I love this rifle, had mine now for a couple of months. I have it out every weekend shooting 30 meters, ten shots inside a UK 1 pence consistently. Out to 50 meters and hitting a 1" spinner 19 out of 20 times, the one I miss is down to me. One fill to 200 bar easily gives 100 consistent shots. Best air rifle I've ever owned.
yes nice review mate, swayed my decision into purchasing one in .177. Ive dressed it with a MTC 4-16x44 F1- Hugget stumpy. You are right.. what a piece of kit it is.. over the moon with mine.
Bought one a fortnight ago. I love it. If the wife would let me, I'd sleep with it. BUT, I took it down the gun club last night and after around 30 rounds, (3 mags full) it started going off intermittently on it's own, with out my finger being near the trigger and several times when I moved the bolt forward!!! I took it back to the store today and they took a look at it. Luckily, it went off with him when he was testing it. The guy found the problem fairly quickly. It was something to do with the cocking mechanism, not the trigger. He did explain, but it was all too technical for me. Anyway, while the wife and I went and did some shopping, he fixed the problem and then shot off 50 to 60 pellets to prove it. When we went back to pick the compactto up, he said it was working fine. Can't wait to get out and test it for myself. Happy Shooting. Dave.
Thanks for a super in depth review Rack, I just took ownership of mine in .177 FAC. I was attracted to the Compatto after watching the VHTV review and I have to say I'm well pleased with mine. I think the variable power is a major advantage.....Billy.
+Tim Hames Hi Tim, to date I haven't been able to collate the stats regarding shot count and power variation, but when I do I'll post them for you. [It really is a super wee rifle]
Love mine, its my favourite go to rifle and getting through 9500 diablo heavy's (4.52) in 3 years, its the only rifle I've ever been really happy with for more than a year + 100 shots per fill, cant fault it.
Awesome.. I used to 'think' I was a good shooter with powder burners.. I could hit a 8" plate at 100 yds with My 308.. After years of airgunning, practicing all the fundamentals of shooting constantly, in My backyard, of all places! Recently I shook the dust of My old 308 (downside of powderburners, You cant shoot all day everyday, expensive, unneighborly) and I could consistently get MOA groupings.. It was all due to the practice from airgunning, in particular shooting spring rifles.. Thanks for the vid..
I nearly bought one of these yesterday but there was just something about it I didn’t get on with. I also looked at an rti priest too which I preferred to the compatto but in the end bought an FX wildcat instead. I’m more than happy with my choice so far. I’m not sure I believe that people get well over 200 shots from a 200 bar fill from them but we will see soon 👍
Thing is if it has a clip on the barrel it’s not free floating but if the clip is on the shroud the barrel is free floating inside the shroud I suppose. Just a thought Love the channel 👍👍
Good review Rack, knew you would like it. But about the gauge being where it is, its not a problem for sensible shooters who know to look at it from an angle, I can clearly see mine from 20 degrees which puts my head way out of harms way, and even your camera angle view was from an angle, anyway enough of that. Yep it is as smooth as silk in use, and the new magazine brings confidence from the old brocock design, all in all a well rounded rifle and your review touched on that. thanks for the upload ! atb Phil
What bi pod would you recommend for this gun? Also I have access to home oxygen in cylinders and a compressor, would I be able to use this to charge the gun/oxygen tank purchased?
if shouldered the fx but not fire it see i like compacts as in carbine or bullpups or take down i hava a bsa superten centenary im trying to refurbish but parts are coming up hard to find i bought a ultra thanks to ur review on it and mtc mamba scope it like a surgical instrument on a rat im getting ear shots thanks for ur reviews the help alot but brocock or fx frm ur point of veiw would u be interested in my centenary as a project with certificate
Great review as usual.I totally agree that Brocock should do a Realtree camo. version of this gun.I also very much appreciate in your reviews that you put a gauge on the trigger so we can see what the ALL IMPORTANT poundage is on trigger pull.Good work and I believe i will get one in .22.Good work.Thank you One year plus on from this review is anyone aware of any problems with this gun as I would like to get one?
My good mate who got me onto this Aurgun hobby as a target shooter has this gun, he loves it. I like this aswell as the weihrauch 110. My mate has also shot the 110 and said its a beast. out of the two, which do you prefer mate? Im loving this channel btw ATB
As you have reviewed them both and I must say, great details in ur reviews! But as I haven't had my hands on them what would you recommend for a first time shooter.... kral puncher or compatto?! My local shop has the compatto at 100£ more but from my knowledge daystate being involved and the kral being a Turkish make not at the same level makes me think 100 more well spent! What your thought please mr rak n load! Haha
Hello mate thought I'd drop a message had the rifle for like 9 months now! Absolutely love it! I have quiet abit of land so been using it on that but off to petes airgun farm this weekend for cant wait! But now I'm actually considering getting my licence for a fac rifle, as I use the rifle a lot so won't be wasted! Fx crown / brocock bantam is my thoughts so any reviews of them would be great haha! Take care mate and thanks again for the brocock review!
Was about to buy the FX Wildcat until I saw this review. At around half the price, its a no-brainer. Cant understand why you didn't knock one out while you were reviewing this rifle :-)
Rack and load what do think is the best fx wildcat or the brocock compatto please let me know mate because u are the guy i go to if i want to look up a rifle
+Matthew Place For me, it's the Compatto, seems more robust, simple cooking handle and ambitious. You really need to shoulder them both. Let me know how you get on! Atb, Rack

Hi David, having had the rifle a while now, what do you think about it mate as I am looking to buy one? Thank you, Dr Paul.

+Iain Bickerstaff Cheers buddy, Atb, Rack

+THE RATTYFIRE What is the shot count you are getting from your FAC .177 version? Also what power is it running at?
+Tim Hames Hi Tim, to date I haven't been able to collate the stats regarding shot count and power variation, but when I do I'll post them for you. [It really is a super wee rifle]
Just got one , Target regulated second hand. Love it as a lighter weight fun gun at the range.
Love mine, its my favourite go to rifle and getting through 9500 diablo heavy's (4.52) in 3 years, its the only rifle I've ever been really happy with for more than a year + 100 shots per fill, cant fault it.
I like that looking down the barrel to see what the pressure is.
+Harley Fee you don't look strait down the barrel, you look at an angle and that's how it was designed.
Just kidding Sir.
Harley Fee you kidda you :)

+Whistling Canine I absolutely agree mate, airgunning along with .22 rimfire shooting is great practice for bigger stuff and cheap too! ATB, Rack

Love the channel 👍👍
Yeah I guess as long as it's not touching the shroud...
Thanks rack, this video long with verminhunters is making this a very tempting gun.

I`m really warming to the Compatto and seriously considering purchasing one.
I might hold out for when they offer more than just the Tactical stock.

+Lefay Modron Angus It is what it is, you need more power get an up rated one or a rimfire.
I'm sorry, I didn’t meant any offence, I'm just sad because we British are treated like inferior to the American cousins
+Lefay Modron Angus I know you didn't buddy, just saying 😁
