You have been a true blessing. My dad with vascular dementia fell and broke his femur last month, got the flu and had surgery, then began to have respiratory issues. Hospital transferred to a specialty hospital and 1.5 weeks later, I was able to bring him to his home on hospice, where he always told me he wants to die. I’m watching the signs and waiting. No food or water for 6 days. Luckily you taught me about the secretions so I was prepared. Also, one of my hospice nurses watches you as well! We love you!
I was a nurse for 43 yrs and retired 😮 I am very proud of your work hence I am proud of you. I congratiulate you on your upcoming book. It is much needed.
My new favorite channel. You are wonderful. I’m watching the replay now. My Dad passed away a month ago. The beautiful blessing is your video without even searching videos like this at all a week before he died in the Surgical ICU popped up about the death rattle. Had I not seen your video I wouldn’t have known when I sat by his side in hospice when the death rattle was happening -what was happening. Your video helped immensely and my Dad made his transition in the most peaceful way we could provide for him under the circumstances. You were more helpful and empathetic than his hospice nurses unfortunately. Thank you very much for all you are doing. ❤🙏❤️
Thank you for making these videos🙏. My husband is in hospice at home right now. He is 87 and I am 68. Together for 35 years, married 33 years. I am taking very good care of him but I get anxiety attacks just thinking that he is dying soon! Lately, my husband is talking about going home to Jesus! We are Christians and have very strong faith. He always say he is good with the Lord. Thank you, because of your videos, I know what to watch out for as my husband’s life is failing before my eyes. I like being prepared so that I can make my husband’s last remaining life comfortable and without any pain. I do give him a lot of kisses and he always give me the sweetest smile🥰
My dad is in Hospice. I’m an only child. Just know you are in a heavenly realm. I’m going to pray a loud next time I’m with dad. He’s in a nursing home. It’s been so hard because dad’s family are judgmental and haven’t even come to see him.
Hi Julie. Been watching you for a a few months. Your words are very comforting and helpful to me as I am 81 yo male who had questions about death and dying. Thank you for your information.
I read a long time ago that is the reason most Drs no longer wear ties. They never get laundered and move from patient to patient taking germs with them.
Hi Julie, my mom just passed and I felt you were with us every step of the way. Your insightful, straightforward explanations allowed us to relax into and accept each situation as they arose. Thank you for helping lessen the emotional blows. What you do matters to so many!!
❤gotta go sweetheart. Love you. Enjoy our meetings so much. It's getting soon now. Seeing so many hallucinations lately but they haven't scared me but I don't recognize anyone. So that's weird. Anyway, no biggie.. enjoy your life.
My mom has CHF and just has 30% of her heart working. Can her meds help her live longer or just help her breathe, I am having a hard time dealing with this, do you have an idea on how long she might live. I will love her and spend as much time with her as I can, of course. I need to deal with it and pull my bootstraps up first. Thank you so much. I pray she doesn't suffer.
I missed the livestream unfortunately but I am hoping you can answer my question. My dad is presently in hospice, he is 92, his kidney function is failing and is presently at 17 to 19 percent I believe. The other day he was complaining of excruciating pain in his back and they administered morphine to him. My brother was there, not I, and the nurse told him the pain was from his kidneys failing. Well, my late husband had kidney failure and extreme pain was NOT a symptom. I looked it up on both the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic websites and neither listed pain as a symptom. I relayed this to my brother and he said, I quote, “I am listening to the hospice nurse not the internet.” I thought that was rude and stupid, since I got the information not only from first hand experience with my husband’s kidney failure but information from two world famous hospitals. What is your opinion on this? Are there cases where kidney failure could cause pain bad enough for morphine? I was wondering if he had a kidney stone because that WILL cause a ton of pain, but from what I am understanding even if he has that they will ignore it and just let him be in pain and treat that with the morphine.
I have C.O.P.D. .I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS DISEASE FOR 35 YEARS. I HAVE MOW BECOME UNABLE TO WALK I FELL AT HOME AND HAVE DEFIDED THAT IT'S TIME FOR HOSPICE. MY BODY IS GIVING UP TOO BAD MY BRAIN IS STILL GOOD IM TIRED IT'S TIME I let go
I’m curious about something. My Dad recently was hospitalized for sepsis. He’s 88 so everyone was surprised when he recovered. He had the reaching and mumbling to unseen people or things. Has anyone seen this in a person who lived several months or years after? So far it’s been about a month but he is almost back to his 88 year old normal. I realize Julie is hospice so she might not be able to answer my question. Can anyone?
If you live in a state where death with dignity isn’t legal, can you go to a state where it is legal to die with dignity? You’re providing a great service and I think you’re awesome!!
I have a question please. My little girl passed away from Cystic Fibrosis. The Doctors and Nurses left it up to us/, family to push the button on the IV so she didn’t suffer. We still feel to this day that we killed her. She was 9 years old I was told from a nurse that the reason they leave it up to family is because the last dose of of the morphine is on family and not them
Hi nurse Julie please can you help me my dad died just a the beginning of covid it has me worried ever since I was with him only for about 45 minutes then I left as the nurses wanted me to leave my dad had this horrendous noise he couldn’t talk or move it was frightening and I left. the care home rang me about an hour later to say he died I should have stayed with him I wonder did he know I was there it troubles as I wasn’t there when he actually passed and I feel I should have stayed it worries to think he knew I left please help me with this thank you ❤
I think we all just do the best we can. I feel fairly sure that after a person passes they either aren’t at all concerned about life here or they understand things differently (and better). And guilt serves no real purpose in this situation so no worries. My opinion.
Hi Julie. My mom is now around the clock morphine. Very labored breathing. I have so many questions. Sometimes the labored breathing looks so scary also I’m swapping her mouth and noticing some greenish mucus and some purple. She can’t eat or swallow. I do hear gargling.

How do I get one of the gift memberships? Can anyone help me, please?

You shouldn’t feel responsible although I’m sure that’s easier said than done. 😢
So unkind for that person to say that. Sorry for your loss

Sometimes the labored breathing looks so scary also I’m swapping her mouth and noticing some greenish mucus and some purple. She can’t eat or swallow. I do hear gargling.
I am so sorry you have to go through this. It's awful especially being close to your Mom. She still can hear you. Sending love your way
I think from one of Julie's previous vids it could be mom needs to be slightly elevated, not laying down flat, as this maybe stomach acid,
