This was awesome. Thanks for sharing! I gotta say that JB weld on the bottom bracket is gonna make it impossible to change if anything ever goes wrong, but it's a great build anyway.

If the PAS sensor goes I would cut it off and jb weld another one on top… and if the 2nd sensor went I would just decided that maybe I could live without a PAS sensor.

Great video! I have been looking at the same kit for a while.
You said you were downgrading from 1000w, why is that? I am trying to do research and seeing most people recommend 1000w over 500w.

freewheels are much weaker, the axle bends with semi heavy load

Thats what I gathered when I bought it… I don’t regret the cassette I just wish I was more informed when I bought everything instead of making a “let’s hope this works” purchase.

Did you live below a stone or in a dungeon the last 30 years? I bought foldable tires back in the 90's or is over 30 years old the "new" you mean?

It’s actually a semi-above ground dungeon… but point taken… I had a similar experience with avocado toast last week. It was new to me, but I just couldn’t understand how such a thing could work and declined it for traditional butter on toast.

@it's pretty simple instead of steel that doesn't stretch it's kevlar string that doesn't stretch. Always good to lose rotating weight. Zero downsides.

@ Now i know what you mean. If you are not very deep in something or just use it you can't think further oder deeper. I have that dungeon feeling with smartphones. I could do so many things if i would dive deep but i only take fotos and listen to music with it or look up the weather. ;-)

Chinese electric bike kits are crap anyway. I think except for motor, everything else can be made way much better for way less cheaper. After doing 2 electric bikes using the chinese kits, I gave up and took some time to make my own, no big boxes or bags, no messy wiring, just an accelerator.
