Thank you so much for this tuition - I’ve just built two nails! My technician is off to uni so I’m a complete novice at this skill but, with help I’m hoping to do my own in future. Thank you.
Thank you so much for doing this video!! I had just bought this builder gel along with the base/top coat and some forms (one of my nails just broke) But watching this is definitely helpful!! Ty again
Thanks for the patient (and calming) tutorial: just places my order because the past two years have taught me that an overlay is the way to go. High hopes that this system will become my go-to for a base that helps me keep my natural nails. One question: Is the gel top coat recommended over the builder of the plan is to use natural nail base and polish over it? Thanks so much for your help (and I can’t wait to get started 🤗).
Hi Beverly! Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks so much for your order. You should be able to go straight into polish after applying builder gel without the top coat :)
Thank you for a very well explained tutorial. I’m recovering from chemo, the downside of the chemo is it comes out on the nails! Nails are completely black, and very weak & fragile. I’ve always used gel polish, but needed something to harden the nails due to the chemo. This has helped me immensely (tried to use the dual forms, too much “nail” if you know what I mean!). Very much appreciated 💕💕
I just built my first nail!! 💅🏼 I watched the entire video first, wrote down each step (for future reference without the video), and then played a third time- creating my nail as you did yours. OMG- I actually did it! I've tried it all- full acrylic, tips with acrylic, dip, polygel with dual forms (what's up with THAT mess?!), press-ons...and I've just ended up with horrible looking, thin, nearly non-existent nails that actually HURT when I don't have some sort of fake nail to protect them. I read BG is the least damaging nail modification- what are your thoughts on this? Thank you so much for such a wonderful video! Very beginner-friendly and easy to follow. Can't wait to check out more of your channel! 😁✌🏼
I am so happy to hear this video was helpful! I find builder to be less damaging mainly because I do not have to remove it every time I do my nails. I just clip any lifting and fill in the regrowth. With any nail enhancement, proper removal process is key in not damaging the nail. Thank you so much! Have fun on your nail journey!!
Thank you for doing this video it nice that someone did a step by step talking us threw the step, for me it helps so thank you very much. I sure do plan on checking out this product very soon. How many mani using builder gel in a bottle do you typically get out of 1 bottle?
I'm so glad it was helpful! The number of manis you get out of 1 bottle can vary depending how long and/or how thick you like to make your nails, but I'd say on average like ~20ish.
From the point where you've finished buffing and shaping: if you continue on with dip using gel, should you do a base coat layer and cure, follwed by base coat and dip powder, as you would if you were dipping on your natural nail?
You should not have to use a base gel over the buffed and cleaned BG to do gel method with dip. The BG acts as your ‘base coat’ here. And gel sticks to gel no problem.
Hi! I carry these files in store. They have a different color/shape now (pink/diamond), but still the same with the hard file on one side rand a sponge buffer on the other. Here’s the link to them :) dipaliciousnails.com/products/dual-sided-nail-file-soft-buffer-medium-grit-180-100
great video like the step by step tried using nail tips with glue than use dip powders in a week the tips chip off very frustrating I will check out this product.
Try dipping with gel.. paint gel on , dip cure, repeat. Make sure you are buffing the shine off of the tips you apply.. if you don’t the acrylic has nothing to actually stick to
Iv watched soooo many of these videos, and they are all basically the some. And they all look fantastic Except for mine. I always have a big hump right where my natural natural meet the gel extension. What am i going wrong?
I would suggest filing the edge of the tip some along the seam near the natural nail. Try not to file your natural nail here. Then apply a strip of BG on the natural nail, along the seam between the natural nail and your tip and cure. This will help level that space before trying to do full layers of BG to finish the nail. Let me know if that helps!
If yours says UV/LED….then I would go with the LED time. The ‘UV’ time is for the older lamps that use the long uv bulbs (rarely in use anymore). Just keep in mind that lamps do vary. Some are weaker than others from age or use so you may have to add to the time. Up to 60 seconds on regular power. Also always follow the instructions on the particular gel you use. Those can vary between brands too.
Hi! Unfortunately this particular builder gel is not for gelX style nails, but I do have a 3in1 Base Glue Gel that is PERFECT for that. dipaliciousnails.com/products/3in1-base-gel-glue
Her video is amazing, ive learnt so much from it. Ive watched it several times , its so helpful, she answers questions you didnt know you had. Her voice is lovely, However , i find it a little bit irritating when she says 'edge' . I cant explain why it just gets to me.
Thank you, excellent tutorial. 👍🏻
This is the best, most detailed video I’ve seen on how to do these. Thank you!!!!
I’m so happy it was helpful for you!
I really like that shade of builder gel. It is much easier to see on the nail form
Thanks! It's really pretty on. So clean.
I was thinking the same thing now wishing I would have got that light pink instead of the clear

Love that blue/orange file...any idea where it came from?

You say 30sec for LED and 60sec for UV I have a lamp that says UV LED so do I do for the times for the UV to be safe?
Omg same

Hey! Would this form of application work with a builder gel that is a wipe formula by any chance?
Can you clarify what you mean by a wipe formula BG? I think as long as it’s a builder gel….it should work with the forms.
Does this builder work with like gel x style of application?

Is it just me, or does she sound like Khloe Kardashian? ☺️
I thought the same thing in some parts lol especially when she said “don’t worry if the edges are all crazy”… sounded just like her there! 😂
I was about to comment this
