    what an incredible vehicle and restoration so far. If someone offered me a Lambo, Ferrari, Rover or this work in progress it would be no question. You're viewership is going to grow immensely with this build. I'm a proud Jeep JL guy but this vehicle just hits home and the heart. Thanks for sharing and please keep doing so.

    Cool rig! Must be sweet after the wait. Listening to the video of the truck on the trails. I’m wondering if you can line up some sponsors including Dynamat!
    The tent fabric seems like a good project for a boat upholstery shop. Or maybe Sail Rite sewing machines could be one of your sponsors or lead you to someone willing to take on the project.

    Loving the old Toyota Kevin.
    Interesting you mentioned 91 fuel as high octane ?.
    Here in New Zealand 91 fuel is considered a very low octane rating, as we have 91,95, 98 and recently 100 octane at the pump.
    I personally run 95 or 98 in my 4x4, with 100 normally reserved for higher performance sports cars and the like.
    I don't think I've actually owned a vehicle that would even run properly on 91 octane.
    Pretty sure it's only reserved for older Japanese vehicles over here. 🤔

    • @NiePieerdol
      @NiePieerdol 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same in Europe. Less than 95 octane is not even available. I'm not sure if 91 would even get you drunk!

    Such an iconic shape! Love the new series that will be coming on top of your already incredible work. Love what you have done to one of ‘our’ (Aussie) models, with NSW plates too (my home state)! Check out Overland Travellers if you haven’t already. An Aussie couple did a DIY resto on their 45 series and have just crossed the Simpson desert with it. Trakka still exist in Australia. Might be worth reaching out if they still have the pattern for the canvas pop top skirts. Also, ARB do a reproduced bullbar if you are interested in an upgrade of the front bumper. Overland Travellers installed one on theirs. AB

    Love your rig!! Talked with you a bit at the Overland Expo but it was a very overwhelming scenario for everyone. I had a question about your drivetrain. You mentioned briefly in the video that the H55F was "not entirely pleased" with the 350hp motor. Could you elaborate on that? I have an older 40 series that has a V8 conversion paired to the H55F and have been eyeing this same motor for the same reasons you talk about. These newer chevy motors are quite reliable and the EFI is great. Adding an EFI system to my current rig will ad upwards of $2K to the mix, and all that to an older motor. Not the best way to do it, really. Anyway, I'd love your feedback on the combo. Do you have a two speed transfer case? Thanks!!

  • @norsefalconer

    Right hand drive? 🤔 You may want to check out TFLnow's video on Maine and Rhode Island pulling registrations on some JDM vehicles. What they're doing can, and likely will, extend to all other vehicles imported under the Fed 25yr rule that don't have FMDSS certification. These states are setting precedence that could, and likely will, spread to other states. All vehicle based communities need to get the word out and fight this overreach tooth and nail.

    Hi. Great stuff. I'm about to buy the same rig only without the pop top unfortunately. What I'm wondering is..... can you stand straight up with the roof extended ? Are both fuel tanks under the rig as apposed to the ones with the tank under the driver seat ? Last but not least. Would you get a later troopy carrier over this rig ? Like the 1990 troop carrier ? Thanks
