Beautiful ringing tones from top to bottom. Dare I say it , a rare tenorish timbre quality for this baritone voice type. I enjoyed this interpretation and performance very much. Alex Lawrence is an artist not just a singer. Thankyou from me. Bravo 👏
Truly outstanding sound full of passion, pronunciation... very even sound from top to bottom. Absolutely a top-notch first -rate performance. 4:45!!!!!!!!!! BRIAN
It's enough for me! I heard an ad for AVA Don Giovanni a little while ago which featured about 5 seconds of La Ci Darem, and had to check out the voice. Wow! Sadly, I'm singing on the 10th and the 15th and can't get to a live performance. Hope there will be more opportunities soon!
Whilst I applaud a fine voice and excellent diction I'm afraid this for me is a disappointing reading of the aria. Where is the light and shade? Answer: totally absent... I got no sense whatsoever of the utter despair that the prophet feels at this stage of the work, not a trace of a man being at the end of his tether. It's all bang, bang bang. I longed for some oh, oh, oh....

This must've sounded amazing live! The mics are really good but the dynamics just don't come through like a live performance.
Spectacular.
Beautiful. Bravo!
beautifully done--bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superb
Very Dietrich Fischer Dieskau! And I mean that as a sincere compliment! 💕
I also performed this song its a great solo piece.
Sorely missed out good choral singing these days.
he is a bari-tenor, no low notes!
🤦♂️ Voice types are not classified by range, but by timbre. He’s a high baritone. I’ve heard Thomas Hampson sing a high b-flat, and beautifully.

…something more…prophetic.
