This is great. It really is true, but it also has to be genuine and the sweetness has to come from the hard, not trying to be sweet just to be sweet or to get into someone's good graces or to make something happen.

I completely agree with everything he said, especially about having self pride. He describes it properly, more so than most others that I've heard speak of it. There's a difference between having self pride and being narcissistic. Narcissism is a form of ego. Self pride is that same ego transformed into positive energy.

Hi, By nature l am quiet, very lady like: polite & enjoying my transformation. But my sweetness many take as a weakness, an arena to be abused, laughed at, viewed as stupid a sucker, fake or a joke. Narcissus's , phycopaths, sociopaths extra treat sweetness as their pond. I have found sweetness can find yourself in danger around mentally worpt ppl. This happened to me. It's like my sweetness is a magnet to these types of personalities & believe me many ppl don't even think their sick. Thinking sick is excepted as the new norm. Your either an abuser or a victim. Ppl these days have a motive, agenda for gain, greed or power when it comes to existing as a being. Few value integrity. Many are fake & wear masks. Thier actions don't match their words. Anyway my sweatness is not for all l encounter. I have learned to listen lots & talk little. I am polite. I keep my distance & test their words & actions. Red flags & l gradually distance myself. Then l politely walk out of their life. l do this with class. For those who respect sweetness, l tend to have them as life long friends.

Make your weakness a strength against them! How many times did I go back to humble and egoless people (sometimes even after many years) just to say "thank you for the wonderful life lessons you taught me with your sweetness" and "sorry for misunderstanding you I was blinded".
You are a candle in the middle of darkness the sweeter you are the more candles you will light. Keep turning darkness into light my dear 💜

I think this will be a better translation than "self-pride"

No brother, i do face same situation ... But I can understand my ego is still inside...
We can't shed our ego all at once it will take time ...
When you shed off all your ego ... There is no hurt even if some one treats you so bad. ..
Practice the acceptance, even when they hurt you by words or actions , u don't give it back to them ... Forgive , bless and pray for them ...
      Never ever criticize on anyone
It's really hard but it's achievable

Sounds contradictory - having sweet words to dissolve ego. But thinking you are too good, too sweet can lead to a false sense of injustice against yourself, and depression. Being too sweet can also allow others to cause you harm.

first step to spiritual enlightenment is sincerity. In every action, in every word.
That is why TEACHING anyone through language and words become highly confusing because everyone has their own interpretation and understanding of the words. Especially when communication is one-way.
There are different ways to achieve enlightenment, knowledge, or self-realization- whatever you might want to call it.
That is why every spiritual teacher is consistent with the practice of meditation and self-evaluation.
Do whatever you feel like but at the end of the day, evaluate yourself from within. Understand your motivations and effects of your actions, words and presence on others and events.
SWEETNESS WITH SELF RESPECT............SINCERELY, without EGO
That is why sincerity in every action is the shortest way to enlightenment because its a process of trial and error.
Not everything we KNOW is REALIZED,
it can only be realized through experience thus one should experience the world and find themselves in every other individual and a bit of them in ourselves.
hahaha did I mention that its TEACHING is futile?!
things only come to those who have ventured on this path and actually travelling the road. One can sit atop a hill from a good vantage point and speculate and question but the answer lies in walking that road.
Forgive me if I am not making much sense hahaha :)

He is equivocating ego with pride. In a more technical sense, ego can exist with or without pride. It is simply ones sense of separation from ones environment.

See the ego at work. You've chosen to try and place your view upon others. That can be a dangerous thing as history has shown this. You may not wish to expand your conscious and become more aware but others do.
