This video has been really helpful to me in explaining the technology used in this product - THANK YOU! I’m a bit nervous about buying new technology but I think we’re gonna do it - Ellen Wood Wheat Field Oak for the kitchen, living/dining room and bathrooms. The product samples are really gorgeous and solid!
Just discovered your channel and finding your videos very useful. Interesting to hear you've used water-resistant laminate in your own home instead of LVP. I've been considering the same as i'm starting to see more videos pop up of issues with LVP that cannot be blamed on installation. The product in this video is an interesting alternative. Personally I perfer thicker 12mm laminate so will probably go with a water-resistant version of that (while we still can 😂)
I have been looking at this floor in Sand Chestnut. I have dogs and cats, they said this is waterproof. They said it could go in the kitchen and bathrooms. Not gonna lie, I’m nervous. I purchased a Mohawk laminate from Costco in Millport Hickory. It said it was waterproof. I should have known better being a laminate but it’s not waterproof! But I trusted it ugh. Is this really waterproof? Great videos by the way!
No, this is not a shower material. It could be used on a bathroom floor. For a shower floor, wood look tiles can be an option as there are some options available in small mosaic formats that will slope to your drain more easily than larger format tiles.
@@RemodelWithRobert Thank you for the quick reply! I was trying to do a contiguous flooring in my shower/wet room area to the sinks. I guess it won't work. Thanks again!
Good call, Steve. I understand Ceramin has a similar story in terms of PVC free products. I don't have as thorough of a familiarity with the line as Inhaus is not a brand I've ever carried personally, but it would be a great option for shoppers to look into as well! Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
It is a floating floor and very comparable to other floating products. It has an attached underlayment designed to help absorb some of the sound, so that eliminates the need for a separate sound suppressing underlayment
The Karastan laminate has some of my favorite products for any floating floor. This collection has some great looks and textures, but its bigger advantage is not in the looks as much as the other elements I mention. It is also a less expensive product option than the Karastan laminates
There are several products in the natural tones that do have some subtle tonal differences, but there is a decent range of colors over the whole line. It's definitely worth seeing in person if you are shopping!

What is the top coat made of? Alum oxide finish?
Cost per square foot of the pure tech flooring?

Can you use this flooring inside a shower? Is there any wood looking flooring that can be used in an actual shower?

What is the unique pattern count?
Now do Ceramin, from Inhaus, it’s been around eight years, so it’s well tested.

Good Info
Is this flooring noisy?
It is a floating floor and very comparable to other floating products. It has an attached underlayment designed to help absorb some of the sound, so that eliminates the need for a separate sound suppressing underlayment
How does this compare to karastan laminate? Does it have the real wood feel?
The Karastan laminate has some of my favorite products for any floating floor. This collection has some great looks and textures, but its bigger advantage is not in the looks as much as the other elements I mention. It is also a less expensive product option than the Karastan laminates
