From what I can tell, there's been no datamined Model of a Death Knight Tirion, but there has been datamined Darion saying he's the leader of the Four Horsemen. I suspect the Death Knights fail in ressurecting Tirion, and Darion is made leader instead.
imo the old voice was 10x better! Ik its difficult but when blizz changes the characters voice it makes it more fake and the removes the liviness of the character. I love the voice of the old Darion specially in the Dk quest where he shouted "soldiers of the scourge, death knights of acherus, hear the call of the highlord!"
Poor Tirion. Its just not his day in this expansion. Trying to help out , get captured, tortured, dies, some more things along the way, has a funeral, and then gets resurrected for the Ebon Hold. Oh! And no longer has his sword "The Ashbringer".
+Gamer Dan well, Darion's latest description in the game files as a champion is following, "The former leader of the Knights of the Ebon Blade, Highlord Darion Mograine is one of the most powerful death knights ever created. He now leads the Four Horsemen against the Burning Legion as the harbinger of death and destruction." He will be the fourth. Something will go off in the Light's Hope Chapel. Maybe Darion himself will die and then the Deathlord will rise him as a horseman. Or the spirit of Tirion will talk some sense into him.
Course. But there are times in which games may end up cutting out some things like voices and yet still wind up in the game files unused. Either way, still going to wait on this. :)
It's the same voice actor from Wrath, Taliesin Jaffe. He is listed as one of the voice actors in Legion's credits. The reason why he sounds so different here is because the DK sound effect is working only partially here. In more recent beta videos though it's fully implemented and he sounds just like he used to. Keep in mind about the Four Horsemen stuff: Darion does have a voiceclip voicing his doubts about it, but he decides to go along and give suggestions as to who to raise for them. The only reason he follows the plan is because the Deathlord (the PLAYER CHARACTER) is one of the most esteemed Death Knights in the world (alongside, well, every other max level Death Knight). So really, I guess you could say the monster Darion and the death knights are becoming is entirely because the PLAYER set it all into motion (unless I'm understanding this improperly...)

Peoplea re already annoyed Jaina hates the horde (not that she doesn't havea reason), but why they decided to try to make tirion a DK is beyond me, for conflict or not

I identified him before he ever touched Ashbringer from the book Of Blood and Honor. Dude man has always been about the greater good. Doesn't help either that his whole family is pretty much dead (also happened before he formed the Argent Crusade). Again, Light or not, he'll do what ever it takes to save people, why I've always liked him.
