Awesome video. I studied in Durban for 6 years and we fished here a lot during the late 80's. It was stunning fishing. A pity how people litter like this. I am surprised there are any fish left. I live in Ladysmith now and do a LOT of bass fishing. Catch and release always. Tiight lines and i hope the leg gets better soon.

Hwzt bru. I fish here often with small live mullets. Usually get good size perch n kingie. We landed a few rock salmon about 2 to 3 kgs but got busted up with some very big ones

I used to fish there regularly 45 years ago as a kid and I cant remember anyone ever catching Kob under that bridge. It was before the 2 big islands got washed away in the 80's. We used to catch a lot of blacktail and tobies off the rocks closer to the mouth. Do you still see those there? My grandfather used to tell me that 50 years before that people used to shoot sharks from that bridge.

E coli is pulling them in.
The river is polluted after the rains.
    The stench upstream is terrible.
