Hi ive got a uk .177 compatto and I kid you not, I can hit 1/2" groups all day long at 45y, fantastic shooting rifle in .177 @ 750fps using 4.52 Biesley Magnums. Not a fan of the Plastic stock but it is very hard ware'in and robust.. Overall I would highly recommend.
You are welcome. All our reviews we pull the gun out of the box, and shoot a ton of pellets through it letting the results be what they are. Where we din't have a pony in the race we will always just post honest reviews
Great review - I live in the UK and have only just found your videos. More please! I think you are spot on with your comment about testing different head sizes. Different barrels certainly prefer specific head sizes. For example my .177 Daystate Pulsar (which is a lovely rifle) prefers JSB Exact Express pellets with a head size of 4.51mm, while my BSA Ultra prefers Baracuda Match in 4.53. It takes a huge amount of experimentation to find the right pellet for a specific barrel, whatever the calibre. Are you getting hold of the Brocock Bantam BTW? That would solve most people's shot count issues
Great video I would recommend however that you break out another one to test, as I am not that great of a shot but can do better than inch groups at 50 yards. The gun seems to like Beeman silver bears or the other pellet shaped the same.
I do like you guys reviews on Air Rifles and this one is a very good one about the Compatto. I understand that Brocock.Co.Uk has a regulator for sale for the Brocock Compatto. Is the regulator available at Airgun Depot? Any recommendations? If you do please send me me de link. Thank you.
Hey guys, after watching your review and reading a few comments, I do have a question. The shooting you showed here was with the .25. Have you done groups with the .22? Are those groups/accuracy any better? I am looking for something just like this, but accuracy would be paramount for me, in .22. Is this a hand pump friendly rifle? I am 5'5" average built, no fatso, but not a body builder either. Thanks!
No, well, they can if you use a booster like the Shoebox booster, but generally the output of a regular home type compressor is far to low to fill a 4500 psi tank.
Out of the box I'd say the Compatto. The Streamline ships with 2 moderator sections, but if you buy two more sections it's equally as quiet (as we offer in this combo: www.airgundepot.com/fx-streamline-synthetic-lr-sniper-combo.html
hello I've got a question I have seen a lot of brocock compatto reviews and everybody else said how great The Gun shot and how accurate it is you guys gave the worst review I have seen on this gun I wonder why
That's not exactly a bad review. They just tested a few pellets. For example, mine likes Air Arms Heavies, which they didn't test. I tell you this too, as a gun to shoot offhand, this one is hard to beat. I like the short air tube, as I'm a hand-pumper. Don, what kind of shooter are you? This one is sure a lot easier to handle when you're up and about than an S500, R10, Streamline, Regal, etc. Those guns are all about the same price, so take your pick!
I have the compatto in 177 sub 12ftlb for indoor pest control as I have two other high power pcp’s. I am really pleased with it especially the accuracy. If you bother checking around you will find this is a terribly inaccurate review just plain factually wrong. The 25 calibre models I believe did not have the slingshot hammer, and reducing the power level does not save air or increase the shot count on any of the models as it only reduces the size of the transfer port not the amount of air released with each shot. I would not recommend buying the .25 calibre model as the air tube is too small to maintain accuracy over the inevitable poorish power curve. It’s a brilliantly accurate gun for small pest control in the low power smaller calibre but for the power levels here you need to look at the bottle version called the bantam. I have shot well over 100 pest birds with mine inside farm sheds on the lowest power setting roughly 6ftlb with the lightest jsb pellet I could find to avoid collateral damage. The magazine is very good but can jam with some pellet types especially the funnies. This can be cured by using a different o ring on the drum or by as I do just pointing the gun at the ground when cycling the bolt, most ordinary Diablo pellets cycle fine. A good tweak is to fit a strip of double sided foam sticky tape between the stock and air tube which eliminates the for-end stock flex. A fantastic gun in the low power versions. Upgraded sniper hr version now available with Huma reg.
The Compatto is way more accurate than your test shows. Seemed like a rushed review. My .22 Compatto has made kill shots on pigeons out to a range finder measured 104 yards and many at 94 yards. Watch Si at Vermin Hunters he take pests out to 70 yards with a sub 12 ft pound Compatto. The other guns get all the press, the Compatto not so much, won’t ever part with mine.

1/2" groups at 45 yards with the .177 is very impressive. Nice shooting
Hey, thanks a heap, John. Always wondered what the company was up to since discovering it many moons ago.
Thanks for a great HONEST review!

General question. Can the portable air tanks be filled using a home type compressor?
No, well, they can if you use a booster like the Shoebox booster, but generally the output of a regular home type compressor is far to low to fill a 4500 psi tank.
heeeey, I had one of those air cartridge thingys.... but mine were plastic, those look metal
Sweet rifle , when purchasing Brocock Capatto 22cal ,does it comes with suppressor or do you have to purchase it separately
The moderator comes with the gun.
How about a review on 22cal I want to know FPS 14.3 GR , CROSSMAN PREMIER, at full power I am very interested on purchasing one from Airgun depot
The Crosman Premiers will average around 885 fps.
Hi Jon,
Nice video. Are you going to put the Brocock on Amazon?
We generally don't put imported high end airguns like this on Amazon. But we can take care of you directly through our website
Which gun is quieter the Compatto or the FX Streamline?
Out of the box I'd say the Compatto. The Streamline ships with 2 moderator sections, but if you buy two more sections it's equally as quiet (as we offer in this combo: www.airgundepot.com/fx-streamline-synthetic-lr-sniper-combo.html

can you take a moderator off if you wanted to
You can on the Huggett version of the Compatto. I believe the reflex moderator version is loctited on.
