@@damnitdang There’s one point near the bulkhead connector on the cabin side. There are a few coming for the PMU sub harness (for keypad, ECU harness and can-to-usb adapter) and there’s another Canbus connection that goes from the Haltech ECU directly to the Wideband controller but we still need to find a more elegant solution for that.
@thegcjourney Is there's anyway to program the pmu so some outputs are constant hot? What if we made the pmu16 power up input constant hot and set it so when the Key power input loses power those allocated outputs remain powered up. I'm installing one into a customers car now. It's my first time with pmu16
@@cameronnorris5104 Yotam tells me that it’s not a problem. Outputs can be used as (30) constant powered. Usually only the keypad gets that output to make sure nothing else is powered if unintended.
Thank you very much for confirming this to me. I will probably follow your footsteps and do the same. I saw the other videos you made, and I have been following the process. Could you leave or show the measurements of the wires you made your harness? You help us all with your videos, very good work, thank you for that.👍
@@fernandobranco9590 If you go back to the first episode in the engine bay harness series you will see at 7:35 a chart with all the components and measurements but I wouldn't recommend using it since every engine bay is different, sensors will usually be in different places and there's no guarantee the layout for my engine bay will suit other engine bays.
Loving the videos. As a car and wiring nerd the longer and more detailed the better in my eyes 😊
I’m glad to hear because there’s still lots more nerdy stuff coming

תודה רבה!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love your work and vision for your car, great content and good length. I will be revisiting many of your videos as I work through my GD upgrades
Thank you for the kind words ❤🙏🏼
Great video as always ! Length wise i think it was great and very informative as always ! Keep up the great job 😊
Thank you my friend! 🙏🏼❤️
Glad your ok.
As much as can be during these times. Thank you ❤
Informative

Fingers crossed it changes things for the better 🤞 I've been waiting on some gc8 content as my own project has ran aground due to lack of funds 😢
I feel you man! Be patient, it will be worth it! 💪🏼❤️
Kinda where 99% of projects finish

So 3 point of connection for canbus, pmu, ecu and keyboard. Where did you connect them all? Just a near the pmu?

You are using Haltech Elite ECU. Why you dont choose Haltech PMU? Is ECUmaster PMU universal?
Yes, it’s universal, more flexible and slightly more powerful with more AMPS per output.

Hi,
Do you know if the pmu can be connected to the original steering column switch?
Thanks
If you are referring to the key barrel switch then yes! 😊
Thanks for the reply. I'm referring to the indicator and light switches. to try to make it more original instead of using keypad buttons

Yes, they can also be connected.
