As a lifelong Sonic fan, seeing that 9mm pump-action abomination in glorious VR got me grinning ear-to-ear. That said, part of me wonders if and how one could make a Shadow-style scene using Gameplanner.
What I think Sega did was that they bought a cheap pump action spring fired airsoft gun instead of a CO2 airsoft gun, then implemented it into the game without giving much thought into it being pump action. They were rather strapped for time because they were making a ton of games at this point in time, such as launch titles for the Wii, Sonic '06, and a couple DS games and they had to divide Sonic Team into a million pieces to accomplish this.
The pic rail can be solved with an MP5 adapter (and a flat short rail extender if the adapter isn’t long enough) and the front A2 sight found in iron sights. You’re welcome.
In true Shadow the Hedgehog fashion, there should be a tiny picatinny rail at the very front to put a red dot pretty much on the tip of the barrel. Any of the sighted guns in that game put red dots at the very end.
Not to poop on your parade, but you can already do just that with the adapter and enough flat short rail adapters. It works on pretty much any gun with top rail compatibility. You COULD also add the short front barrel adapter with only the top rail and get your Shadow the Hedgehog sighting system that way. As for me personally, I’m rocking it with an HPA4 suppressor and the G3SG1 scope, because suppressors and manual actions are the best together as the Brits found out.
I also want to point out! The MP5 Shadow is actually the first Non-Shotgun Pump-Action Weapon in H3VR. as well as the first Pump Action Weapon in the Carbine Category.
I also want to point out you can’t do anything similar to an HK slap with it, as racking back the pump, reloading, and a rack forward doesn’t chamber the gun. That alone makes it more cursed than literally anything else.
Super-penetration can also be observed on top of the tank at the end of a Northest Dakota game. Just fire tracers at the girders supporting the staircase and watch them fly through into the distant mountains!
When you said "mp5 shadow" I thought it was some inside joke, but no. Shadow the hedgehog was the first game I ever played and seeing it more in media, and now in H3 in the form for a gun is amazing.
The semi-worst part? Shadow could have ACTUALLY been able to charge the MP5 as though it were pump action, since his fingers wrap around where the charging handle would be.
The potato gun reminds me of the guns the kids in the cartoon network show "kids next door" used. They build weapons out of day to day stuff. I loved the bubble gum pistol :D Btw I think shadows mp5 could fire full auto. He just used the pump instead of the normal loading handle lol Still awesome tho haha

I really appreciate the sound check at the beginning of the video. My ears are hurt quite easily by loud noises so getting the volume right in the beginning with the loudest sound we'll (probably) hear right at the start is quite nice.
bruh, i watched a dev log about lapd 2019 before bed and had a dream that i was fighting some giant antler monster in h3vr using that gun, except it was some souped up version for higher ranking officers or swat, cause it had 4 slots for thermal clips and longer battery. i've never even played h3vr but reloading all 4 thermal clips and the longer battery was so vivid and accurate to the game

Nice to see you back! I was on a vacation myself, doing some spring cleaning for my dad who was recovering from chemo (he's okay now). During that time, I got myself an HTC Vive Cosmos Elite to replace my Rift S. Definitely takes some getting used to, but it's leagues ahead of the previous 2 VR headsets I've used. Since we're talking about goofy weapons... may I suggest the Kalashnibren and the Commie Tommy?
April fools is my Birthday so this is like a birthday gift for me, thank you Anton haha The only thing that would make the potato chip railgun better would be to have some rails to attach lasers/optics/underbarrel grenade launchers/etc.
Love myself some railgun weapons. Absolutely cannot wait for the multiple ammo types for the Rail-Tater. Spicy Flavor chips for Armor Piercing Incendiary, Pizza flavored for ricochet rounds, Sour Cream & Onion for Explosive. Things like that. XD

I just had my internet cut out at the perfect time, that time was when anton shot the sosig with the railgun but it cut out so that you could add it to r/perfectly cut booms
It can use attachments, including the HPA4 suppressor (for the integrally suppressed look) and the G3SG1 scope I have mounted to the top. I personally use it in the same vain as something like the De Lisle Carbine, but scoped. Space out the firing and pumping to keep noise as low as possible, and you’d become a Shadow in a whole other light.
Now that I’m FINALLY home… The MP5 shadow seems like a good suppressor mule to me, given it’s chambered in a pistol caliber with a manual action. Still not as quiet as something like the De Lisle, and I think Plus P actually increases noise now, but the pump action instead of bolt action makes up for it. Not to mention chucking on the HPA4 suppressor makes it look dope as hell. For the Rail Tater… ngl I was expecting a 10mm DSM rifle instead for the railgun role, but I’d take this too. Only problem is it’s lacking a rail for a scope, and it doesn’t have much in the way of actual sights either (closest I’ve gotten was a shotgun sight profile without the bead, just below the top frame). If there was a way to implement a wallhax scope, I’d definitely love to see it attachable to this delicious behemoth. Other than that, it could’ve been worse. It could’ve been 50% air.
So in my last job I had to test a lot of old disc games to make sure they worked... I have tested Shadow the hedgehog more times that I would like to admit, and the MP5 pump ALWAYS triggered me... The fact that it is now realized in this, your magnum opus... I am no longer triggered, Anton you have cured me of my anger towards Shadow the hedgehog and the MP5, and for this I thank you.

I played the heck out of StHH. I think it also had a silly amount of rounds. 150 to 250 range, don't clearly remember any more.

April fools in H3VR has always been a real but silly update. No risk of temporary things here
