Congratulations, Jim ... Intial talk with Rob was like " Does he not recognize the Doctor of superbikes.. look at him explaining BIKE things to JIM.. 😊 But really a nice guy,, kept the bike real nice.. Looking forward for more content of this absolutely beautiful machine..
You will not be disappointed by the XSR9. I rode mine through hell and back as a daily, and a part from a dodgy O2 sensor, it's been perfectly reliable. And oh my god what a fun engine it has, simply a masterpiece
Nice bike you've got there, my wife Mandy has a Tracer 900GT with Akrapovic full system and it sounds lovely from the CP3 engine. That guy sounds well off, I hope he finds time to enjoy his toys. :)
It's nice to see you reward yourself after all the hard work you have done for other people. I just don't really understand the keeping it as an ornament thing but hey it's your bike. I couldn't own a bike without riding it but I'm sure you'll put a few good miles on it.
I think CP3 engine derived bikes are known to have a very tiny chain slack spec according to the manual, no idea why exactly. I thought you might be getting an XJR but the XSR 900 does look good too!
Chain tension on XSR9 too tight? The very nice man at Yamaha says maybe not. So I disconnected the shock, line up the sprocket centres and swing arm pivot point one time then put in 5mm slack. Shock back on then check slack as per Mr Yamaha's advice. Now, it's a bit more slack on side stand but I guess Mr Yamaha knows best at 5-15mm??? Had the same conversation with the Yam tech of the year at Fowlers who presented me with a PDI'd new MT01 with a chain tighter than a gnat's chuff..."it's what Yamaha say Sir and they build the bikes..." I then put some slack in to reduce load on output shaft and stop the suspension movement being restricted by the chain. Just my idea for my bikes but I'm sure Mr Yamaha must know something...now how do i ask him cuz Yam UK only give the corporate answer
Nice bike 👍 but might be my dumb ass but the front tyre is on the wrong way. Tread should push water out not in to the centre. The rear is correct but reverse of front. Did you do your wrist in by having a quick danger wank over the bike. lol . CCm is nice but not my style. Like the think it's the 410 430's can't really remember model numbers but they do some really nice bikes. Good vid.
Check out #windyurtnowski he painted one of his bikes that scheme, I machine polish bike paint, those swirls and scratches will come out of the tank you can wrap with clear Xpel, good luck Jim great bike.

Thanks Mate really kind words. You can thank Benji for this one, he filmed and edited the whole thing. All I had to do was turn up 😁
Nice having new toys, like a kid at Christmas, lovely bike.
Totally Agree. Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder. Congrats Jim. Looks awesome.

That paint scheme reminds me of my 1977 Yamaha FS1E-DX.Happy days.
Love that paint scheme. Hope you are going to film your cleaning methods for it.👍
No better feeling that picking up a new bike ❤
Never go anywhere without your vacuum cleaner.
Some of the best videos happen on the field , another great series coming .
Just in case it fucks off down the fucking road! Awesome Jim. 👍

I don’t think they ever sold this one in the US. I’d go nuts for one of them. I’m a big Kenny Roberts fan. He’s a year older than me.

@@SuperbikeSurgeryTV where the cleaning video please
Here in the states we would never run a bike on 2yo fuel. That friggin ethanol starts rotting after about a month and a half 😳
