1. I as a software engineer learned so much from it.. I'm I thinking of an automated system to diaganose patient based on the information (but still an interactive system)... I always thought Doctors have no idea but today i learn that they are working based on inforamtion they have and going from symtonms to diaganosis..We, as engineers, programmers are never taught what Doctors do in diagnosis... Never have i ever seen a Doctor asking so much details from a patient.. I remembe when my phupho was on death bed, doctors denied any treatment.. 2. Second thing I have learned is how important the COMMUNICATION is (not only to others and between patient and doctor but also the communication of DOCTOR to himself), it's also about HONESTY first, being LOGICAL and SCIENTIFIC and third even after all that having COURAGE Thank you!

Much better presentation of the case. Thanks for addressing my previous concerns regarding short case presentation. It is important that students understand that history is subjective and should be completed regardless of irrelevance. It is very important to not obsess with the most obvious diagnosis which could be very misleading. I would recommend going into the degree of the symptoms for example when speaking of pain we need to consider the about characteristics of pain, duration, intensity. Each symptom needs to be characterized. Thanks

In differential diagnosis why not we are thinking about direct inguinal hernia in this patient as it is common in old age patients and males and main thing it is also painless
Is it compulsory to talk about melena..i mean if we are suspecting lump in right ileac fossa,i guess melena has nothing to do with it as melena is basically 60 ml blood in git which has been there for 6-8 hrs and has been acted upon by enzymes of gut resulting in breakdown of hb which presents as black tarry stool n melena is rltd to upper gi pathology most commonly pud followed by erosive gastritis followed by portal htn followed by mallory weis tear..so i.o.c for melena will be upperGI endoscopy...i m a 4th yr med student from kashmir n i love ua videos😄

I sincerely hope that the patient identifiers are made up because otherwise it’s a major violation of patient privacy. It’s not enough to simply ask a patient if it’s okay to use their real name because patients in Pakistan don’t know their rights. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the physician to ensure the patient’s privacy. Basic ethics and rules of practicing medicine.
