Only problem with these videos is you don’t see the build up balls that lead the batsmen to play back and get caught on the crease. That was the beauty of Warne. A forever thinking bowler. Set them up and knocked them down.
NIKHIL KARPATE he wouldn’t of set a good example to Aussie cricketers and his team mates with his gambling, smoking and drinking habits. He was vice captain at one point though if I remember right

Always loved hearing Richie commentating to Warne. Insight and class. Richie was one of crickets truly great leggies with 250 wkts at 27 over a long career...and watching Warne bowl turned the clock back for him. He sounded genuinely excited watching him bowl.
@thatsbollox Richie said Warne was the best leg spin bowler there has ever been & he would’ve bowled more like Warne in his own playing days. Utmost respect
Best spinner of all time without a hinge of doubt. Wrist spin is one of the most difficult things anyone can master-up, he did that with absolute precision and extraordinary success.
It’s not just about 90s kids No one has ever spun the cricket ball like Shane Warne did No one will spin the cricket ball like Shane Warne did Shane Warne is all time favourite
So privileged to be on board your journey,to see your career. The heart you showed kids doing it tough, brings tears to my eyes. Thank you warnie. God speed.
I’m so glad someone has finally put together a compilation of some of Warnie’s better flippers. A difficult ball to execute, Shane placed so much top-spin on the ball, that it accelerate off the pitch with astonishing speed.
Richie’s call that is a wonderful delivery, absolutely wonderful. Reminds me of my mother when I came home with two A,s on my report card. I am lying I never took home a report card.
That was beautiful to watch. When you remember that he had all the other leg-spin tricks - a great leg break, wrong 'un, slider etc and then you see this you realise you really are watching greatness
Incredible contol of a cricket ball while bowling! What a bowler, Warne. Took leg spin to a different level and brought back enormous interest in spin bowling, when fast bowlers were ruling the game. Terrific cricketer and a legend. Thanks Warnie.
Underrated how much Warnie was always able to adapt & grow as a bowler. The fact that he all but lost his killer flipper after the shoulder surgery he had in 2002 due to dislocating it (After already having it completely reconstructed in 98'). Imagine taking away a batsmans most effective shot? Loses his flipper but still goes on to develop the Slider, which became particularly effective in England (Especially the '05 ashes) and kept adapting his bowling after the finger surgeries & everything else. Super impressive. Was a completely different leg spinner by the end of his career, but was still just as effective, and continued to get some of the best batsmen out well past his prime. He became a more cunning & wily bowler in the latter years. Didn't get as much savage spin & drift, and didn't have quite the same level of variation, but he was such a thinker. And almost always managed to set traps & out think his opposition. The guy was a genius on the field. And the one thing he never lost, and in fact continued to get better at, was his accuracy. Almost never gave his opposition easy runs with full tosses or half trackers. Game hasn't been the same since he left, and we still havn't come close to seeing anyone like him.
The best spinner ever..the flipper, the leg break, the top spinner, the googly, the faster leg break..he had so much variety. We miss you shane..no one can come close.
People keep saying the 'flipper kept low'!..Well it always does, it skids through, and can even come back slightly from the off..It's also very difficult to 'pick' from the hand, and is often misread as a quicker leg break!..Watch this video carefully, and you will see all the batsman playing back, thinking it's a faster legspinner, and Warne making them look rather silly as he goes straight through them between bat and pad!..Difficult delivery to bowl..But Warne was the absolute master of it!
yeah thats like the definition of a flipper, stays low and rushes through. If you are looking for the opposite variation, the one that jumps up and just hangs there, order a topspin
@@dandiojhymin2000 you are correct, flippers and sliders while having a similar effect are different variations. The flipper being the more difficult to bowl.
I lost interest in cricket after he retired from playing, because he was so exciting to watch. Couldn't believe the sad news that he was gone forever. So many great players from that era. Sachin Tandulkar, Brian Lara and so many more.
Just wish cricket australia had access to cricket footages all around the world so that we could get to see more such rare compilations of videos. That flipper was lethal.Warne's shoulder injury restrained it quite a lot.
Warne was most dangerous on BOUNCY wickets - it meant his stock ball was maybe more predictable but his variants (including the flipper) were much harder to anticipate. That's why, uniquely for a spinner, his record was better outside the subcontinent than in it.
Shane warne is a greatest legspinner in cricket history who can spin a ball with different variations anybody in future also can't replace his technique and talent he is a god of legspin

Absolutely. Cullinan never had any idea of how to bat against Warne. As a Sourh African, O wondered how it was that Cullinan ever managed to stay in our side as long as he did. Not one of our best batsmen especially against Warne.
Stuart MacGill is the most unlucky player ever. He was easily the second best Australian spinner ever but rarely got in the Test team because he bowled leg spin like the very best Australian spinner ever. And that's just Australia - it was indeed an era of great spinners who could sometimes destroy teams on any wicket.
@@kenoliver8913 agreed, and another reason why Australia was so unstoppable in that era. Oh the worlds best spinner is out, ok wel put the 2nd best spinner in.

His flippers were the best.. but the main thing is how wonderfully he set up the batsman and pull off surprise flipper delivery.. great bowler

Batsmen are so very late bringing the bat down, the ball must really scream through to hit the stumps. What a magician!
Warnie bowled at 78km-83km/hr. The flipper goes through at 88km-95km/hr so it was a faster ball, so it moved quicker and straighter.
