I love the grip on my prodigy and I’m looking at one of these LFAs and this will probably be one of my first mods to it just because it’s a good module that won’t break the bank!
@Average_Joe_Arms ... Thanks for the tip about the Prodigy grip! I didn't know that Springfield would sell the grip separately. I got one for my Apollo, and WoW, major difference. The Prodigy grip worked out excellent...thanks again!
@shawnchi7189 You have to call Springfield Customer service 1-800-680-6866 , you will also need the mainspring housing . I would recommend grip safety also , I didn't but modified mine.
Where on the trigger area did you file down? I couldn't get trigger to feel right so went back to LFA grip. I tried buying Prodigy trigger, but they won't sell those parts. May try again, Prodigy grip felt way better than LFA's. I also have compact, which is good as well. I'm hoping they do a DS 45 or 10mm soon. Keep up the good work!!!!
Thanks 🙏, I filed all 4 sides where the shoe sits , just a little on bottom and less on top and then evenly on the sides . Was very surprised how little it took .
Did you get the mainspring housing and grip safety from spring field when you called? I somehow missed this part got the grip module and when to put it together just to find I couldn't run the mainspring housing and grip safety from the Apollo.
@Average_Joe_Arms yep, can confirm now, it doesn't fit. I will order the springfield one. I did run into another issue though. With the Prodigy grip the magazine binds. The front of the magazine hits the very front of the of the frame. Gotta work some things out apparently 😅
You have to call Springfield 1-800-680-6866 , they will do it all over the phone . Make sure you get the Mainspring Housing, I will also be ordering grip safety next .
@@Average_Joe_Arms after trying and trying so much and getting very frustrated, I FINALLY….. stripped the heck out of the screw and had to order a new one.. so hopefully I can get it right when that comes in!
Main spring housing. Definitely. You can make your grip safety work. I did with mine, but I had to fit it a little bit of filing here. And there, but if I had it to do over again, I would buy the grip safety from springfield. That's all you need
They are the same size . I didn't do scientific measurements lol but I'm just holding them up to each other, and by feeling , if there is a difference, it's miniscule 👍
LFA's 3D printed grips are absolute garbage I left my gun in the truck for 1 day becasue I got home late went to grab it in the morning and the damn grip is cracked and brittle falling apart
Wow that's crazy , I live in Florida, pretty hot down here and I have to leave mine in car sometimes , never had that happen , was yours in a cold environment?

I did get the Mainspring housing from Springfield, but i used Apollo grip safety, I had to fit it.
@@Average_Joe_Arms what did you have to do to make the grip safety to work?
Had to file it down on the bottom where it meets the housing @@jl.520
@@Average_Joe_Arms thanks you filled on the bottom of the grip safety, not the top of the main spring housing correct?
@@jl.520 yes the grip safety not housing.
Looks great thanks for the video where did you get the parts from?
Springfield Armory, you have to call customer service and order 💪😎👍 thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Looks really good
Thanks for watching 🙏
Would the stock MSH of the Apollo work with the Prodigy grip?
@Gun_God1 i don't think so, friends have tried without any luck , it's super cheap like 10 bucks for Springfield housing , and the internals do fit.
@Average_Joe_Arms yep, can confirm now, it doesn't fit. I will order the springfield one. I did run into another issue though. With the Prodigy grip the magazine binds. The front of the magazine hits the very front of the of the frame. Gotta work some things out apparently 😅
@Gun_God1 i didn't have an issue fortunately with that 🙏 good luck

I could not get the Apollo 11 mag catch/release to stay in the prodigy grip. The lock and spring would just shoot out. Any advice?
It was a little difficult to get it to lock in. Had to push and turn at just the right spot .

@marktorres5736 that sucks bro , I know the feeling , I currently have a broken optic screw in my brand new Canik 😢.

is the prodigy grip module a little slimmer than the original apollo one?
