How old is your fig tree? It's so beautiful. I tasted my first tree-ripened Desert King fig last summer. It felt like a soft bag of jelly. The flavor blew my mind, so juicy and sweet! Surprisingly, the tree it came off of doesn't get full sun yet was loaded, which gives me hope. Just picked up this variety today from the local nursery.

What do you suggest to do once picked if you can't eat all the fresh figs within a few days. I picked a few Sunday (i have the same one) and noticed they don't keep past a few days.
