  • Should you own a revolver? In modern-day firearms, there are plenty of reasons to own a revolver. Darryl Bolke of Hardwired Tactical Shooting explains real-world gun fighting and why revolvers deserve serious consideration. Tom and Darryl chat about the Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Round-Up event at Gunsite Academy.

    Another great video
    Practical and applicable
……… every time I listen to your videos on revolvers- it reinsures the fact that I carry my Snubby 75% of my EDC time
……… I have been considering trading in two - probably three of my semiautomatics to get a quality revolver- RUGER SP101 357 3 inch barrel $799
    the cost is amazingly high
    But it is a debate - I have a
    Taurus 605 poly 347 Snubby
    A pleasant dilemma

Have pocket carried many guns for decades. Sometimes as primary and some as a backup. P365 is current choice in kydex. PM9 in Galco Pocket Protecter before that and S&W 442 in winter coat pockets (no holster needed with heavy DA only and can shoot through pocket if needed).

Well, I was at the range again today with my revolver and I shot 300 hundred rounds through it with no issues. 38 Special, 38+p, and 357 magnum loads that I really enjoy the most! and I have had my SW model 60-14 for a while now and have never had any problems with it. So, what revolver are you using that you can only put three or four loads through it? also the ammo nowadays is very much cleaner than what it was years ago.

cleaning at the range all day shooting you can dry clean your snub with a white dish towel and tooth brush, scrub with tooth brush and rub out tooth brush in dish towel, the reason for white is it shows you when brush is clean to use once again cleaning, this is a perfect range dry cleaning and then when home full clean and lube, you can do my method on semi autos to like your 22 pistols you want to dry clean on the range to, every 50 rounds maybe

Yes. If you hit your targets then capacity is not as important and you are not going to get through a mag or cylinder let alone have time to reload in a five second gunfight. That is for the average person. The above average person living in gangland or high crime areas are going to need more or extra ammo because the threat level is greater. Yes there is that less than one percent chance of multiple threats and a longer gunfight and that is why we carry extra ammo to reload and don't stake our lives on averages. I shoot autoloaders well but shoot revolvers better and they are more reliable than autoloaders so that is why I prefer them over autoloaders. Concealing a revolver is harder with that cylinder bulge. If I can hide a small J frame revolver on my body then I will carry one but most of the time a micro 9 autoloader is going to conceal better. A small J frame revolver conceals about as well as a sub compact autoloader so neither of them conceal as well as a micro compact.

22 magnum price in ammo i can run and gun and get constant practice, i still practice reloading old school to with no speed strips and speed loaders loading a single or two rounds carring loose ammo up to 100 rounds comfortably in especially in 22 mag, on my main youtube channel i have tips on how to carry a snub and get the fastest draws even concealed carry by using 1 o clock carry wich is faster then apendix due to the fact your natural swinging hand being closer and less travel thus a faster draw and not just that but a snub being short barrel means faster out of holster, and add short clothing cover to where less clothing travel means faster draws to
