The previev tip is so real.
Someone activated a core stone while the morkite refinery was going (endless swarm that does not stop even when the pump sequence is finished).
Ended up with only me left standing and all iron wills expended.
I had to run around so damn much to finally be able to revive people and kill the core stone and even with it gone we were still in a bad situation.
Much, much more running and fighting later we finally finished the pump sequence and called evac, even managed to put the core stone in the extraction pod and finish the mission.
Man I wish I had recorded that because I was sweating like mad for what felt like 10 min straight (at least).
Please don’t kill Scout, I just like flying around and being borderline useless, comeon

I played a deep scan mission yesterday. Put platforms on some nitra and the scout went to mine it, I went to mine something else.
Suddenly, scout goes down. I have no clue why. No enemies and no hazards anywhere.
Then I realize, he got crushed by the drillevator as it spawned in, since someone finished the last resonance crystal right as scout went to mine the nitra.
How unlucky do you have to be for the drillevator to spawn right above you when you're on such a huge map as a deepscan mission?
You probably noticed given the amount of time that passed while Anna was afk, but swarms completely stop spawning once you’ve scanned all the crystals & the drillevator arrives. If you tunnelvision on finding them, you can usually get it done before you even need to resupply & mine/do secondaries at your leisure afterwards. Particularly useful for when there’s core stones, machine events, korlok tyrantweeds, etc. and you don’t want bugs interrupting

little tip for future core stone events. If gunner puts ziplines high up away from any surfaces core spawn crawlers can't kill you.

also very useful on modifiers like swarmageddon where its just a shit ton of grunts and swarmers with very little ranged enemies. ranged enemies actually target people on ziplines specifically to make them fall
My best tip is to be aware that gravity can be very dangerous...
That's too literal. A tip would be cliffs are very safe and meant to be jumped off of.
don't tell anna... as soon as she learns that gravity is dangerous she may become too powerful

yeah best to start the mission drop countdown in the rig and down a blackout stout. you'll be on your best performance after that
Most important tip: Mine the glowing pustules when your whole team is near them, they are very valuable

Did you know if you drink a black out stout right b4 a mission starts you will be so drunk and blind it will be unplayable i found out the hard way. :)

During deep scans, if you scan all geodes, you will stop swarms from coming
Use this time to do season/machine events and to seek the lost gear if they spawned
One really important tip for core stone fight, just burst through it. They will not stop spawning and things will just get worst, its best to just do it as fast as humanly possible

anna forgot that being a glyphid doesn't make the spitters not target you.
but to be fair, it's possible to win that situation
strafe around both spitballer and vartok, vartok projectiles are pretty slow, and spitballer's is dodgable if you jump right before it attacks, the balll will pass your head
and scout has the cryo bolts/grenades to freeze and stop and kill the spitballer as quick as possible, and then slowly focus on vartok's bulbs (a cover from the main plant would be preferable)
1:37 While what we got was still great and funny, I was really hoping for the core stone to just glitch out and just not go through the bossfight because that can happen right now as its bugged and will occasionally do that. Idk why it does that but it pretty neat and funny. I had a team who was too scared to do core stone just today and I called them elves, proceeded to mine it out, and then nothing happened and told them "See, we had this perfectly all worked out and fine." Honestly, was the funniest thing that has happened to me in season 5 so far.

That happened to me with my very first Corestone. Found it a touch underwhelming.
Then, of course, the next one blew me away! GSG really cooked with these events.
@@nameisnttaylor, it's not a bug, it's a failsafe, because game couldn't process the locations of the rifts, so it automatically completed the event, the meteorites have similiar failsafe, if it can't spawn the rock crackers.
Now this content gives me the emotional stability i need to keep clapping those bugs on Hoxxes IV
Saying "Watch this" and then falling off a cliff is such a scout thing to do.
Tip 1 "Don't call enemy names keep your teammates guessing" like 30 seconds right after "Oh i heard a cave leech" briliant.
1:36 i know from experience how brutal those are when you aren't prepared, one of the first times i got one it was activated by a bulk det explosion
I don't run Iron Will and it's very fun to see the mindset of people who do. (The perks I use vary between builds but I almost always make room for Unstoppable, because ignoring slow effects is awesome and there are a lot of heavy objects even discounting stated mission goals that are worth being able to fasthaul.)
i didn't used to use it, honestly, but then i started HAVING to use it

You should also spam calling mule to make him more motivated and faster
do triple dips on ressuply pod to be sure that youre on 100% ammo&health
dont forget to set your brightness to lowest possible setting and never use flares, bright light bad for your eyes
Sometimes there is bug when grunts take only 2% damage and can be pettable, you have to focus fire it untill nearby dwarf says the steeve is dead
You shouldnt destroy chargesuckers on bet-c, as she will still do damage to bugs!
Always leave 1 ressuply pod rack unused even if you dont have any ammo. Carl will really appreciate this
When foghting dreadnaughts, pop all the coocoons and once! Your team will thanks you as now their splash weapons are more effective!
And lastly, rock and stone at least every 5 seconds no matter the situation and never give up!

I bring you all a parcel of knowledge I discovered on day 1.
You can call a resup underneath the drillevator and it will fall with it as it mines, then when it hits the bottom it will do a big jump higher than the standing platform will be.
This will kill whoever it hits.

This mission is just the fricking best. I just find it hard (on H5 at least) because swarms spawn as often as on mining or point extraction
Tip: Use the shard diffractor to draw things on the cave wall
darn straight!
bonus tip: teamkilling is essential, make sure the other 3 dwarves don't reach the drop pod and cash in on their life insurance

Tip ???: Tell your team mates to ping each other and tap control so you can mole them through a wall.

Tip #6 : saying "Watch this" ALWAYS ends well and is never just tempting fate, you should do it all the time! Your teammates will think you're REALLY cool!
Oh and tip #0 : coordinating is for losers. Who cares what your team is doing? Just start events, pull eggs and press buttons the moment you spot them, you REALLY gotta get that speedrun time down. If your team's not ready, skill issue tbh. Make sure you remind them of that fact if you *somehow* fail too (inconceivable), it'll really help motivate them to be better next time!

I don't usually play scout but I was playing him the other day cause I'm trying to fast track him to legendary 3. The driller thought he'd be the funny man, freeze me and blow me up with c4. Of course he did. What he didn't account for: I'm so fast at hitting a and d that I got out of it faster than he could place the c4, zipped away, and shot him dead with my m1000. Then they rezzed him...and I killed him again XD I asked him over the mic, was it funny funny man? And he said "kinda lol"

Hey Taylor, not sure if you knew or not, but if you HOLD the reload key on Engineer, you will call your turret bad to your carried inventory and will instantly reload it.
I'd highly recommend doing that more often.
