I've had a ProFX4V2 for a couple of years. Just retired it last month, April 2020 with the new ProFX6V3. This new mixer is awesome with its USB interface. So now I can record directly to my laptop, plus listen with no delay using a headphone plugged into the mixer. Whereas before I had to record on the laptop, could not tell what the mix was like; then plug in the headphone into the headphone jack of the laptop and listen. It was a pain. *If you're considering a ProFX4V2, don't! Get a V3 USB model!* You'll be very pleased especially with the new Onyx Microphone Preamps. I also have a Mackie ProDX4. That mixer is easily feedback prone. But I moved the speaker, a Bose S1Pro, one foot further away from where I sit with a Shure SM58, plus I turn the speaker about 30 degrees away from me. and that has helped cut back the feedback.
The Mackies dont have BT built in or a USB on the front..... I find the Pyle being a better buy especially for a Karookee setup.... I have not purchased niether yet....but my plans are to run vocals through this mixer with a little effect of reverb.... through a headrush FRFR108 pair and maybe since its a audio interface I can run my bias fx2 through it in the meantime until I buy a profiler pedal or headrush pedal board..... If I don't get this what do you recommend for a Mackie?
@@FPVMgunit13 as I wrote above, I own a Mackie ProFX6V3 mixer with USB. Very nice. Sells for $150 USA. Next step up is the new Onyx8 mixer $500. Pyle is a low class product.
@@OnlineMD I decided on the Mackie Profx10v3.... and as you stated I can use as a audio interface and run my standalone bias fx guitar software correct
hello can i connect my lp player (built in preamp)lenco 3808 to this mixer for regulate bass and terrible.beause my monitors mackie cr 3 active without equalizer .thats why i want tu buy this mixer connect my monitors and record player
Loved it when i saw a demo on the PRO FX 4 V2 babey mixer However! one question is there a tutorial you know of on it's operation as i cannot understand where you connect to send sound to the floor speaker ( monitor ) as i have had to use the headphone jack but i am sure that's not right. Nice calmly presented video so i am hoping you have a tutorial someplace. Many thanks.
Thank you, and you're not the first person to ask about hooking up a floor monitor in the last few weeks so I will do a how-to video today and posted it Monday or late tonight.
@@expertisland Thanks for that look forward to it , one question . If you want to record straight from your mixer to your PC ( a macbook in my case ) which mixer would you recommend . Many thanks.
So there are no pan controls? It's either up the middle or hard left and right? Also, is there any reason to not plug a guitar into input 3? My setup is 2 mics plus direct from acoustic/electric guitar.
Can someone help me out? I got the Mackie Profx 4v2 but i dont have the instruction manual anymore with the software that he said. Did i need that manual to get the software or can i find it somewhere else?
Some beginner questions here: I personally don't own a xlr mic, but i do own a normal mic with standard 3.5 connector. Could i use my mic in any way with this mixer or do i have to look into something else? I have a pair of electricdrums which i would like to use with this, and would the Hi-z option benefit me or is it only for guitar use? Just looking for a solid mixerboard i can use at home for my mic and drums.
you will need an adapter or just spend $10 on an XLR Cable the 1/4" (3.5mm) Jacks are line-in not for Microphones. your electric drums plug into the 1/4 jacks, and the HI-z it to optimize Guitars. You might want to look at the PMXU43BT Mixer th-cam.com/video/CHc2s9Wg9ns/w-d-xo.html
Why can't you just plug it into your computer with a 2 jack to 1 mini jack cable out of the mains? What's the advantage of plugging it via the USB port?
very late to this video, but in case anyone else sees this, the video is completely wrong. there is NO feedback elimination on this mixer. what Mackie means by “feedback stabilization” is a preamp accuracy thing. that has no relation to the feedback you hear (i.e. what he’s talking about)

What cable did you use for the USB adapter?
Do they now make a ProFX4v2 with usb?
I thinking about buying this mixer for my dj system. Thanks for the overview!
Hi sir this mixer can i use to my android phone to connect tape out or monitor out to TRRS to my android for external audio source?
How good is the feedback control while background music is playing?
Not very good Its it's really bad with a with a live band and a high watt monitor
How can i stop hearing myself through the monitor on my mixer
Can you turn the anti-feedback function off? I make experimental music and actually need feedback in my sound.
Why can't you just plug it into your computer with a 2 jack to 1 mini jack cable out of the mains? What's the advantage of plugging it via the USB port?
I talk about and answer your Question in my Latest Q&A Video th-cam.com/video/K5Y2WDfBlXM/w-d-xo.html
Can individual channels have individual effects?
There is only one effects processor on this mixer. you pick one and you can add it to as many channels, a little or a lot.
