Newborn two piece outfits: The pants with footies so you don’t have to worry about socks, and the basic Gerber baby shirts that have snaps and fold over hand mittens so you don’t have to pull anything over a newborn’s head. Built-in socks and mittens (for newborn stage) because they have very little fat, at first, to hold a sock or mitten. The two piece gives the umbilical cord room to breathe until it falls off(eliminates rubbing the cord). Wipe warmer with a light so you can open it one-handed and not have to turn on overhead lights to change the baby( the light shines in their eyes), especially when they are almost asleep and you just fed them. The crinkling sound of the wipes can be startling along with the coldness of the wipes. A wipe warmer eliminates this. I love the Moses basket and bassinet those will be perfect until the baby can roll(especially with a c-section). I didn’t see a Boppy or on my breast friend or a body pillow that you can wrap around it’s like an S shape. Those are important to keep the baby up after a C-section as you’re nursing, and will help so your arms(won’t be) tired. Regular feather a cotton pillows can be too slippery, and you don’t want to keep readjusting when you need to hold the newborn straight on when you feed her at first. As your milk comes in and let’s down it’ll be easier, though at first the baby needs to sit up pretty high and the C-section will be pretty sensitive. A stiff nursing pillow also helps if you are side feeding (to prop right behind the baby) so your arm doesn’t go to sleep, and you can prop your head up(with your arm). Congratulations! It is so exciting, to welcome a precious baby to your family.
Love how your dad made the bassinet stand. Those are the best gifts! ❤️ I have 3 kids! Being a parent is the absolute most beautiful part of my life. 🙏🏼
I would recommend if you do end up doing formula, to introduce the baby to room temp. Water for the formula...so much easier this way, plus warm water tends to break down the plastic in the bottles and they end up consuming it.....there's recent articles on this.
I would recommend getting the grass drying racks for bottles, having at least 2 bottle warmers for different areas of the house and 2 changing diaper areas.
@@Ellebangs we have a drying rack from OXO (also comes with really good bottle brush) and it’s not as ugly as the grass, just white and gray and gets the job done!
Beautiful stroller, I had it with our daughter and now that I’m preggo again we bought the same again. I would suggest a nursing pillow, a very big one, especially after a c-section it’s very comfortable just to let the baby rest on the pillow while breastfeeding and it also helps when you sleep to support your body.
I'd say you have pretty much everything..id only suggest a swing and a Moby wrap or some kind of a front carrier. Swings are large and ugly..but when that baby is screaming and you can't get anything done..the swing is your best friend. Same with the carrier. Oh and as some other moms mentioned..get an electric breast pump..you'll want and need that.
Many moons ago i had the exact same black Bugaboo stroller and it was the best baby purchase i ever made. Loved it for 4 years and then sold it like a chanel bag for almost its purchasing price. 10/10
Maybe a baby wrap carrier, it is so helpful in the beginning and when they really want to be on you all day ❤ and if breastfeeding works definitely a spectra pump so you can have a good freezer stash! Congratulations 🥰
Diaper Changing pad on a dresser or a changing table. They are a life saver. It is extremely nice to have all your diaper needs in one location since it is a large part of your day. Having a diaper changing location helps others when they are helping you with the baby. It is also a nice place to put on lotions and dress your baby after a bath. Think about a baby nest pillow as well. This is great to have on the couch with you so the baby can sleep, you can interact with your baby, safer than laying them on the couch etc. Congratulations and most of all enjoy all the moments with your new baby girl.
Looks good! Gave my son and his girlfriend a DockAtot for my granddaughter-it was amazing. They put it in their kingsized bed and my granddaughter slept between them. A couple of things that were must-haves...Boppy nursing pillow. We all used it just to hold Aliyah or give her a bottle-your arms can get so tired supporting a new baby. Also, a wubbanub pacifier, they're invaluable for holding a pacifier in a newborn mouth. And last the book or dvd, Happiest Baby on the Block. It outlines the 'fourth' trimester when baby is adjusting to being on the outside of the womb, lol! The first three months can be tough, and this book helped so much! Best wishes to you and your little one!
You mentioned you had swaddles but I’d look into the kyte swaddler! It transforms into a sleep sack, and when baby is a couple months old the sleep sacks are amazing too!
During both my pregnancies I used Consumer Reports to research EVERYTHING! While I obviously care about what things look like, the most important thing is safety and they throughly test items. It's shocking which carseats do horrible in the crash tests! Eek! But my #1 piece of advice is stock up onesies and the little matching cotton pants. It doesn't matter how many little fancy, cute outfits you have, you'll ALWAYS have your baby in onesies and cotton pants because they are the comfiest for them and easy to change as well as wash. Babies go thru 5 changes of clothes a day, easy! I think our due dates are close, I'm due with my 2nd on November 28th.
Hey Hun sending you lots of love from England, I just wanted to mention that you will need a few personal items for yourself after the birth that I personally didn't think about before my son was born ,breast pads so you don't end up with breast milk leaking on your clothes and bed at night (happened to me lol )and thick sanitary towels to take to hospital ,also baby wipes are going to be your best friend for the next few years x
Stokke has a newborn seat for there highchairs and also cushions for there seats. We had all of it for all 4 of our children and our youngest (7) still uses her Stokke highchair. It's awesome, even I can sit in it 😊
Everything is beautiful! Love how you organize and prepare. Congrats! lucky baby to have such a lovely home and a great mommy and daddy and puppy (olive) 🐶
So excited for you and Adam, Olive too!! It’s going so fast Thanks for the update and sharing! Love all the things baby girl has so far. You have beautiful taste😊
You're doing great! The only things I would say to definitely go ahead and get before your sweet baby arrives would be a Boppy (or any good nursing pillow) - you, dad and baby will use it waaaay more than you realize. Also a good baby wrap carrier sling - I suggest a simple one made of lightweight fabric, rather than the elaborate ones with buckles and straps. Just a simple breathable one that is basically like a blanket that cocoons baby to you & allows you to still have both arms free when needed. Items that I suggest IF you see you need them would be a good bouncy seat with vibration and a baby swing.
Great video! My two cents of advice would be that the haaca (sp?) is more for after your milk has fully come in and as the baby drinks/ you have a let down (when the milk just come out, the baby just has to swallow) it happens to both breasts at the same time, so you would otherwise loose all that milk from the breast that the baby is not on every time. Having at least a simple inexpensive breast pump at first (can usually rent from the hospital) can be a lifesaver because if baby needs some time to get used to the breast or doesn't immediately latch perfectly and you do substitute formula as she adjusts (we all do it) you need to be pumping all the while to keep your breasts stimulated and making milk. Sending you and baby good wishes!
Great tip, Mary! I was about to write the same thing! When your baby is feeding from one side (or you're pumping on one side) Your other breast will be flowing with milk too, and it's a shame to lose all that valuable breastmilk. I used the Haakaa on my other breast to catch all the milk and then just stored it for the next bottle feeding.
what you have show your good! Your ready for your baby girl! You got good love one round you! its good your not in a rush and you got the most important thing you need! Am due in December 4th with a girl this is my 3 kids and i just have some clothes and i saved a lot of my youngest son and i did feel rush with him. i feel the same way am not in a rush too. its a crazy feeling!
Everything is beautiful and love the aesthetic and color choices, if I could give you advice on specific items it would be: the cotton onesies with the snaps for day and night and the vaporizer👌🏻😊
With my first daughter (I waited to know gender on both ) as it is the MOST exciting thing ever!!!!!. With my second daughter someone had bought me a heated wet wipe warmer which to be honest I thought I would never ever use...... WELL!!!!!!!!!! it was the best thing ever, I still have it and LOVED it and use it and she is 18 years old lol lol lol lol lol.
You definitely need the Fridababy Nose Frida for when you need to suction the baby's nose. It's the best one I've ever used... It's better than the bulbs and so much better than the battery operated ones. You have much more control.. Just make sure you use the spray saline in each nostril. You can find them at Walmart or Target. ❤️
I just had my baby girl 2 months ago. I have to say the haaka did not work for me and if you have insurance get a breast pump especially when your milk comes in it's so helpful. They have cheaper ones with decent reviews online but be prepared to give yourself some relief! It can be rough and help with many nursing issues. Also your comfy chair in the baby's room looks great but get yourself a foot rest 🙂 good luck with everything! Wishing you the best 💖
Get some more baby gowns . Life saver especially when you are so tired and they are kicking their little feet in the middle of the night. The snap pjs were awful I would give up and they would be snapped however I got it done🤣 and maybe get some samples or just some small packs of multiple different brands of diapers incase of allergic reactions . Good luck and speedy recovery after your C-section you will be a great mom!!
Loving all the baby things! I don’t have anything else to suggest, except maybe a boppy pillow for nursing. And if you haven’t got them yet, a few things for yourself for after birth, like maxi pads, a peri bottle, and nursing bras.
A vibrating bouncy seat with hanging toys, An exercise saucer that swivels and bounces with the more toys the better, an automatic swinging chair with music, a musical mobile above the crib, a car safety seat that unsnaps and as just a carrier and a car seat that anchors into car with the latch system instead of using seatbelts, they snap together in seconds which is an added safety feature if you're doing the latching in by yourself when another adult is not present for your security. Us moms especially have to be super aware of the vulnerability while loading and unloading children alone and the faster you can do it, the faster you can get inside and lock the doors. Also, Olive needs to have a baby doll that makes noises so she gets used to sharing her home with this tiny human 😊💕
Don't forget about postpartum care for yourself. Frida Mom has an excellent kit, but you are going to want a peri bottle, make some padsickles, load up on the hospital mesh underwear, look into a sitz bath (Earth Mama makes a great sitz bath pack), and don't forget the nipple cream. I would also recommend taking some comforting clothes with you to the hospital. Your favorite warm socks, (it can get really cold) a comfortable, soft robe, slippers, lip balm, can make all the difference. Such an exciting journey! Congratulations, it's going to be great!

First of all, congratulations on your baby girl! I know everyone tells you that your life is about to change…but oh is it. But in the most beautiful, messiest way. I have exclusively breastfed my baby for going on 8 months and nip cream, breast pads, and cooling gel pads saved me. We love the como tomo bottles. Two way zipper jammies. One suggestion that i have that,to me, is the most important one of all... this is for after the first and second month, after the baby feeds every 2 hours. If by the 3rd month your baby wakes up hollering it is because it is hungry. Alot of times breast milk is just not enough and you will need formula. My sister in law was so adamant about only breastfeeding that my poor nephew would literally get hoarse from screaming at night, until finally she caved in and came to get some formula at 3 in the morning. What I'm saying is that babies are easy .of they are well fed,dry and not in some kind of pain, they will sleep through the night by the 3rd month. Both of mine did. Remember, no matter what they tell you ,especially in catholic hospitals, formula is your best friend. If you can't breast feed, formula is just as good. It is bullshit that breast milk will make your baby healthier than formula. Follow your instincs. Feed your baby as many times as it needs and you won't get to the point where the baby is 5 months old and still doesn't sleep through the night. I've seen it all with my nephew.SMH. Remember that babies are easy, just wait till they're teens, now THAT shit is hard lol.

Don’t wash everything! They grow out of the clothes before you wear it all keep some tags on so you can return or exchange for bigger sizes!

Hello. 🌹

If I were a new Mom, I would think long about the toxins they inject in to babies these days. If I were a new Mom I would refuse it.
