What a champ! In just 75 seconds MvdP moves up from 3rd row (around 15th place) to the very front, and 15 seconds later he has a winning gap on the entire field. Respect!
Next year they let him ride his own categorie on his own, A and A+ league. Commentator arguing that Van Aert and Pidcock can keep up, that is a lie, when Van Aert focussus on CX maybe, but Pidcock is no where nere MVDP.
More or less, alpecin is his Team. In this team he is free to do what ever he wants. At ineos, Jumbo, uae and so on, he would not be free to do what ever he wants.
the race was won in the first 90 seconds of the first lap, it's a shame there wasn't moore footage of that. Then when the race for second was won, it's a shame there wasn't more footage of that. (I know cameras are limited.) Boring race leads to boring coverage. Is CX now like road with a few riders who totally dominate?
Would love to see Dylan Johnson and his alien gravel machine competing here. Why is it if I’m to ride gravel I need 11-50 cassette and 50mm tubeless garden hoses to compete?
@@S0ulinth3machin3agree. The power needed to push through some of those sloppy sections is something Dylan couldn’t maintain …and don’t get me wrong I’m rooting for the kid
It's not a knock in Dylan Johnson. I think 'cross ability transfers over to gravel somewhat but not the other way around. Cross riders would just have to train their endurance while gravel riders would have to learn cross specific skills and work on anaerobic intervals. But while I think Dylan Johnson would suck at the highest level of cross, his podcasts kick ass on all the other riders' podcasts.

The greatest ever at cyclocross.
How on earth can he not compete for most the season and just dust the pro field on lap one using skills.
That guy has a big future ahead of him!
Future?? he wins already 10
years in a row
that is funny. He has won 400 cyclocross races already.
Do you mean once he's got the hang of riding in mud?
@@RobinCauwels-c8f he´s obviously not serious sherlocks
unreal this guy. what Pogi did last year MVDP does every single year in CX
LFG! MVDP is going to win every CX race he starts 🏆
meatrider
@subjectillustrator if celebrating a world champion destroying the rest of the field is "meatriding" I say "Yee Haw"

He's back, the BOSS of CROSS!
mdvp one of the best of this generation!! 👏🏼
that is understated.
He's one of the GOAT is more accurate.

Yeah. Mvdp is in a league of his own. Wout always looks like he's struggling while this dude is just having fun on the bike during cross.
Would be nice to see the general classification, too...
If you watched the race live, you mostly watch the race for the top 10, much like F1. The occasionally switch to the leader.
@@Liofa73 Not the race's, the World Cup classification.
MvdP was 18th after this race, he didn't compete in the first 4 races. Added 40 points in Mol, so now up to 8th or thereabouts.
humble champ
THE KING
What a talent. World tour teams should look at this guy and give him a contract.

i love MVDP. welcome back king

Great champion
There's MVDP, and then there's everybody else.
I know two Mvdps, the one with back problems and that is sometimes beatable and the second one with no health issues, the unbeatable one.
Different league entirely. MVDP is one of the GOAT!
absolute animal🎉
2' min on rest of field in 1 hr race wow
He said he kept it at Z2 effort because he has heavy training blocks later in the week. Not really necessary to say.
The mvdp 1st decent is already decided
Congratulations 🎉 MVDP
MVDP está em outro nível.

overwhelming
Not normal,in a few years whe know more......
No need to be bitter, nothing but skill covers that descending skill.
How can you call this a highlights video when half the video isn’t even of the race?? Another poor below average video…
Boring🥱🥱🥱 race: no rivalry, no head-to-head, not even twists and turns. From start to finish, always the same. Boring, in fact. Wout, where are you?
