When I was the program director, if Democracy Now was not on at 11AM on the dot, I would get multiple calls from people about how Amy Goodman's voice was not coming through their radios. During our yearly fundraiser, we had people whose only reason for donating was the fact that they got to hear Amy's voice every weekday. People love her.
I dont know a ything about Amy Goodman. But love this story and how multiple listeners value her so much.

Katya’s fear of chimpanzees is completely valid. While not all primates are that inherently violent (bonobos, which are chimps closest relative, usually solve problems by having sex) but chimpanzee’s are BRUTAL. In my biological anthropology class in university I had to watch multiple clips of chimp patrol groups tearing another trespassing chimp LIMB FROM LIMB and holding up the leg they had just torn by hand from this still alive chimp in the air and cheer like it was a touchdown. They do not feel remorse and they love to kill.
