I recall seeing a brief clip from when a pilot for a French version of the show was taped on this set. It showed the emcee coming to the podium on crutches. I think it was mentioned on a 15th anniversary special.

@lachlanpattersongameshows I still find it amazing how busy Jim was during that time. While he was doing $ale and before that, Card Sharks, he also commmuted between Los Angeles and Toronto to tape the Canadian game show "Definition", which he did for CTV for about fifteen years. He also hosted the annual Miss Canada pageant for a quite a number of years.
