Not interested in stickers, but do have some questions for you. Would you consider doing a series of educational videos? Like welding 101, fabrication design, or anything similar? Who would be a dream collaborator or group of collaborators? Is there any location in the world you haven't been to that is a bucket list off-road destination? Thanks for sharing Ian. Your teaching roots shine through and outlets such as TH-cam allow you to reach more than you could in a classroom. It seems you're living the dream.

In my experience as a fabricator, everything Ian stated is 100% correct about anti-splatter spray and the gas selection in regards to splatter control. At times in commercial fabrication it would be easier and more efficient to use anti-splatter spray for a 10 min job vs resetting the weld setting and preping the metal which adds extra time to a job. Same with the weld table it is quicker to spray the table as opposed to grinding back the splatter before starting the next job. As a handy tip if you have no anti-splatter spray left you can get your oxy/acetylene and set it too that sooty flame then put a coat of soot over the job and/or table and it will stop the splatter from sticking.

It’s truly inspiring for somebody like me who’s “built” my first Jeep and is only a few years into off-roading and things that fit into that category. I do hope one day to get my hands on a project and be able to do a full revamp of it, and with your videos and knowledge I know it will help. Thanks!!
