Swarthmore College is a private, liberal arts with engineering college located 11 miles outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on an idyllic arboretum. Swarthmore has an enrollment of 1,700 students and a student to faculty ratio of 8:1. Students can pursue degrees in more than 40 courses of study with the flexibility of creating their own majors and taking classes at the University of Pennsylvania, Bryn Mawr College, and Haverford College.
