Really enjoyed listening to Mr Rice, may he rest in peace. Do you by chance have any sources you could point me to regarding the 501st in WW2? My grandfather was in the 501st, F company. I've been trying to learn more for a few years now. Sadly, he passed before I was born. I do have his discharge papers and quite a few other documents and medals right now. They actually aren't mine, but I have possession of them for the time being. My father had them before he passed and dealing with his estate I uave them now. Most all my aunts and uncles really dont seem to know much, they all thought he was in the 506th. Obviously because of band of brothers, it came out when I was 8. That show and my grandfather is what got me so interested as a child. It's crazy to think 80 years ago, yesterday, my grandfather was a young 21 year old man landing somewhere in-between DZ D and C.
