    Thank you for your honest opinion. I like the watch very much, but I wouldn't have thought that the glass would look like this over time.

      Honestly.. i never thought so too.. i think it’s something that can’t be fixed unless the anti reflective coating is reapplied. Quite sad that this happened. I think Bark&Jack mentioned this on his SMP300 too.

      @@WristDistractions You should be able to replace the sapphire with a new piece at the AD. Most watches allow for that, given that ML will provide the part. Plenty of manufacturers do. Worth a visit at the shop me thinks

      there is actually one more way to avoid this is that you can install a tempered glass or mineral glass for face of the watch even though it's shappire, i did what all of my watch - apply another protection over the face of the watch.

    I find the power reserve to be on the lower side. it's prolly less than 24 hours actually. what do you think?

    Tell me, my wrist is 19.5 centimeters, will they be too small for me? How long does this Maurice Lacroix strap last?

      Doubt so, it should fit fine.
      Strap last? Forever?

      @@WristDistractions good choice!, i was also very indecisive between the Le Locle and PRX when my wife told me she would gift me a watch. But i chose Le Locle at last .

    • @WristDistractions
      @WristDistractions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      both are superb contenders, if you worry about price I think the PRX is more friendly. It does use pretty good movement too. But the finishing on the Aikon is also quite alluring. It's a tough one.

    Very very weird, I have same but bigger model with chronograph AI6038, other than small scratches on bracelet nothing happened, and I was swimming in them in ocean, just a good watch

      @WristDistractions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you a brand guy? For me, i’ll pick the Aikon any time! It’s a very beautiful piece and for me better than a Royal

    • @larryfishkind5387
      @larryfishkind5387 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WristDistractions no I am not a brand only guy, though I do appreciate history of course.. I have not handled either of the watches, so it’s very hard for me to know. Also, I really like how tudor holds its resale value.
      Thank you for your comment. I appreciate the help.

    • @WristDistractions
      @WristDistractions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you worry about resale value then i think you need not hesitate and just go with the tudor. ML Aikon has no resale value but it also means that you can get it cheap off 2nd hand. Which becomes a even greater deal.

    Had no idea that this watch had AR coating on top of the crystal.
    Never understood why brands do that because it can scratch and start to look unsightly.
    It’s a beautiful watch nonetheless.

    • @WristDistractions
      @WristDistractions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i honestly wasn't aware, it does look like there's a water mark which is pretty irritating.. another watch similar is the omega seamaster!

    • @EssenceOfTrance
      @EssenceOfTrance 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@WristDistractions IIRC, you can quite easily get rid of the AR coating on the on the outside. I haven't done it before though.

    • @SunsetSheen
      @SunsetSheen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EssenceOfTrance yes I researched it and there are videos of how to do it on TH-cam. Doesn’t seem that difficult and it eliminates the whole issue of a foggy looking crystal.

    I have this watch now one year and already destroyed. After buying this watch (leather) strap don't stay in place and watch falls from wrist on the floor. This happened more than 10 times and only the glass is in tact, the whole body is scratched. I bought an other bracelet, the one from stainless steal, and after one year! A pice is missing in the band (just let loose) and now there is a hole in the bracelet. I complained at my jewellery store where I buy this watch and guess what! I needed to pay for the shipping costs to sent the watch to Germany. NO repair No exchange and NO contact possible with Maurice Lacroix about warranty after they sent it back to me. People never buy this watch for that ridiculous Price.
