    The market's direction can swiftly change, with indexes frequently transitioning from a bear market to a bull market precisely when the news is most negative and investor sentiment reaches its lowest point.

      For the average person, the strategies are fairly demanding. In actuality, most professionals who have the necessary abilities and knowledge to complete such occupations do so successfully.

      Well agreed, I'm quite lucky exposed to finance at early age, started job at 19, purchased first home at 28, got married shortly afterwards to raise kids early. Going forward, got laid-off at 40 amid covid '19 outbreak, immediately consulted with an advisor in order to stay afloat and after subsequent investments, I'm barely 10% short of $1m ballpark goal as of today.

    U.S. t bills are the same as junk bonds. In order to get buyers you need to keep raising yields as the national debt keeps going higher.

      I'm looking at high-yield dividend stocks. Selling 200k worth of equities is stupid without reinvesting it. I might turn to cash soon if I don't invest it. Any particulars? (Buying bonds or CDs is not for me)

      Don't get any such ideas. If I were you, I would bother less and buy gold and bitcoin. There are more institutional investors in long bonds than individuals and they are all relinquishing their long term holdings.

    I learned that the stock market was a rich man's game (yes, grandparents lost it all back then and preached that forever) but I've been around long enough to really taste how great it can be. To be profitable, with inflation at 6.1% These are surely desperate times, but in my opinion, there is no market condition that a good financial advisor cannot navigate, especially those that have existed since the crisis of 2008 and before.

      Picking stocks is a risky thing to do, particularly for non-professionals. I learnt that in 2020, when I lost almost everything. But I switched to using a financial advisor and I've been returning at least $38k every month so I’ve been sticking to investing via an Advisor.

    One thing I have learned about the stock market is that it is very very manipulated. It will not let investors know when it go up or down. It will always do the opposite what investors think it might do... If investors can figure out what the market is going to do, companies will go bankruptcy.... So I don't waste my time and energy to bother what the market is going to do...... for me .. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Sandy Barclays, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I think valuations are too high partly because baby boomers want to pad their retirement accounts before reallocating to treasuries, etc. I’m guessing there will be a tipping point where the selling causes a drop, which causes panic selling. Personally i wouldn't sleep easy having a big position in gold. Its overpriced for what little real world use it has. Kind of like a better version of bitcoin but with technology evolving and forcing change i think a dinosaur like gold will be nearly worthless within a decade or 2. The logic to hold gold will become less and less relevant as the worlds financial system changes

      For a trade you are good. Be very close to the exit. I think the middle and long end of the curve surges much much higher... like 15 to 18%. I mean the US Govt is super broke, even more broke then they know. When they need to stimulate who is going to lend at 4%? No one. There's too much risk of the dollar going to zero or default. The bond vigilaties will come back out just like they did last October. And not to be super pessimistic... i think all markets get crushed. Nothing is going to do well except maybe commodities. Next we get a liquidity, collateral, and credit (debt) crisis all at the same time. If you have studied past recession or depressions you know that just one is bad. 3 together will rival Great Depression stuff. Could I be wrong? Of course. If I am wrong than the purchasing power of the dollar is going down even faster. AT some point inflation gets so bad we end up in an inflationary depression... no one has the purchasing power to buy anything but basics. We are already very close to that now. Please be careful.

    Trend following strategies are always late and never catch the turning points.

    • @bpb5541
      @bpb5541 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most don't have skill to trade price action. Trend following is the second best thing. You never get the bottom or tops but you get the middle and if the instrument you are trading is not choppy... your good. We only need the middle. Now if you have skills and can trade price action. You are always the first on the train and the first off the train. Last thing, Trend trading is horrible in a sideways market to tell ... just go to the next higher time frame if swing trading the 4 hour chart go up to the daily and look at ADX. If it is below and declining from 25 it is range bound. How other set of tools to trade that. You use a momentum indicator... sell when RSI get above 70 and go long when it gets below 25. Now know at some point it will break out of that range. You will be wrong at some point. That is why we use stop loss orders. If you got stopped out of a range bound trade. You automatically go the other way. Then you are back into a trend and use the trend trading tool box. What I just took you 99% of market participants do not know. The only thing that is hard is when to get out on a winning trade. It is a bit science and a bit art. Get out too soon, you left too much on the table, get out too late and you give back too much money. This is the hardest part, the rest is pretty easy.

    His point is simple. Risk reward ratios. Yes the market can go higher. Yes it can make new highs. Then what. It goes up forever. Get real. This market will get cut in half. When the fed cuts watch the long end of the curve. This all started with easy money. So it will end with rates north of 20 percent.

    • @bpb5541
      @bpb5541 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Damn that is not good. CNBC (and all the media companies) are owned by very rich folks. Those folks need liquidity... folks to sell too. I think the 10 year dips when the FED cuts and then surges higher, much higher when the US Government needs to borrow to stimulate. Think about it. The FED is either going to save the dollar or they are going to let the markets crash. Which way do you think they are going to go. If history has anything to say about it ... they will try to devalue the dollar (inflate their way out) it has worked in the past. The reason it will not work this go, is that the debt levels are too high and folks are going to demand a much higher yield to loan to the US Government. I think we get a 70s/80s event... when yields surge.. not the short end... the middle and long end. If I am correct that means TLT long term holders are on the wrong side of the trade. WE will know soon enough. Please be careful.
