I really like gina now. She has been more family to jay than his own family and actually gives him good advice instead of just saying sort yourself out like ben billy and callum. Bit rich coming from those three.😂
Facts Ben went through the same type of thing in 2022 after Lewis raped him he was taking drugs, slept with a prostitute and Jay supported him through that now Jay is going through that and Ben isn't supporting him at all. I know Ben might also be grieving for Lola but still
Billy's a bit of a dinosaur. Ben, you could write a book with his crimes. Callum's a corrupt copper looking past Ben's crimes. Yes Jay taking drugs is wrong but I wish he had the same support everybody gave Ben.
Gina has grown on me recently. Behind the brash personality there's clearly a very caring person there. I'm glad Jay had a mate. Always the way through. Somebody gets completely disowned by their family then have a near-death experience. Wish Jay had the same support from his family Ben had though...

Now it's a life or death situation, all the guilty parties are now gonna start feeling sorry for themselves and want to help, but now they are potentially too late! I find it really weird how it takes all of this before some positive action is taken
I know its just a tv show, but the hypocrisy and short term memories of characters like Ben who has done WAY worse than Jay is truly irritating. Thats why I enjoy scenes like with Glenda or Mel calling out everyone on their BS when they want to take the high ground

I love how Gina is the only one supporting Jay. I get Ben and Billy want to put Lexi first but Jay is really struggling with Lola's death😢 Instead of pushing him further away they should have been there for him and got him help
Don't know why Ben is suddenly acting like parent of the year. He didn't seem to care much about Lexi in the beginning from what I remember? He used Lola to show he wasn't gay. He's been to prison for murder and assault both while still a teenager. I suppose only Ben is allowed to make "mistakes" though.
I feel sorry for Jay he's getting treated like shit and everyone turned against him ben he's no angel he's done bad things in past like killing Heather that's worse than being on drugs billy was out of order aswell saying Jay's dead to him hel regret it now while Jay's life's at risk hopefully Jay recovers and all of yous sit and sort the problem out and kiss and make up because lola wouldn't want her family apart specially now yous have wee lexi to look after

In true soap fashion, they'll blatantly have had him kill someone in the accident, because they have to make things much worse and more depressing before a character either finds redemption or happiness again, or they get killed off or written out. Unfortunately the storylines could be far more hard hitting if they were a lot less far-fetched.
Billy and Ben, the biggest fuck ups ever, Billy let Jay’s dad die and Ben is an actual murderer, yet Jay is the bad guy? He’s grieving, I hope Jay never forgives the Mitchell’s, as for Gina, about time they softened her up, she’s been the only one there for Jay

I love Jay as a character but honestly the show hasn't done anything with him- they start storylines for him that then get retconned/forgotten. So maybe it is best for Jamie to spread his wings. one thing that has always confused me - how can Billy kick Jay out of the house? The thing everyone forgets is the house is Jay's. I'm not even sure if Honey and Billy pay rent. Also I don't get the narrative of how Billy raised and treats Jay like a son- he really doesn't. Billy would never treat Will the way he treats Jay. Looking after Jay was always just a means for Billy to ease his own conscience about hiding in a bathroom when Jase was killed- rather than helping the man by going to get help.
I like Gina because she's helping Jay and not just telling him to just deal with it like how Billy, Callum and Ben are but yet Jay has been taking drugs that was his choice and he also made a choice to surround himself with the Mitchells so he can't just throw it back in their face when he was there when Heather died then helped cover it up to protect Ben who literally murdered someone.
