There's another excerpt from this routine on TH-cam, called "Where's the Cake?" and it literally made me break down in tears with laughter. Instantly made Moran my favorite comedian of all time.
His earlier shows like ..... ( Monster ) And ( Like Totally ) .. Where he actually got a bit pissed on stage and smoked. He tamed his act as he got more well known and got older. Rock'n'roll stand up.
Dylan's stand up is in my top favourites, along with Anthony Jeselnik, Frankie Boyle, Danny Bhoy, and Jimmy Carr. Dylan's bits about genitalia, country people, kids... All great. Jeselnik's Thoughts and Prayers special. Danny Bhoy's Visitors Guide to Scotland. Joe Wilkenson's poem on 8 Out of 10 Cats. Jimmy Carr's unnecessary joke to Susie Dent. Sean Locke's 'outrageous comment'. So much great Brit humour. As a Canadian I will also throw out Jon Lajoie - Everyday Normal Guy 1 and 2, Radio Friendly Song, High as Fuck ..... 😊
I've seen Dylan Moran a few times and didn't think much of him but I thought he was brilliant on this video. If you haven't already, try out Micky Flanagan ("The Shits" is a good place to start) taken from his tour which is much funnier than when he does guest appearances. Then there is Dara O'Briain, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Al Murray (aka, The Pub Landlord) who does brilliant interactions with the audience, most people start with, "Al Murray, Versus the Americans".
Dylan is 'A 'tier, Quite a few UK top comedians don't do your Sat night TV shite like Live at the Apollo which is more mainstream, a few do like Micky Flanagan. Other top tier comedians, some i've seen such as Dylan, include Stewart Lee - see the Braveheart rip in Glasgow. Peter Kay, you know, did you get Phoenix Nights? Anything with Steve Coogan, Paul or Pauline Calf, hope you got _Alan Partridge_ over there.
When i saw him live , This guy kept shouting / Heckling during the show and Dylan without missing a beat said in a calm voice. Please stop shouting or i'll come to your work and photocopy your ass for you. The whole crowd laughed and we never heard from the guy for the rest of the show. :)

Loved Black Books, love his stand up! Hillarious!
Black Books was one of the greatest shows … thx for the memories 🙏
Agreed Black Books is almost legendary !
Wholesome reaction.

Hey mate. Love the video. Dylan is my favourite comedian. You should definitely react to the full what it is show. ❤😂❤
I liked how you said that this must be old because 'random' is dated now, then, at your next pause, called his look random, without realising it. :)

"Random" hasnt been a thing for a while... Dude you are reacting to, what. 15 years old material.
That was my point. I was surprised how old it was. It made me feel old.

But yeah. He is a unique comedian with a very special angle to things.
