Lol I remember playing with ce on randy and he sent a goddamn mechanoid cluster on day 2 There were only 2 snipers but it’s ce so you can’t pierce throught their armor with literally nothing available at the start lol I ended up engaging them in melee with no success, just blinded and deafened them lol, so I thought they will be wondering around but nah, they can’t see but still have inner compas to your base lol, so they can’t shoot but can melee your wooden walls, Doors, food, and literally anything, with you aren’t available to do anything but engage them in eternal melee without winners Was forced to restart as I tried to handle them somehow, maybe wait for the raid etc, but they eliminate literally all your resources and all what you built during the single day, so if you don’t have 2 spare melees (as snipers such at melee but still not as much as someone with melee under 5 lol) - I’m not sure what can be done apart from escaping to a new colony or restarting

@@Mystickrage yeah for me every time when there is zztzz it is always in my nuclear power plant and often destroys pipes so my reactor overheats and it shut downs automaticly but some fuel rods may crack
Got the rim factory mod multiple 64k batteries the fuse mod I’ve got can handle about 2k so no fuzes. Zztzz in poor Jimmy’s bedroom Jimmy was never found nor was his bedroom.
If you enable "colonists explode on death" in the scenario editor, it allows you to assign a radius of up to 1,000,000. Is this actually hidden capped by that code?
Eh, small room with concrete floor and stone walls in which you butcher your beasties, sure, not that bad. Forgetting to zone them appropriately, or assigning to many to be slaughtered at once and the chain reaction can be absolutely frame melting. YMMV.

I assume the radius max is set to 56.4 because at 56.4 the area of explosion < 10,000 tiles, and at 56.5 the explosion area is more than 10k tiles. Developer probably thought 10k tiles exploding was more than enough fun.
@Commander Sheckle It would be too op, getting oneshotted by a weapon that has a blast radius of half the map and can fire over walls... thats the mentioned railgun with DU rounds
Similar effect can be achieved using mods that increase stack sizes, just put together a bunch of antigrains or even HEs and you can also reach the 56.floating-point-weirdness radius size.

My favorite explosions are when caravans carrying hundreds of mortar shells get attacked by raiders. One of these time the wave of fire actually went into the long entrance of my base and eviscerated two colonosts

I am pretty sure that I have had explosions larger than this when playing with the combat extended mod. Muffalos loaded with thermobarics are no joke. Though, this is modded so that might mess with the circle generation/way explosions are calculated.

@@jetroid It actually does funnily enough, you can see this much more clearly when using large stack mods. A couple hundred HEs is a pretty big boom.

Well, there are multiple types of explosions in Rimworld. You made a fire explosion. But there is also a bomb explosion. That acts a bit different.
