Thank you for sharing, Erin. I added them both to my wish list. I like the Canvas one best, based on your review, but I’m adding the Akron to my list as well just in case the Canvas doesn’t come back in stock. I’ll give it until the end of the year to see how it goes.
Thanks for the review. I have the Arkon and the drifting is definitely and issue. I also had to buy and extra segment to extend the arm far enough out to not see the base in the shot. I will take a look at the canvas and hope for a sale sometime soon.
Thanks for sharing! I have the Arcon and when you talked about it drooping, I had to laugh because that’s how mine is. And it is permanently wonky looking! LOL! I am going to have to order the canvas mount. I like how you can see the record button. A lot of times I have to remove my phone to hit record on my Arkon. Have a great day 😊
I have the Arkon phone mount, you can flip the holder so it’s not in the way of the screen. I’ll send you a photo it’s a game changer. With that said. I don’t my anymore 😂
Great review! Thank you for sharing! I have the Arkon Mount in my office to do Lives, but I think I'm going to try the Canvas Lamp for filming scrapbook videos. Thanks again!
@CraftyConceptswithErin I'll work with my $22 model 🤣 when I get from the Holidays...now that I know the best choice, returns wouldn't be an issue going through Manufacturers!
It really depends on what you like and if it does the job for you but it seems like the Canvas was the easier one to use. If you know you will always be filming with a cell phone than my pick would be the Canvas.
I have the arkon but haven’t used it much. But I did change the clamp to face up so it doesn’t cover the phone screen. Game changer. I did have trouble tightening the ball joints and had to have my hubby do it because of drifting. I think the phone clamp is very strong and it takes muscle to get my phone in. Great review.
Thank you for the comparison! Great information. I’ve been so disappointed that Facebook does not allow live streaming in landscape mode. I still do simple lives but I am thinking that I will have to start recording videos as well.❤

It’s always the little things like being able to start and stop recording without a struggle. I’m glad this was helpful!

I have the Arkon
It’s a popular choice 😃

poor Jayma!!
Great review! Canvas brand...N/A😢. But it's on my watch list!
I was so bummed it was just listed as unavailable a few days ago but maybe it is still available on the Canvas website.
