I would prefer cursor because it has a chat system and a composer system that will generate files or look at specific files for errors. But thanks for the breakdown. I'll check back later and see what Windsurf has to offer after more development time.
Idea: try to build same apps in cursor and cascade. 1k, 5k 10k rows. Check when cascade works better or has better dev ex. My experience was not so positive but didn't test on new project. This will be gold.
Excellent video! I've been watching videos on this topic for a while now. To make simple websites and focus on each component and have AI assist you, what tool would you use? I'm more interested in more granular control than in building the entire app.
Cascade is great, but its code completion is slow and lacks intelligence. I often return to Cursor for its fast and smart autocomplete. Maybe I'm one of the few developers that still writes code so I use more of the auto complete features than the chat window code generation.
Someone who only knows basic coding cannot use Windsurf to build medium sized or Large apps. Only simple apps that barely meets real-world requirements. So good coders are will always be safe

Too bad cascade completely stopped working after 2 days and now their support team has taken longer than 24hrs to respond to email. I loved using this until it completely just stopped working
How Ai destroys Humanity. Just keep having humans release so many Ai apps, websites, tools, cars, random shit that they cant keep up and destroy eachother out of actual madness trying to keep up with which Ai app to use and adopt. This is absolute madness. Crypto was crazy but this is hard to deal with.
Naah, man… this is just the beginning of a new market. Sure, there’s a lot of hype, and most AIs won’t make it in the long run. But the ones that do will thrive-especially those that empower people to create and innovate in ways we’ve never seen before. I try to keep an open mind; there’s no limit to human creativity, for better or worse. Personally, I’m very optimistic. AI has already helped me at work and with a new project. I’m not a developer, and I’ve never studied it deeply, but I’m having a blast exploring AI and its potential.
