link to join patron ?
Hi Mark, it should be down there but here it is if you can’t find it 😸 www.patreon.com/deathraycat
Thanks for looking !
Thank you very much for this lesson. Its very very much appreciated. Please enjoy a drink on me!
Thanks John! ☕️ much appreciated!
Great lesson. It would be good to teach the right hand too. It looks like you’re finger picking. Also you’re using a lot of syncopation. It would be good to teach the rockabilly rhythm and groove by explaining the rhythms you’re using in your right hand.
