Your genuine love for great music shows on your face and reactions. Been with ya since your first Upchurch and I'm sooooo glad we are both still kicking TH-cam ass ! Peace and love for you ADogg
Austin Brown: High Tenor Adam Chance: Bartone Tim Faust: Base Rob Lundquist l: Tenor Adam Rupp: Beatboxer. (Chance replaced Chris Rupp, one of the founders and Adam’s brother who has gone solo.)
I also recommend Folsom Prison Blues, Mayday, Alabama samplerX 9-5, and Misty Mountains by Peter Hollins ft. Tim Faust. Also, at Christmas, please do We Three Kings by Hound + Fox ft. Tim Faust.
The most amazing thing about Home Free is that everything they do is 100% a'cappella, including the instruments that you "THINK" you hear. There's another video where their "drummer" does a full 7-minute drum solo, with NO drums anywhere!
Home Free is an American a cappella group of five vocalists, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance. Starting as a show group, they toured around 200 shows a year across the United States. The group competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. Members: Austin Brown; Rob Lundquist; Adam Rupp; Tim Foust; Adam Chance
See ya later alligator, after while crocodile! That was an alligator! Crocs have a tapered snout. Largest croc on record is Lolong 20 feet 3 inches; largest gator around 19 feet. Back to our boys! Digiridoo sound at first and end was Adam Chance. The first singer is Austin Brown with a music theater background. Dark beard and glasses is Rob Lundquist. The world champion beatboxer and sound machine is Adam Rupp who along with his brother Chris (who you will see in earlier videos) is a founding member. Last but never least with an effortless 5 octave range is monster and comedian Tim Foust. They do not just cover country and like Pentatonix they have been doing killer quarantine videos. Lord have mercy son, there are too many to list. For some cool video effects, check out Meet In The Middle cover. For pure harmonies, go for Helplessly Hoping. For laughs, checkout the Butts Medley and It's All About the Bass. Patriotic collaboration-- God Bless the USA with Lee Greenwood and Singing Sargents (Air Force Band). End of the Road -- Boyz II Men American Pie -- with Don McLean Only after you have done 10 or more Home Free reactions go for Mayday One more you need to check out is Geoff Castellucci of Voice Play -- 16 Tons and Country Roads.
PLUS, just for a different form of entertainment, you must check out the movie "Man of Constant Sorrow" (where this song is used)....It's a great movie and also has some wonderful music in it.
Hi! So glad you liked Home Free. They are amazing. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 the year after Pentatonix won. They are “a cappella” which means no instruments. Their beatboxer Adam Rupp is amazing. He does drums, harmonica, castanets and all other manner of sounds. He has a drum solo on youtube that is amazing if you want to check it out. Three of the boys are from the south and the other two are from Minnesota. Tim Foust is the bass, he has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and high. Austin Brown is a tenor and sang the lead in this song but they all take turns singing lead depending on the song. Rob Lundquist with glasses is a tenor. Adam Chance (we call him Chance) is the baritone/bass. He did the mouth harp. They sing country but also sing all genres and sing them well. They sing a lot of covers but also write and sing their own stuff. As far as I know Crocodiles are huge and live in Africa. We have alligators here but they can get pretty big too. There’s a video of a monster one on youtube in FL. Just look for Huge gator on golf course in FL and you’ll see it. Try End of the Road by Boyz II Men by Home Free. It’s so good. Or Butts Remix for laughs.
Every time I hear either of these two great acapella groups (in my headphones) I notice another nuance to the singing techniques and arrangements they use. They are the pinnacle of my listening pleasure.
Here's a few more Home Free songs,End of the Road,High up on that Mountain, When a Man Loves a Woman. Love your reaction, and that great smile of yours.!😊👍💖
Love the reactions A-Dog! It's an Alligator. Alligators have round snouts, and Crocs have a triangular snout. Alligators are more fresh water reptiles, whereas Crocs tend to stay in salt water. There is some crossover in the southern US.
Since you enjoy both PTX and Home Free, check out Ring Of Fire, a Johnny Cash cover, featuring the former bassist, Avi from PTX. Tim's low note at the end is jaw dropping!
This! I concurr. check dat song out! Also, when you have some time over, check out clips of Tim Faust ( their bass ) playin human subwoofer and blowing out speakers at their concerts!
An alligator has U shaped head and snout. A croc has a slender, pointy snout. SHeesh man! LOVED your reaction! I got so tickled at your responses!! So you are officially a Pentafry! A fan of both groups. Fun fact: Pentatonix started and revolutionized a capella sound and won the Sing-off on Season 3. Home free followed suite and won Season 4. None of the a capella groups would be where they are today without PTX! Now you have to check out Keven Osuala from PTX: Kover of Down! You will have your mind blown at the talent and musical ability of Kevin. I don't know if you are familiar with 'looping' in beatboxing and layering of songs but this guy is phenomenal! He does stuff I've never seen before! Thanks and happy discovery!
Technically, the term lead tenor applies to the person who sings the Tenor II part, which would be Rob. While Home Free usually has Austin singing the lead part, when they perform introductions at concerts Tim introduces Rob as "our Lead Tenor" for that reason - but you are right. Any member, including Adam Rupp, has the goods to perform as lead vocalist.
Amazing. But don't forget there's also an amazing production and engineering team working with them. I know they are great live but that gotta-have-headphones mix come from the studio.
In the group shot, left to right is Rob (tenor), Adam Chance (baritone), Austin (high tenor), Adam Rupp (beatboxer) and Tim (bass). All of them except Adam Rupp have sung lead depending on the song. Most of them can sing all the vocal parts, especially Tim who has a 5-octave range.
Adam Rupp has sung lead in two songs -- "How Great Thou Art" (for a whole six words) and "Quarantine" (for an astounding 3 words). He sings harmony in quite a few songs when they go to 5-part harmony. It takes a bit of listening to find his voice in those, but he has a really great voice. He usually sings tenor, but when he's beatboxing he has a range that rivals Tim's. He's also done the arrangement on at least two of their songs -- "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Honey, I'm Good". There are fan videos from live shows where he introduces a skit they used to do -- "What we're thinking while we're singing" -- and he jokes that it's the only time he's allowed to talk.
I have seen at least two dozen people react to this. Many of them were excellent, but yours is my favorite. Terrific song, group, and reaction! You are choosing some outstanding songs from a very wide variety. Thank you!
I can only imagine that my reactions to Home Free and Pentatonix matched your own...as I just discovered them myself (: I appreciate you and your smiles...you make ME smile along with your amazement!! Thank you for that 💝
YAAASSS!!! New subscriber here! You can NEVER go wrong with Pentatonix & Home Free!! (Unless you don’t use headphones 🎧! ) I’m really enjoying seeing the pure joy on your face with both groups. Looking forward to seeing you react to Home Free “When A Man Loves A Woman” & Pentatonix “Bohemian Rhapsody “. The beat boxers on those songs will blow your freaking mind! 😊😊😊
Blue Ain't Your Color is a great cover by Home Free. The bearded wonder is Rob Lunquist lead tenor, the high tenor is Austin Brown, Adam Chance baritone/bass, Tim Faust unreal range 5+ octave range, bass, and Adam Rupp not of human drumming abilities and co-founder of Home Free.
They all share the spotlight. That’s what makes this group really great. They show case each of their talents and they do it like their always having fun doing it. See Butt Medley to experience it. Butt Medley Folsom Prison Hillbilly Bone Sea Shanty Medley
I had one of my friends listen to misty mountains cold with Tim Faust, he didn't believe me when I told him to keep his volume low if he didn't want to lose his speaker...he believes me now 😊
Home Free - whom the lead singer is depends on the song. The first singer in this is Austin Brown, the second is Rob Lundquist, deep voice is Tim Foust, jew’s harp/hat with vest guy is (Adam) Chance and he goes by Chance because, and the beatboxer/harmonica man is Adam Rupp. I’d love to see you react to Butts Remix and Countryfried Pop Medley. Those also have a slightly different lineup of members as at that time Chris Rupp (brother of Adam Rupp) was in the band so he was there in place of Chance. And really, you can’t really go wrong with HF. I know I already recommended a couple songs but if I could mention some more: Go Rest High on That Mountain (I prefer the performance in the church to the official video.), How Great Thou Art (we get to hear Adam R. sing in this one), Amazing Grace (Peter Hollens feat. Home Free), Quarantine, etc. Like I said, you can’t go wrong, just dive on in.
Hello Da Real Adogg, Like you I just stumbled upon these fellas surfing TH-cam. ....and was absolutely floored!!!! And their bass Tim Foust. That guys sits a floor below the basement! Lastly, It was nice seeing your reaction as it feels like I get to share it with someone who appreciates performances. Thanks.
I was wondering when you were going to get to Home Free. I found them when I was listening to Pentatonix. I can’t decide who is my favorite group, Home Free or Pentatonix so I’m not going to choose. I just subscribed to your channel and I love watching your amazed and honest reactions. One of my personal favorites of Home Free is “How Great thou art”. Get the box of tissues ready because it’s definitely a beautiful rendition.
Now all ya need is Voiceplay and you'll know the 3 holes every A Capella nut hides in! Start with Oogie Boogie's Song o.- The singer you were lovin, Austin, did a beautiful job with When a Man Loves a Woman. Glad you're enjoying these
Austin Brown is high tenor, Rob Lundquist ("The Bearded Wonder") is tenor, Tim Foust is bass, Adam Chance (Chance) is baritone and does bass lines when Tim sings, and Adam Rupp (known as"The Freak of Nature" and "Spitter") is the beat boxer.
More Home Free!!! Check out their cover of “Can’t Stop the Feeling “ and their original song “Good Old Boy Good Time”! Love your reaction and joyful smile!
I knew that you would like this song, they did an amazing job with it. Believe me when I say that I think that most of us are just blown away by the fact that they use no instruments whatsoever in there videos and songs! What you will discover if you keep checking out Home Free's songs is how incredibly talented each one of these five men are and I mean TALENTED! Please check out their cover version of End of the Road by Boys to Men, they kill this one it is so good! And make sure to also view and listen to a song they do called Helplessly Hoping, be prepared to be blown away by that one too. That is all for now, other requests down the road lol
Just subscribe from Pittsburgh PA you said you couldn't get enough Pentatonix in home Free but I couldn't stop watching yours .watched one of your reaction videos and I watched about 8 more I really enjoying your very authentic and lively. One of my most favorites. keep up the good work
That's Austin. The guy with the beard is Rob. The guy in the back is Chance. The beatboxer is Adam and the bass is Tim. I know you will love these guys like you love Pentatonix. They are FANTASTIC!!!
Ring of Fire - Home Free with Avi Kaplan(PTX) will leave you speechless dueling 5 octave bass vocalists . Also, Home Free and Filharmonics song Caddyshack on the TV show Sing Off is a fun one to watch.
That was a gator, crocodiles have a skinny snout. Gator has a wide broad nose. Love the song love this band love the movie! Oh Brother Where art thou with George Clooney! 💜💜
Austin, the high tenor, has a 5 octave range and Adam Rupp is one of the best beatboxers around. (reference the harmonica sounds without a harmonica). A great acapella group.
There is one more A Capella group to throw into the Rabbit Hole...Voice Play. Start with the Oogie Boogie Song from the Nightmare Before Christmas...it's unbelievable.
That's a gator. filmed in a southern Alabama. Also, the guys in Home Free are really unselfish in allowing all the members to take or share the leads in their songs.
Gotta go with my 2 favorites, When a man love a woman, and Blue ain't your color. PTX, Home Free and Voiceplay are all different but so much fun. Austin, dude in middle, can wail!!
Good call on the headphones! 👍😃 High tenor - Austin Brown Lead tenor - the Beard - Rob Lundquist Beat Box - Freak of Nature/Spitter - Adam Rupp Baritone/bass - Adam Chance "Chance" Bass - or anything else he wants to sing! - Tim Foust All of them can beat box to a certain extent (watch 9-5 live in concert to see it), but Adam swallowed a whole drum kit as a child and keeps adding more sounds. There's a popular video of him doing a drum solo, but look for a more recent one to get an idea of what he's doing more recently. Chance does the Jew's harp you hear first and last, along with guitar songs. Austin has been known to do a harmonica solo with Adam, and Tim has been known to take over beat boxing when Adam is busy with harmonica or scratching. Can't wait to see more of your reactions!
That's an alligator. Gators are greener with a wide snout, crocodiles are grayer with a narrow snout. This was at an Alabama gator farm, if my memory serves me.
Just so ya know ... that was a 'gator. You'll only find 'gators in the U.S. (other than in zoos). If you want to see a croc in the wild, you have to travel outside the U.S. To me the craziest thing is that the same throat that does a a really good job of singing can also duplicate the sound of a harmonica - like he did all through this song - and then near the end re-create the metallic 'sprong' sound of a jaw-harp! *Whoa!*
Good reaction! Welcome to the HF family. The Home Fries! I like that you appreciate good music, good harmony, and acapella. It's unique...I already sub'd bc you're playing HF...
Austin Brown is the first lead you heard and Rob Lundquist is the second. The beat boxer is Adam Rupp, the bass is Tim Foust, and the baritone is Adam Chance (goes by Chance). The harmonica, the mouth harp, and every other sound is strictly vocal. All of the guys sing lead and can sing any part…u er talented. BTW, try “When A Man Loves A Woman” for more of Austin taking the lead.
Dude, I haven't seen any other reactor enjoy himself so much! Man, I just start laughing because you're grinning and getting into the music so much. It's not forced, you're just having fun! Keep it up, I am hitting the Subscribe button now! By the way, Home Free and Pentatonix are like apples and oranges. They are so different, you really can't compare them. They are both amazing!
More songs from Home Free... END OF THE ROAD, it'll blow your mind....Everybody Walkin' this Land, Cross that bridge, Dive Bar Saints, How Great Thou Art, When you walk in,
Okay so the first soloist is Austin Brown (High Tenor), second soloist is Rob Lundquist (Tenor), Bassist is Tim Foust, your beatboxer is Adam Rupp, and you Baritone is Adam Chance (but they all just call him Chance
Another great reaction! The headphone necessity is so true - actually, after these guys and Pentatonix, my suspicion is that you’re listening ‘deeper’ to music than you ever have before. And this tune i was actually written about 100 years ago even though it was prominent in the movie ‘Brother How Art Thou’. Your enjoyment is so visible. There’s lots of great Home Free tracks but I’d be so happy to see you react to these two...”Butts Remix” and “Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget”. Even though they both have great sounding music....the videos will absolutely, without a doubt, have you belly-laughing.
Much like Pentatonix, Home Free doesn't have a fixed lead singer. Being tenors, Austin (hat & vest) and Rob (beard) get more leads than the others. Chance (light beard, leaning on post), the baritone gets fewer. Tim, the bass, gets less also, but he has a high range up to middle tenor, so he gets some leads too. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, is usually too busy to sing very much, but he has a nice tenor voice when he gets a chance.
i've seen other comments to listen to voiceplay, they are amazing and actually have a video with home free called zombies vs hillbillies, you'll love it. you can't go wrong with home free but they recently released a sea shanty medley that really showcases tim's bass voice and adam's beatboxing skills. 2 of my favorite's are elvira and take me home. BTW that's an alligator, american crocs are only found in southern florida and are fewer than 2000. keep up the great reactions. oh and you have a great smile!
Love your reaction! Great song and even greater singers. Being from the deep south, that's a gator. Good eatin'! Gators have square noses, crocs have a more pointed snout.
Love your reaction bro.. Every sound you hear from the time you hit that play button till the song is over, is completely created by them and their mouths. Totally mindblowing!!! Peace.....
They take turns on lead, except for Adam(beat boxer) Lead here, is Austin. He's high tenor, but has a huge vocal rage. BASS is Tim. He's been known to blow speakers on a low note. The guy on left, in overalls, Rob is mid tenor. Chance in back is baritone. OMGosh. You ain't seen nothin' yet!
I was born and raised in southwest Florida, down by the Everglades. Let me tell you "that was an alligator. I lived down there with them most of my life. Crocs have a more pointed mouth. But, it doesn't really matter, if you see either one run as fast as you can.
Make sure y’all hit that like button 👍 for me
Your genuine love for great music shows on your face and reactions. Been with ya since your first Upchurch and I'm sooooo glad we are both still kicking TH-cam ass ! Peace and love for you ADogg

A flute? I LOVE IT! (he's imitating a harmonica 😂)
Helplessly Hoping is a total MUST 🥰🥰
Home Free gives me the shivers too, they are so talented!
I have watched your eval of Pentatonix and Home Free is JUST LIKE THAT! you will love this group as well! Acapella is wonderful!
We have alligators here in the states and look at the snout! Crocodiles have a longer snout!

Another brilliant cover is "Try Everything " from Zootopia
Home Free is such a good group. They just make your soul happy with their music. My personal favorite is their cover of My Church.
...and In The Blood!
Their Mayday is cover is amazing, Tim even sings tenor in that song
Same. And their cover of God Bless The USA ft Glenn Greenwald and the military Choir
That's one of my favorites too.

in the south its a gator......you would need to be in Australia to see a croc

I totally agree. Each one of these guys oozes talent in his own right and when you put it all together...I can’t even find the words!!!
These guys are all so talented and I absolutely love Home Free all the way from Down Under. And it's an Alligator in the video clip.
Yes!!!! I hear your southern coming all out in this! I'm a Country Girl! I hear it instantly! Love This Reaction So Much! ❤️💯❤️💯
Just subscribe from Pittsburgh PA you said you couldn't get enough Pentatonix in home Free but I couldn't stop watching yours .watched one of your reaction videos and I watched about 8 more I really enjoying your very authentic and lively. One of my most favorites. keep up the good work
Alligator has a rounded nose. Crocodile has a longer thinner snout and are primarily in Africa.
That's Austin. The guy with the beard is Rob. The guy in the back is Chance. The beatboxer is Adam and the bass is Tim. I know you will love these guys like you love Pentatonix. They are FANTASTIC!!!
Love the joy on your face while you listen to them .
Ring of Fire - Home Free with Avi Kaplan(PTX) will leave you speechless dueling 5 octave bass vocalists . Also, Home Free and Filharmonics song Caddyshack on the TV show Sing Off is a fun one to watch.
Alligator has a broad mouth and a croc has a pointy mouth. That's a gator
Home Free are amazing.
Your excitement and enthusiasm is friggin' contagious bro. Ty.
That was a gator, crocodiles have a skinny snout. Gator has a wide broad nose. Love the song love this band love the movie! Oh Brother Where art thou with George Clooney! 💜💜
It's an alligator. Crocks have pointy snouts.
I heard a French girl calling it a crocodile. She said you guys corrected me in the comments, saying it was an ele_ge'tor.
Alligators in the US, crocks are from Aus.
@@melodystrange1141 We have saltwater crocks too. Crocks are also in Africa, in fact, the BIG ones are in Africa.
Austin, the high tenor, has a 5 octave range and Adam Rupp is one of the best beatboxers around. (reference the harmonica sounds without a harmonica). A great acapella group.
That harmonica sound was unreal.
Their cover of end of the road will blow you away. Get ready for it. Down the rabbit hole you go.
There is one more A Capella group to throw into the Rabbit Hole...Voice Play. Start with the Oogie Boogie Song from the Nightmare Before Christmas...it's unbelievable.
Yes! Voiceplay! Oogie Boogie Song and Grim Grinning Ghosts from them are two of my favorites!!
And Voctave! Disney Love Medley, Disney Princess Medley, Mary Did You Know ...
Voice Plays. My Mother Told Me is a killer.
one doing bebopp or sound is adam, lead singer(high voice) austin. Bass is tim, guy with beard and glasses rob, chris.
Alligator has a rounded noise a crocodile has a more pointed noise and croc's get bigger then gators we have both in Florida
High tenor - Austin Brown
Lead tenor - the Beard - Rob Lundquist
Beat Box - Freak of Nature/Spitter - Adam Rupp
Baritone/bass - Adam Chance "Chance"
Bass - or anything else he wants to sing! - Tim Foust
All of them can beat box to a certain extent (watch 9-5 live in concert to see it), but Adam swallowed a whole drum kit as a child and keeps adding more sounds.
*Whoa!*
You need to find the video of Chance doing a drum solo without any drums. You will be amazed. Home Free are all amazing.
This is Accapela, all their Voices only, The instrument sounds is their voices. An old Country Bluegrass song!
I am just now seeing this. OH.EM.GEE. Unbelievable!!! 👏❤
I've heard this song all my life. My dad was a bluegrass singer and guitar player. RIP Dad
Harmonizing is awesome!!!! Yes headphones are also awesome.
Home Free collabs with Lee Greenwood & the USA Airforce Band on “Proud to be an American BEAUTIFULLY!!! 🥰🇺🇸
How, how? 😂 Welcome to the Rabbithole of Homefree!
I call Home Free a squirrel nest because it is full if NUTZ🤪
More songs from Home Free... END OF THE ROAD, it'll blow your mind....Everybody Walkin' this Land, Cross that bridge, Dive Bar Saints, How Great Thou Art, When you walk in,
Alligator got a more rounded snout. Crocodile snout more long and pointed.
If you see teeth when their mouth is closed it's a crocodile. No teeth it's a alligator.
Love your reaction Tim Foust gets in your soul 😱🤯😂
You got me smiling, how you know what's good. You get it and there's hope for all you young dudes who missed it
It's amazing how they make those music sounds by mouth 😊😎
he's got a harmonica in his hand why does everyone think he doesn't you can't make that sound with your mouth
You like Austin Browns voice so much. You need to react to him doing When a Man loves a Woman.... Headphones as always.
Okay so the first soloist is Austin Brown (High Tenor), second soloist is Rob Lundquist (Tenor), Bassist is Tim Foust, your beatboxer is Adam Rupp, and you Baritone is Adam Chance (but they all just call him Chance
Its a gator bro. Crocks are way bigger and their snout is longer and more of a point to it
They are absolutely amazing!!!
Love your reaction! Never heard of this band but thanks to you, I'll be listening more!
Adogg, I'm having a good time just by watching you have a good time. Good job
Exactly the harmonica, with no harmonica, bad ass!!!
You can't really go wrong with any Home Free song. Covers and Originals are all top notch!
Peace.....
How Great Thou Art. Will give you chills!!!
I love your reactions!! Have missed you!!Welcome to be The Home Fries!!
They take turns on lead, except for Adam(beat boxer)
Lead here, is Austin.
😊😊😊😊 from a great movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou
For some fab southern fun, try 'Hill Billy Bone' cover. For a live drum solo, yes, by mouth, Adam Rupp does a mean beast of a solo on concerts.
