- In this version, I had rebalanced the effect and optimization, and separate two reshade preset. (Cool / Warm version)
On most monitors, the Warm preset will look much more realistic, but the choice is yours.
Each version comes with two presets
1)Default with weak Reflection
2)for Wet Conditions.
After numerous tests, I realized that using the Reflection tweak is more effective and looks more realistic for RBR than setting forced Ambient Occulus for RBR. Of course, not all objects reflect like water or a mirror. Still, the reason why I set weak Reflection in the default preset is because all objects reflect light to some extent so we can see them.

@@2gj906 actually i really like the atmospheric haze / blue whatever it's called. I think it adds a lot to the realistic visuals to my eye.

@@bernardoberner4 by comparing this to Dirt Rally 2.0 and WRC Generations, it looks realistic. Those two games are looking child-ish for me, like in WRCG the water reflections are more like a mirror than real wet road reflections.
@@bernardoberner4 rbr looks overall like just most realistic rally game. Sounds physics tracks.and overall graphics feel to me. And the feel of the speed.
@437Kasugano although I agree to some extent, I would say that DR2's graphics are by far the best, especially if we take into regard how photorealistic it is. Now, about WRC Kylotonn games, I really thank God that they stopped collaborating, coz those games were generally less than mediocre.

I think the vanilla one is more contrast-ish, and because of that, think it's better. But ngl the reshade looks great aswell.
i have installed it, but I can't turn it on and off in the game in any way. It isn't working
I do like the added environmental effects but for pure competitive play I think the better contrast between surfaces would be an advantage.

This messed up my install. When trying to run in VR I now get "The procedure entry point direct3dcreatevr could not be located in the dynamic link library" error.
Even the re-shade is like more real, i like the original, It is more vibrant
Yeah this reshade is just one of the way for enjoy this game. These are optional, play the game however you like. 😉

@Leza: Please help, it is not working for me... I installed it according your guide, using JSGME, but it is not working. Keyboard shortcuts are also not working. Should this mod work with the RALLYSIMFANS EDITION? It does "something" but not what it supposed to dO. After activation of your mods, Full screen is zoomed in, can't see the whole game. And double-right-click with mouse stopped working, does not open the Pacenotes window where I could change x, y, z and "Show Car Exterior"). So what can I do to make it working? Thanks
Sorry but I can't understand the cause. There is nothing in this reshade that affects RBR's resolution or the Pacenotes plugin. When I tested this on RSF before releasing it, I couldn't find any problems.
@@LezaKim Strange. Did you test with RSF plugin or the original old RBR game? Which language keyboard do you have for the shortcuts to control the mod? I am not able to change anything using the keyboard. I can try again when I know on which language keyboard you defined them.

Anyone tried "Nvidia RTX Remix" on RBR?
I dont like the way you can see the car through the dirt cloud on replays. Any fix to get the dirt thicker?
I also don't like wrong shader on dirt but only way is turn off the AO,SSR. I put a lot of effort into color output, so even turning off AO and SSR should give good results.

Honestly, the original looks alright enough. I'd rather play with OG graphics or wait for a full-on graphic overhaul. But that's a matter of taste ofc. Great job anyways

Looks awesome. Is there any way to get this to work with the VR mod? Seems like the VR mod requires the d3d9.dll that Reshade replaces.

This reshade pack by Retrolux is include the plugin for reshade with VR but I'm not sure this is working for my reshade.

In the installation of the rallysimfans plugin I have activated the option of your reshader and now it is activated automatically every time I start the game, I can only deactivate it manually if I press the "-" key. I would like to know how I have to do to remove it from my installation, in the launcher, or in the root folder of the game. Thank you.
If you read my guide carefully and installed reshade using with Mod Enabler, disabling it will revert back to the original.
@@LezaKim I think that you have not understand me. I have not installed the reshader after installing the RBR, but in the RBR installation in the Rallysimfans plugin at the end it gives you the option to include the reshader in said installation and I checked it when I installed it. The truth is that it is integrated and starts automatically when starting RBR. I want to know how I should uninstall it from the root of the game or disable it. Because as I have told you, I have not installed it with the executable that you have on your page. I know that with that executable, if you don't run it, the mod doesn't work, but when I go to the root of RBR with the initial installation, I don't know how to do it. Thanks for the feedback.
Reshade looks nice but I think that i20 may be making a bit more popping and gurgling noises than is realistic! 😂
Or save fps and turn your monitor colour down and brightness up couple of clicks? o_O

Hello, I have HP VR Reverb G2 and although the reshade works through steamVR, I can't apply the filters, when I choose to open RBR in VR mode the message appears: Failed to rename E:\Richard Burns Rally\d3d9.dll.rbrvr. disabled as d3d9.dll IOException Cannot create an existing file. When I delete the file it is possible to enter the game, but I don't have the wet reflection.
Sorry but I have no idea because I don't have any VR device now.
Roughly how much do I need to spend on a pc to make it look like the right with good fps
My pc specs are 9600k & RTX2060 & ram 16g & SSD. (3134x1080 resolution)
In this system, the video's reshade setting cause slightly frame drops but I can't feel the frame drops when I focused on the driving.
If you don't use the reshade, it is okay to 9400k & gtx 1050 with FHD (1920x1080 - this is my old system). But for the 4K with reshade, you need more powerful pc.
And one more, RBR is must be installed on SSD because mod maps have very slow loading time on HDD.
음 저는 rbr 해보면 배경이 좀 매끄럽지 않게 움직이는 문제가 있어서, 해결하고 싶은데.. 특히 코너를 돌때.. 혹시 레자님도 그 부분을 인지하고 계신지 모르겠네요.. 프레임 부족은 아니고.. 설정문제도 아닌것 같은데, 순간 순간 두두두둑 하고 끊기는 느낌이랄까요.. 모니터 문제도 아닌것 같은데, 제컴에서만 그런건지.. 아직 다른컴에 깔아보진 않았구요.. 가끔 다른영상보면 비슷한 증상이 있는거 같기도 하고.. 원래그런건지 모르겠네요~~~~

이미 랠리매니아들은 엄청 하고 있는 게임이고 모드맵은 더트랠리나 wrc 처럼 가장 긴 스테이지 토막내고 갯수 뻥튀기 안하고도 이미 rsf 플러그인 기준으로 300개가 넘었습니다 ㅎ 어느 랠리 게임이 나오더라도 이 컨텐츠를 따라잡는건 불가능합니다. 그리고 리차드 번즈 랠리의 정신적 후속작은 더트랠리입니다. (오피셜)

I have to say I just HATE the cryptic community and how the game itself is so hard to find and to buy. Like is it so f*cking hard to just let me buy the DAMN GAME so I can create my own tracks for RBR?

RBR is already near-abandonware, and it's not even clear who owns the copyright. Some people speculate that RBR's copyright went over to Square Enix, but this is also not accurate. Even RBR, which was sold by GOG until several years ago, was not known who took the copyright fee, so the game must have been taken down by GOG.
So there is currently no way to 'legally' buy this game, so use my RTP pack or RSF community version (link in description). I understand how you feel, but it's not right to take out your anger here.
