He doesn’t ‘work at a candy store.’
He owns and operates it. He’s an entrepreneur.
Exactly. Misleading title.
not sure if inherited a store counts as an entrepreneur
Even you inherited a fortune, without entrepreneur skill, it's just bankruptcy waiting for happen.
Happy Day If you are operating something, you are working at somethin.
I mean he still technically works at a candy store.
Next: Walmart employee leaves the cash registers to be an investment banker
He went from Morgan Stanley to becoming Willy Wonka
What’s wrong with that

What a legend
xenon destiny I know
Spot on Avery!
dentists around the store must be lucky...they have steady flow of customers
Endocrinologist must be laughing their way to the bank
Cardiologists must be getting lost in their beachside mansions.
The true winners are the food scientists who shape the tastes of society
Childhood obesity must be... oh wait. That's not really a joke.
If he was a VP at morgan stanley or in general an accountant for 7 years there he must have a least a couple million saved up or even more with investments so he probably decided he had enough money and made the switch
Yeah this guy had life figure out
Exactly working 80 hours a week nets big
He's smart work save money then do something you love for money to get by on without dipping all your savings

It was his family business that he inherited

Was laughing when i saw that
Mr beast be like “buying a whole candy store”
That's exactly what I thought😂😂
I agree with you
Mr beast would rent a dumpster truck full of pennies.
1:30 that kid in the back staring at them lmao
bruh why are kids like this lmfaoooooo
Nate Dogg the kid look like he was about to steal lol
Lmaooooo
It's like he thought they couldn't see him clearly on the phone screen.
*100 hour work weeks!?* Work/life balance of an investment banker is nonexistent.
Ikr. That’s fricking insane. Like seriously how does someone working that much find time to sleep properly, much less maintain a marriage or adequately groom themselves, eat etc?? I hope he at least made enough to not have to work for the rest of his life working that much for that long.
@@twdjt6245 most investment bankers I've talked to work so hard on the weekday that they get sh*tfaced on the weekend to cope. Then continue doing the same thing the next week. It's gruesome with high churning, surprised he lasted 7 years
Sean Lei - Money & Minimalism guess money is that important to some people. I would never do it.
a lot of the 100 hours is bs hours - reading newspapers, checking email. you're hardly grinding for a full 100 hours as you would if say, you were working in a chinese factory or something.
The investment banker can outsource his work to a guy in India and work 2 hrs a day
Lmaooo I read “banker left fiancé”

To be honest you'll make more money and be happier doing something you love plus is passionate about, at least that's how I look at it.
Aesthetic Cat true. I'd rathe the making 40k at a job I like than 50k at a job I hate
@@kjm8794 usually a freshman in a investment bank makes 75k to 105k, and the VP from 350K to 1.5 M. So he probably made more money there, must he must have saved a few millions from seven years there
But he was smart enough to guarantee the huge income he had, to then safely do what he wanted. Many don't and they end up nowhere in life. He probably has millions saved and being in finance, knows how to invest. I wouldn't be surprised, if he does this to be happy and keep himself occupied. He undoubtedly has more than enough to retire.
Yup.
Steve Jobs said "You gotta find something you love. For your life."
" Work will fill most of your life time. "

Best job in the world, everybody leaves a candy store happy! 😊

*Now this is a job for me*
This guy does so many things right from a business sense it makes my head spin. It's like the opposite feeling of when you hear about a business doing something blatantly stupid. Good luck to them!
0:32 imagine how big the gum would be...😮😂
Real reason he switched was tax
He probably has millions in investments so the taxes he must pay in passive income must be ridiculous in our standards.
I saw this video 3 months ago and wanted to go to economy candy, today I finally went and it was awesome!
He’s living the dream like a Boss. Someone doing what we all really want to do.
Wharton into investment banking at morgan stanley is very impressive. 7 years up to VP means he probably has $2-3 million in the bank. Understandable why his wife wanted him to quit, you can’t raise a family if you’re working at a large investment bank.
I thought the title said "Banker Left Fiancé to Work in a Candy Store" 😂
@Business Insider
Keep doing stories like this, I just bought $400.00 worth of candy from his store for my Halloween Party. Continue down this road so I can support more small businesses!

No amount of money is worth 100 hours a week!!! Enjoy life and do what makes you happy 😃 you only have one life
He said he enjoyed working though
Lol. Just work for 10 years and save enough money and invest, then find a new job or simply retire.

This really good PR with relatively good timing - Halloween is very close
