I love how you are including Eleanor in all of the chores. What she knows about chickens is amazing, especially at such a young age. I love the banners in the big New Coop.
Thank you! Eleanor loves learning and sharing everything she knows (and a good bit of stuff she makes up lol). So glad you chose to hang out with us on the farm this morning!
Suggested by Jason and Brooke to subscribe to your channel. So happy I did! Your daughter is the most adorable and knowledgeable child for her age. Like you said 5 going on 26. Your coop is beautiful, those lucky chickens to be able to live in that darling place. Excited to follow the rest of your adventutes.
Thank you! We have made a point of always including her in discussions and chores. I think that has helped a lot with her development and knowledge of things around her.
Thank you Charles! We're so glad it's finally finished. The chickens have been loving it for over a month. Can you guess what they did the first big storm we had? Yup, found the one spot that the rain could get in and got wet. (They dried off quickly) haha That's chickens for ya! - Jaclyn
My favorite part of the new coop is Eleanor holding Princess!🐓🐔💕 You did a wonderful job on your new coop. Im a new subscriber & can't wait for more videos. 🙏🇺🇦
I love when items can be repurposed and saved from the land fill...plus save you money! You did a great job on the build. Beautiful chickens and daughter.
I was sent over by Cog hill 40 to view your channel. ❤️ what a beautiful family..but Eleanor is such a smart little girl. ❤️. Great job..looks great 👍🏻
I have also come from Jason, Brooke and MaryCarl They are so Happy with you people as you probably know they do not stop talking about you and little Eleanor so I had to pass by and check out your farm Love from Australia
What a fantastic home your all built for Eleanor's special chicken's. I love how you incorparated it with your storm shelter. You would never know that is what it is. Love how you all work together as a family to make your Vision's come true. CogHill40 sent me over and i am so glad I am getting to know your wonderful family. God Bless. PS I love the pink flower thing you added to the one wall.
So glad I tuned you in what beautiful family, you have a very smart and awesome young lady, if she’s giving you a run now at six wait till she’s seven. You did great on fixing up your chicken palace there was so interested to find out that most of it you got off your farm. You do great work I love how you are with each other so loving. Will be looking for you and your next podcast so have a great day and God bless
Thank you Bill! I wanted that weathered western look and I can't wait to get some beds put in the front. I'm planning for herbs. Yes, you are exactly right about the tarp and oh has it been a game changer for us. We do this in every coop that we can. It started in "The Chick Cottage". No more shoveling. We'll have a video highlighting this soon! - Jaclyn
Eleanor is such a bright young lady. She will be so much more advanced than other children her age. Her vocabulary is off the charts! I know you are proud of her. The old saying the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree…is so true here. You guys set such a good example of work ethic and the power of a job well done. I’m a new subbie from Jason and Brooke’s channel Cog Hill. I have spoken to you via text message about possibly getting my starter chickens for my new flock. I did order from Murry McMurry and will be getting my new chicks on April,25th. I have watched your girls here on TH-cam and hopefully I will be able to order from you in the near future. I am located in Hueytown Alabama and hope to meet you soon. I really enjoy your channel and watching Eleanor introduce all the different birds. God Bless!
Thank you so much! Yes, I remember chatting before. Eleanor has always amazed us, we've always read to her and spoken to her like she is a person. We will be at the Petals Meet and Greet event on the 23rd if you're going to be there we can say hello!
I love that you are using recycled materials wherever possible and do your best to ensure all potentially harmful metal scraps are collected up. (If you watch 'The Hoof GP' you will find several videos showing what happens when a cow treads on such stuff.) Just a thought, if you can find some guttering and a tote you have a potential water collector in that roof.
Thanks so much! Eleanor is 5 going on 26 🤣😂😅 She is so much fun and has a desire to share everything she learns, including how to be kind and compassionate to others. Thanks for being here!
Hi Brenda, it's not easy to tell them apart and most have to wait until they crow or lay an egg. A few things I've learned to look for: watch the comb color and growth - females will typically maintain the same comb size from a month old on, males will get larger and get a pink or cranberry tint. Another is their head crest - females will be rounded and more even, males will have "streamers" that mainly trail out of the back above the other head crest feathers but sometimes stick out around top too. I've also gotten better recently at telling the difference in the sounds they make, young, when picked up - males have a deeper tone and more irregular sound (think a quite crow) and females will make a trill or raspy squawk. No matter what I can't start to really guess with this breed until a month old. - Jaclyn
The u tube I’m a survivor sanctuary had people sent them flags and they hung them up in the barn, wasp 🐝 made homes in back of the flags, so they had to take them all down, I hope you don’t have that problem in your cute pigeon coop. If you have questions you can email Lester

Love the look of the fence boards! Curious about the tarp..is that so you can pull the old shavings out easily?

Elenore is a great u tuber! She's going to take over the channel soon🐔🐓🐔🐓🐔🐣
When we watched the footage of her letting the ducks out, we laughed so much. She will for sure be doing more solo filming!

We have a rolling and fishing magnet and pickup all we see. We inevitably keep unearthing more. Forever a work in progress!

Thank you I'll look at them closer
Can I ask you a silkie health question?
Can anyone tell me what that heat tool is that she used to cut chicken wire and other things She said she got it from Harbor Freight?
It is an angle grinder! We still use it all the time for this.
@@HeadFamilyFarm Thank you!!!

Very interesting! We have more Mud Dobbers than wasps, though they do like our barn. We will keep a close watch. Thank you!
