The best decision I ever made for my hair was to cut back on washing it everyday. I started washing it 5 times to 4 to 3 now I wash my hair once a week. People get grossed out when I say that because they automatically think not washing your hair means not washing your body. Which obviously isn't the case. At first yes your hair is pretty oily. Dry shampoo was my bestfriend. I learned pretty quick that spending a little extra on dry shampoo is worth the money. You dont want to just buy that brand because it's the cheapest. My hair stopped breaking off when I washed it less. My hair is the longest and strongest its ever been. I seriously recommend to reduce the amount you wash your hair. It doesn't take super long for your hair to adjust. Now I barely need to use dry shampoo. I basically just use it for volume. So happy I did this and stuck it out and so is my hair 😊
Same here!! I felt like my hair even looks a lot shinier I get more compliments now. At first your hair gets oily super quick but now it gets oily on the very last day and that’s always a ponytail day so it’s just fine. Plus it helps for the hair dye to last longer lol.
I also wash my hair once or twice in a week. Wash everyday with is not good

I had dirty blonde/very light brown natural hair color that hasn’t been dyed in at least 5 years. I bought this hair dye and the color came out exactly like yours. I actually LOVE it on me and you as well. Yes this brand of hair dye is cheap but I have found in the past that it is the only one that doesn’t make my ears burn, turn bright red, and swell to twice the size lol. So making the decision to dye my hair again after so long I of course went straight for this brand. You looked gorgeous before and after. Not sure how old this video is but good luck at the job...hope you’re loving it.

I use this color a lot, and thought that it always turned out like that on me, because my hair was so dark. The color will really lighten up over time.

Previously dyed hair is stripped down to yellow-orange, so to dye over dye you are basically dying over yellow-orange even if it looks another color. Dyed hair is much more porous and it sucks in the color brighter or darker than virgin hair, you also did use the DEEP burgundy the #48 burgundy is much more purple and lighter. I really love Colorsilk's formula and it lasts longer than any other brand for me. It will get more even as you do it again for touch-up and refresh.
Seriously and honestly... This burgundy colored suits u well. U look more beautiful and sexier with this color than red!
I’d try this color from ion it’s light burgundy blonde and it gets deeper the longer you leave it n use a 5 vol developer:) it’s not really dark as in level but it’s a very rich color

I was looking into dying my hair this color. It is quite dark, but it looks SO fantastic with your skin tone! It turned out beautifully on you! I may try out the "burgundy" shade on my skin tone first, before trying the "deep burgundy". It may just be too dark for me. But it looks phenomenal on you!!!

I just dyed my hair this color today and I wish I would of saw this video before dying my hair I think they put the wrong color on the box because mines came out a little darker. The dark hair suits you especially with the red that pops out but mines look black. Hopefully the sun brightens it up.
If I mixed it with pink/red and developer would it be lighter and less brown?

Nice. :) Just dyed mine with Revlon Colorsilk as well. I used the Medium Brown color. :) Love the results. I'm now deep conditioning my hair overnight so it'll be extremely healthy in the morning when I wake up. :) I like the color on you though. But those colors-you either get really dark, or really RED!

Actually, darling, I just bought this for the first time and it is on my head now. If you had only used one box and less saturation, the colour would have been lighter. I have dark hair so am hoping for the best but using only part of one bottle. It seems like it is going to turn out as a chocolate cherry sort of thing. BUT YOU LOOK GORGEOUS! Thank you for the review. I once used Feria Chocolate Cherry but it fried my hair because that line is super strong and bad for the hair. So now, I either use henna (messy application!) or Color Silk Soft Black or now Deep Burgandy, or nothing. xxox

My hair is always oily and I wash it every day. I definitely need to stop but that was the only reason why I was washing it every day and that I am around someone who smokes and do not like the smell that it gives my hair. Any tips for me me would be appreciated 😀 And I just bought this dye hair box today. My hair is naturally dark brown but right now I have some blonde in it (balayage). I just got this dye today because I love burgundy hair. But since my hair is black it didn't show up just got darker and I assume you will see the tint in the light. But over all loved that it had no ammonia and it did cover my grays 😊. Overall I give it a thumbs up.

Just tried this today. I had shampooed my hair prior to dyeing it. My hair is short, but thick. It is also naturally black. Followed the provided instructions and honestly.. all it really did was just make my hair softer and smell good. I was expecting atleast a subtle tint but I cant even see the color..

Every time you wash it, it will get lighter because of the red but it would look much better I bought this color but I didn’t use it yet because I’m going to mix it with red but I won’t use the whole mixture into the red because is too dark just a little bit on the red dye to see how it would come out but it looks great on you 😊👌
Whoa what a coineedink!!! I went darker too!!! Oh my did I get so many compliments and how everyone liked it darker better!! But I really liked my bright magenta hair... guess I'll stick with it darker but I used L'Oreal HiColor H18 Deep Violet Permanent Hair Color. Gotta love Sally's!

I've used this color many times... It always comes out dark for me at first. It definitely lightens up as you wash it. I like how this color fades.... But yes it's definitely is a shock at first.

Omg I'm glad I saw this my dumb ass dyed my hair this color just now and I'm freaking out I went from a magenta to this and I cant believe how dark it looks after it took me so many treatments to get it red... lord now to get to a magenta again how lol I'm freaking out my hair is wet so it's looking dark now.

Reg. Burgandy had my hair color turn out kinda like your original hair color you started with, but MORE, Pinkish and brassy looking in my roots, esp., round my face, I wasn't happy, Then again, I'm 50ish, soo..
I used this color trying to dye some of my blonde locs burgundy and my hair came out black. I am so pissed. I came on here to see if it was just me. I see they need to rename that color.
Maybe 34 is 3.4. Level 3 is very dark, dark brown almost black.

I use Revlon's Color Silk in Burgundy as opposed to their Deep Burgundy. I feel like it has more of a red look. It was also listed in GoodHousekeeping as one of the best red hair colors, if not the best. Again, I am speaking of the same brand but the color titled Burgundy ad opposed to Deep Burgundy. Mind you, if you do try the Burgundy and your hair is currently as dark as it appears here then you're probably only going to see the new color at your roots until your new hair all grows out. That's what happened to me anyway when i tried to color over a black hair color I used. In short, no color change happened for me when I tried to color over my black hair color. Wasnt going to happen. i still colored my black as my roots grew out with the new lighter color. People thought it was my natural color growing out. It was not. Shhhh ;-). Dont tell on me. Let them think that ;-). I do believe though I may be wrong, that you will have more of a red with Revlon's Butgundy as opposed to their Deep Butgundy. And no, it won't be as red as the red you loved but I do believe it will have enough red for you to see and enjoy and I also believe it will be a red that your employer will slso be okay with. I think you will love it! As well as others. If not your Deep Burgundy color should work just fine covering it back up since it is much darker. I came here because I was debating on if I should go with the Deep Burgundy as opposed to Burgundy. Because I too love having red in my hair im going to stick with Revlon's Burgundy. Im thinking that Revlon went with red with purple/burgundy in their Burgundy color. While it appears from your video anyway, that they went with more of a brunette with purple/burgundy. Maybe??? If you love and miss your red I think you will prefer Revlon's Burgundy over their Dark Burgundy. And no, it won't be the same red as in your before coloring color. I believe it is and will be suitable for working with your company. Up to you. Maybe check online videos or web pages of Revlon's Burgundy #48 first. The color number on the box is 48. I think you'll love it. I do. XO

Everyone is different. Whenever u see the color fade or roots
It came out dark because it is a level 3. That color is in the 30’s range, closer to black.

Unfortunately, I have just got out of the shower after using this product expecting the same as you! RIP, it was absolutely black as hell. I am hoping that color will show up after it dries? Maybe a day or two? Previously I've had Feria Violet, it was greying pretty bad and was losing color , hence I decided to take another color. I'm hoping mine turns out like yours!💕✨
