Rodney, I've been playing an online game for a while now and over time found out that one of the players is related to someone who is all about hot peppers. I gave them the link to this video and now they are buying it. Good job!
I liked your video. My mother tongue is german but I could understand 98% of your video very well, which is important if one intend to play a english (american) game and ... have to explain it later for the german buddies!. :-) Thank you, that's video quality! The Scoville game story handles a fresh idea, which makes it interesting even for a veteran strategy board gamer. The game mechanic is not completely new, but has some interesting combinations of well known ones. And it seems, that some of the exceptions implys tactical details. You have made me curious, so I will be a backer at kickstarter. TMG should thank you for this. ;-)
horizontlight Due to the number of different games we hope to feature on our show, covering expansions is just not something we find ourselves able to make time for, unfortunately.
Seems like a fun game! Thanks for teaching and introducing us to another great game! :) Love the bright art and design. Are you guys going to do a play through of this one?
Where can one obtain the fabled 'Watch it Played' glass jars? Rodney seems to like using them in his instructional videos, so it may be a worthwhile purchase.
Did you mention that there are three levels of peppers and they are decipherable by height and on the other side of the pepper chart there is a player aid that explains turn order? Also, if both players bid $0 does the turn order just remain the same?
It's been long enough since I recorded this, that I don't know if I mentioned that or not. Good question on tied bids of $0. Looking at the rule book, that one isn't quite clear to me, so it might need to be addressed with the publisher.
I could really tell you are Canadian from a few of the words you said in this video. I recently discovered that Canada has the largest tabletop gaming population in the world. Thanks for this video really helps. Not it's time to go play the game!
Very interesting game concept, theme and meeples? Pepples? Peppeeples? Anyway, that video really simplified the game and entices me to back up the new Scoville Labs Expansion that's currently on Kickstarter. For those who don't have the original like me, they have put together a game+expansion bundle. Thanks again, your how to play videos are very useful both for players and manufacturers :) www.kickstarter.com/projects/michaelmindes/scoville-labs-expansion?ref=category_newest
Consistently clearly and professionally presented - thanks :)
Very nice of you to say, thanks Stewart!

Mark Wizy The magic of the internet. There's something for everyone!
Haven't played in forever, so I came here to relearn. Always a great video, Rodney!
Enjoy revisiting the game Stephanie!
I finally received this game in the mail yesterday. I came straight here to learn how to play. Another great video!
Hope you have a great time playing!
Great little game. Unfortunately, a little bit AP prone. We have some players that suffer from AP and the game suffers under those circumstances.
It's kind of fun seeing the new games that are out being as there about wine and peppers lol!
As the market grows, the ability to do varied themes becomes more viable!
I can't wait to see what they will be able to come up with next:)
You meaning Viticulture for wine? that one is AWESOME
Great video, it was very informative and succinct. Thank you for taking the time to make this.
Eric N. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind comment. Cheers!
Much more sense than what the instructions were saying.Thanks.
Very glad you found this helpful!

horizontlight So glad you found the video easy to follow - must be a challenge when English is not your second language! And yes, TMG is thankful :)
***** Will you make a video for the expansion (the lab) too?
horizontlight Due to the number of different games we hope to feature on our show, covering expansions is just not something we find ourselves able to make time for, unfortunately.
I'm so addicted to your videos!
Well then, I'd better keep making them :)
Always glad to find your videos when I am researching a game. Thanks for the tutorial!
You bet, BGCloset friends!
Well done, as usual, Rodney. Interesting game.
***** Thank you Jeff!
I do hope you are going to do a play through of this game. It looks just the right weight for my daughter and I. Thanks, Rodney!
Stasia Doster I do have another play through planned, but it's for a different game (still to be announced)
Well, rats! :)
I love this Channel
Thank you kindly Faisal!

***** This one is an instructional only, but you might recognize the art from our Belfort play through. Same great artist!
Watch It Played and Garden Dice

Ha! I'm not even sure anymore, but they have been very handy :)
you are on "fire" Rodney.. thx
You're very welcome! Have fun playing :)

Yep, I'm a Canuck!
I'd love to buy the game, new or like new. Any idea who may have a copy please?
Not sure - good luck in your search!
Another spicy video! :D
A year later, but still... well played!
Is this game still available? I can’t seem to find it
I'm not sure, it might be currently out of print.
I think there is a little mistake in the video description, it says "Jubako" instead of "Scoville". Amazing video as always!
I was updating recently, and that was a copy/paste error I might not have caught if you hadn't mentioned it - than you Pablo!

Antoine Lefebvre So glad you found the video helpful!
Did i miss something or are the coins only purpose to get more points?
Bidding on Turn order during the Auction phase, which can be very important.
***** when you bid, do those coins go back to the supply?
David Hall Yes.
David Hall yes, even if you lose the bid the $ goes to the bank.
I think the clear peppers are called Ghost peppers.. they're among the hottest things in existance
Phantom is correct, via the rulebook
I think I'll try to avoid those in real life then!
just play this and a game of ice cool and youve got a game night
Can you do a gamplay video so we can see Luke win again
Elliot White Ha! No this time around :) I'm sure he'll beat me in another game soon!
