There was actually a Cull Obsidian theory going around during the wait for Infinity War that he had fought Captain Marvel. However, in Infinity War the colors are closer to orange and purple than red and blue.
But look at how simple those figures are compared to Legends. I wouldn’t be surprised if the turn around for a legends fig was twice as long as one for a pop.

Culls weapon in the movie keeps changing and altering shapes. So at one point his weapon probably did look like the Marvel Legends Hammer thing we got on the baf. Love the new weapon so much better!
The colors on the new one are accurate. I just watched two different clips from Infinity War. She didn't have white on her costume or gold on her armor.
I love your question at the end of the video. It’s true that the reason Hasbro keeps making sub par figures is 100% on us consumers buying them up. They want to meet the hype of the movies at their peek which is around the time of its release I know you’ve already talked with some of the guys from hasbro about the amount of time it takes for them to go from the decision of what figures are made to the release of the figure. On the one hand I feel for the ML team since waiting too long to release figures would surly have some negative impact on sales numbers, but they know that as collectors we are getting pretty fed up with figures being released of concepts then having accurate figures released several months later. I’m by no means a completionist so it doesn’t bother me missing out on the earlier figure or the more accurate figure, but it’s a shame that that is the business model we deal with.

I got these pack in Jan 15th, it’s my first time treating myself on this kind of toys! :’) I never bought 6 inch marvel legends before mostly I prefer 3.75 figures but they stop making those. Go get em people! I got convinced by reading reviews in Amazon, “get it now or be prepared to pay way more after market.”
Geezus! This pack is going for $150.00 on ebay and $189.99 on ToyWiz. Scalpers making a killing! It's a good thing Amazon still has it for $119.99 ($23.99 each). Thanos and Cull Obsidian are the only two I would want to get from the pack.
Great review. Regarding your question at the end, there's really no monetary motivation for Hasbro to wait on releasing a figure. These figures are partly for marketing the movie and has a positive feedback loop, in that collectors who see the movie are likely to buy a representation of a character, even if it's inaccurate. Then, Hasbro can release a more film accurate version and sell even more figures. So, the way things are now, the movie gets marketed through the figures and Hasbro makes money on both the initial figure and the film accurate one. There's simply no monetary reason for them to change this model. It's good that they are releasing it through an exclusive though, at least that way, the film accurate 2nd version doesn't consume a slot on a regular wave.
I like this pack but the main one is cull obsidian. I think he’s the only one people actually want. My proxima midnight broke so it’ll be nice to get her I guess. For thanos they should’ve given us the garden thanos instead of giving this thanos for the 80th time. Glad they remade these tho

Hi Shartimus, Upon another viewing of Infinity War, the silver paint on Proxima Midnight's armor is actually accurate, as depicted in the Train Station battle early on. Her armor might have evolved over time, or just contained different versions. For example, see Thanos'. Also regarding Cull Obsidian, we got the BAF which was a concept prototype, and in this 5-pack, the version he is shown as in the Asgardian ship and in New York. But we still don't have the version with the mechanical arm as shown in Wakanda when he battled Hulkbuster. I love them all ❤️. This set is beautiful. Love your videos, keep up the great work!!
I didn't have any of these figures because I started collecting Marvel Legends much later after the release of these figures(Except Maw but didn't want him yet because I did not have any of the others). Because of this set I now have all of them without having to pay for ebay prices for these figures which look excellent together.
So upon some furhter research, Proxima Midnight's new colour suit is screen acurate. I was curious to see if it was a costume change for when she goes to Wakanda as she changes her weapon to a sword anyway so might have been a change but nope. The image used for comparing the figure to her gold and white uniform is from the trailer or earlier concept art/ publicity and this shot is completely different in the film and she's definarely got grey and dark silver armour. Shame really as I think her gold and white armour is a lot more impressive and I was considering a head/ neck swap but it is actually screen accurate and the head is the only issue on the old one having dark cheeks and no chin mark. It makes for an accurate comic figure as stated by. I also noticed there is different gold sections on Ebony Maw's uniform and the original figures grey is probably better so between the two there mught be a perfect figure. Corvus Glaive as fine as he was whilst the other 3 needed these changes.
Cant wait for my proxima,cull and Ebony! The spear of proxima is kinda stout. So im thinking of making a cuztomized one that is longer and more screen accurate.

Just checked all scenes of Proxima in the movie, HD, never saw that bright white or pure gold on her costume, the new figure seems much more screen accurate. In the other hand, Thanos only had burn scars on his face after he destroyed the stones, but that time, he had different outfit. After the snap, the skin on his head wasn't charred.
Nice set, but i wish they just released all of them separately as i only really want Kull and perhaps maybe Thanos. I am honestly fine with the original releases, including BAG Thanos. The pack we should have gotten was an armored Thanos, battle damage Cap and battle damage Iron Man with unhelmeted heads for him and Rescue/Pepper Potts.
unfortunately, the initial accuracy isn't a big worry for them. The faster they get made, the sooner they sell. Not to mention they sell more when slight revisions get made
Proxima Midnight is screen accurate from the first appearance when they fought Vision and Scarlet Witch. Her armor was silver and darker. I also just rewatched Infinity War and Poxima Midnight is accurate I think her armor changed in Endgame.
Everybody looks good but one thing I have noticed is that there is a lack of paint. I can live with that since money had to go around to make everyone.
I don't collect enough Marvel Legends or purchase them quick enough so I didn't have any of these. I have a few pieces to the BaFs but I never finished them and later sold all the parts I had that were too expensive to complete. So this was an instant buy for me. I got really good versions of these characters all in one go. It's trouble enough sometimes just trying to keep up with Transformers lately with all the Generations Selects figures constantly being released. I just can't get to the Marvel Legends as quickly as I'd like to. So more like this would be great but just don't do them too often.
Hi I wonder if you could take the armored Thanos and switch arms and legs from one of the others Thanos figures? Would it look better? Would the articulation be improved?
Cool review 👍🏼 what sold me on this set was the movie accurate on some of the figures. But most of all was cul obsidian and his weapon. I had to buy a 3D replica of the weapon on eBay for the build a figure.

New Cull Obsidian looks dope but I can live with the original baf even though it's not screen accurate. Took me about two years to complete the damn team though (finally got Corvus about the same time this set was announced), it does kind of bother me, but not enough to buy this and eventually have doubles I don't have use for.
So this is all I wanted for Christmas because I don't have a single member of the family and this was the perfect way to get them all, and I hadn't gotten my wife to pre order it until boom! It was completely sold out with Amazon saying "we don't know when or if this will ever come back in stock". Ok! But then there's no reviews, and no one is re selling them anywhere. So wtf why can't I buy this anywhere even for a marked up value and why did Amazon sell out so hard. Like why do they even make Amazon exclusives? Why can't I ever have the chance to buy this at Walmart or target. It's basically like it still doesn't exits for me and that makes me really jfbfbdhjsjs mad.
I only have Thanos and Cull Obsidian so I might get the set for the others. I can use the old Cull Obsidian as a comic one and I guess sell the extra Thanos lol

Cull obsidians old hammer weapon is screen accurate too. He knocks war machine out of the sky with it in Wakanda just before thors arrival.

Took me about two years to complete the damn team though (finally got Corvus about the same time this set was announced), it does kind of bother me, but not enough to buy this and eventually have doubles I don't have use for.

So this is all I wanted for Christmas because I don't have a single member of the family and this was the perfect way to get them all, and I hadn't gotten my wife to pre order it until boom! It was completely sold out with Amazon saying "we don't know when or if this will ever come back in stock". Ok! But then there's no reviews, and no one is re selling them anywhere. So wtf why can't I buy this anywhere even for a marked up value and why did Amazon sell out so hard. Like why do they even make Amazon exclusives? Why can't I ever have the chance to buy this at Walmart or target. It's basically like it still doesn't exits for me and that makes me really jfbfbdhjsjs mad.

I only have Thanos and Cull Obsidian so I might get the set for the others. I can use the old Cull Obsidian as a comic one and I guess sell the extra Thanos lol
I did buy this set, but am not happy about Hasbro rushing them out the first time when they were not the definitive looks of the characters.
