I saw the video and assumed you had paid maybe $1000 per night, but I read in a comment it was more than that. Still a bit Surprising if the room was empty anyway and they knew you as a trustworthy player/guest already. I’d of course expect more approvals necessary if they’re comping you the suite. Regardless, great room! I think it was you who described your upgrade process for a CP penthouse too- good vids.
Keep in mind the room takes a lot more work to turn over. Oftentimes hours of housekeeping so that costs a lot in itself. As for upgrading, with MGM, per VIP at Aria apparently I'm now approved for everything, provided I pay for it. So it's a lot easier now.
I had been trying to get into this suite for like 10 years. It's stunning and a special accomplishment for me. That said, the MB Presidential is more visually stunning and unique since it's two stories. Now if it was THE Hotel, and this was in the old Presidential Suite style which had a private elevator stop/foyer from the glass elevator, that might be a different story. Also the Presidential at Mandalay Bay was featured in the pilot episode of Las Vegas. To be standing where James Caan, Josh Duhamel, Molly Sims were is just really cool.
I play. Platinum with Mlife and Diamond Elite with Caesars. Earned both vs tier matched. I don't play near enough to qualify for this suite. Rack is $4,000 a night. I managed to negotiate a more favorable rate but it still was far from cheap. I'd say my history helps. Casino and hotel management had to approve our stay. They really don't like to rent these out to anyone not a whale or a celebrity.
@@bigggmustang73 Nope. MGM did away with that a while back. Skylofts still might offer it but doubt it. Used to be everything in these suites that was no alcoholic or food was comped. Stupid as these suites come with lounge access where everything is free including liquor.
What if you left notes in the books. You could leave threatening notes, but that's not nice. You could leave some clues to a treasure hunt in the room to find a prize hidden in the room, maybe a small gold coin. 🪙
Well one I despise people who don't treat places that they stay like home aka respect them. Two, messing with books is just so wrong. Three, not nearly wealthy enough to just leave gold coins around. I'd be happy to find one though, granted my morals would probably force me to turn it in to the front desk.
@@PKPhoenix83Well, messing with books? I mean write a small note and put in the book 📚 not write on the book. Two, the gold coin was an example, it could be any nice little prize. Three, a 1/10 ounce gold coin is about $215. A person staying there cant afford that? The regular room rate for that suite is how much?
@@podunkcitizen2562 Okay that makes sense. They should have a book where guests can write in it officially though. There was a book I wanted, asked if I could buy it and no one was sure. My wife was nice enough to get me a copy later as a gift. Re the gold coin, my mind immediately went to a 1 oz Krugerrand. Rack rate is $4500 a night. I paid, I think all in around $2500 a night. Point taken.
I’ve been waiting for this! Thanks for posting, the narration was great.
I've been waiting 10 years or so to finally stay in it. Still can't believe I was finally approved. Thanks for the compliment!

Always solid videos Paul, appreciate this one. You must have been hyped, unreal room.
Thank you so much. I've been trying to stay in this suite for about 10 years and until now with no success. So yes, I was very very hyped.
May want to re-think your mic placement. The breathing into the mic is very distracting.
Did you like this, or the Mandalay Bay Presidential better? lol

wow.. nice room!
Wowzers!!!
WoW did he say $4000 a night, time to start a go fund me.🙂
It looks like they didn’t renovate much of this room?
What do you mean? Much of it was Delano design. They also removed the private elevator lobby the room used to have.
I know the Delano Penthouse is more white. This room is darker and more black.
No free water even in this suite

This is some of the worst filmed Vegas room tours.
