Sono Alfista da tre generazioni compreso mio figlio. La storia Alfa è terminata con la Giulia e la Stelvio che usiamo con grande soddisfazione compresa una 4C ed una GT con il Busso. Nella Milano nessun elemento sia meccanico che di design ricorda il grande marchio, anzi lo deturpa con innesti di tecnologia generalizzata. Pochissimo design code del brand, tanto overdesign e poco equilibrio formale. Non ci siamo assolutamente. Consiglio di visitare il museo Alfa e rivedere su YT i seminari qui organizzati con la testimonianza dei protagonisti concreti della storia dell’Alfa Romeo.

Se Alfa Romeo ha un popolo a suo seguito, "gli Alfisti" è proprio perchè ha sempre creato la storia, il romanticismo e l'innovazione dell' automobilismo italiano e non. Nessun marchio può vantare questo. Se a tutti quelli che rispondono come te chiedi come è nato il mito del Quadrifoglio Verde, sicuramente non sanno cosa rispondere.
Non voglio offendere il tuo parere, ma Alfa Romeo è un patrimonio per la nostra storia automobilistica. È questo che ha sempre distinto l'ingegno italiano.

Purtroppo la "globalizzazione" anche nella industria automobilistica , porta ad un appiattimento delle tradizioni migliori, come era Alfa Romeo, a vantaggio di una uniformità di linee e di meccaniche. Questo è il "progresso" ....io non lo apprezzo. Viva la vera, storica, Alfa Romeo!!!
La verità è che sono tutti alfisti ma poi i volumi di vendita di Giulia e Stelvio si sono visti. Non abbastanza, lo hanno anche detto chiaramente nella presentazione. A questo punto devono guardare il fatturato, visto che poi all’utente medio dell’albero di trasmissione in carbonio frega ben poco. Gli alfisti purtroppo non fanno numero di vendite in alfa.

I have looked through all the comments here. Out of 400 comments, 390 are negative. I hope that Stellantis will learn something from this and finally offer us a normal non-SUV Alfa. Where is the Giulia Sportwagon? Where is the Giulia Coupe or new GTV that is not made for billionaires? They have completely forgotten who their customers are.
When customers have chance to buy super mini or hatchback ten years ago nobody's was doing that. All this negative is from people who never own Alfa Romeo. If you don't like Milano, you still have second hand MiTo Giulietta or even 147,159 etc. (what's wrong with MiTo from 2019 and Giulietta from 2020 for example)

And now I have three Alfas and I wanted to buy a new one, something next to the family Giulia, but nothing is offered except SUV buckets. I want an affordable coupe for everyday use, something like the good old Alfa GT. Alfa has not offered such a car for decades.

@@DavorPasaric This "SUV" trend have to stop,we agree .I don't get it,why we need high clearance vehicles in every segment of car industry. Because is hard to get in or out,if it is hatchback, Coupé or sedan? And one more thing,this hype over EV is not good (the battery are too heavy and expensive to make also not good for environment while producing them) . With out some major advanced breakthrough(weight , range, longevity, environment friendly,etc) in battery sector, for me better solution is hydrogen based engine.

Im in tears. Ive owned six Alfa Romeo’s and 3 were Milanos. They present this with all the Alfa Romeo pedigree adjectives but when they speak of Racing Pedigree etc…. And you look and see this, it down match. Its a phucking SUV!!!! They killed this brand!!! And keep saying to make money with the whole EV thing. NO ONE LOOKS TO Alfa Romeo FOR AN EV! No one is fooled into thinking that this electric breadbox will drive different from other EV’s just because the badge says Alfa Romeo. They’re are not auto enthusiasts, they are adult kids which care less about the name. 🤦🏾

forse Cantarella fu il migliore, sotto la sua guida ci furono la Alfa Romeo 156 che fu una rivoluzione del design, porto al debutto i motori multijet e vinse nel DTM con grande successo ed in fondo era una Tempra modificata! Tutto sommato questa Milano è meno peggio di quanto mi aspettassi, venderà di sicuro, la sfida non è tanto su questo modello quanto su cosa sapranno fare con Stelvio II e Giulia II, se falliranno qui allora sì, Tavares, vendi!

A legendary sports brand, until recently even in F1, with ingenious models like the new 33, but for us, faithful Alfisti, they offer just another boring generic SUV bucket that looks like Peugeot 2008. Alfa Romeo used to know how to make a sports-style car, with a sports engine, and at a price that the average middle class citizen can buy. Isn't it a shame that this brand with such a rich history has not offered a single coupe for years? The last non-exclusive coupe was the 4C, however, it was not suitable for the masses and it wasn't daily usable like the GTV, GT or Brera before. I am very disappointed, the only thing left for us is to continue buying Giulia. A sports brand that offers 3 SUVs and one sedan? Has our dear and precious Alfa Romeo really fallen that low?

@@Alexander72628 I think that such "market" is not up for SUV Alfas because most of such generic buyers who just want a SUV will not choose an Alfa. They'll just play it safe and buy VW, BMW, Mazda, Toyota... Generic buyers don't choose Alfa Romeo. And on the other hand, Alfisti don't want a SUV. So they lose on both markets I am afraid.

Sempre a trovare dei difetti: se è bella, ci si lamenta perchè è troppo cara (vedi stelvio -julia- e Tonale- che hanno venduto piu' nel resto di europa che in italia) se la fanno abbordbile: nooooo dai, non è fatta bene, gli interni sono poco curati, poca tecnologia rispetto alle tedesche ( basta vedere le sorti della Giulietta e mito) che sono risultate un fallimento in vendite al punto di considerare il marchio alfa un fallimento. La fanno moderna, al passo delle altre: No dai... sembra una reanult-peugeot messe assieme. Quindi, se bisogna essere sinceri come dici tu, bisogna ammettere che l'alfa a prescindere dal modello che fanno, è stata sempre criticata, motivo per cui, gli ultimi anni ci ha portato al quasi fallimento.

This isn't for me, but I hope it sells bucket loads for the brand. I've not seen ONE Tonale on British roads since launch, no idea who is buying them. I'll be sticking with the Giulietta Veloce a little while longer.... I thought the chief exec of Alfa Romeo's speech was excellent.

The same exact platform you are mentioning is derived from the one utilized on the Fiat Bravo which is a big pile of shit. A front double wishbone isn't enough to elevate it. The only proper Alfa thing on the 156 GTA is the Busso V6 engine, the rest is trash. A FWD with a transverse engine that lack a LSD isn't a sportcar by any mean, regardless of the badge. The new Giulia is a proper Alfa, even the Stelvio which share the same platform, the 156 definitely not, including the GTA. And btw I like the design of this new Milano and I can see myself on the market for one in the near future. At the end of the day these are the cars that people buy nowadays as dailies, just like Macan/Cayenne for Porsche (basically fancy VW). If by selling this Milano they can develop something more aikin to the brand heritage, so be it.

If Alfa wants to survive they need to play in more segments and bring new models and this is a good beginning, especially if you want to compete in the international market where the Germans , Japanese are leaders.
As a positive and opened minded Alfista I saw this brand growing despite the difficulties but the problems are the Italians who hate Italian products and who hate Italy and go buy BMW crying saying that Alfa is no more Alfa or crying about anything like little girls.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp of Vauxhall
1 tsp of Peugeot
5 tbsps Jeep
300ml olive oil
25 slices of marketing Salami
1 sprig of Alfa Romeo Scudetto
Step 1.
Take all the ingredients and place into a mixing bowl.
Using a food processor, mix thoroughly to make sure you have a consistent even dough.
Step 2.
Preheat your oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
Step 3.
Take your mixture and pour into a high sided baking tray or medium sized loaf tray.
Step 4.
Tap the sides until the mixture settles.
Step 5.
Place filled tray into your preheated oven.
Step 6.
Turn the lights off and go have a coffee or a few Peronis with your friends.
Step 7.
Return back to the kitchen 2 years later after telling everyone you are preparing a treat and, voila!
A freshly baked Milano complete with over-the-top Scudetto branding together with a front cable compartment - careful, not too much as that will taste too sickly.
Add Salt and Pepper to taste.

Zero surprise! Everyone around me is driving ugly and stupid cars. Companies want to make money and Alfa Romeo is not a group of car enthusiasts, it's a brand. (Not anymore anyways). This just reflects society.
Alfa was loved and successful precisely because it was a group of car enthusiasts. This is now corporate greed and an attempt to get us into a boring SUV bucket by baseless PR speech. Why can't they just make a normal entry level car like MiTo or Giulietta? And where is Giulia Sportwagon? Where is Giulia Coupe?

I've been driving Alfas all my life. I currently have three of them and was hoping for a new model that I could buy. This is a shame, the third SUV in a row, and the basic models (small hatchback, sportwagon, coupe) are not covered. It would have been better if they had stuck to the Giulia platform and built the Sportwagon and coupe versions on it. Am I the buyer of this Alfa? I am certainly not. Do I know anyone who would buy it? Also, no.
I kinda like it, need to see it in the real world but it’s a small cross over so styling has to be competitive with other brands. Wheels are fantastic. If this is what’s needed to give Alfa the volume then I’m good with it. If all the people complaining had actually bought one of the other alfas they wouldn’t need to build this.
Yes my friend. I agree totally as a driver of a Giulia Quadrifoglio, a 159 3.2, and a 90 2.5. We must go with the time. And AR did well in implementing many many details which are outstanding for this class. Milano is a compromise, but a amall one... Next year Stelvio and Giulia in 26 will show the same attributes as the new Giulia in 2015 did. Bit i hope Alfa romeo will give us a choice, too between ibrido and elletrica!
That's the problem there isn't an Alfa or Fiat dealer in London... hopefully they can set up some pop up stores or set up a few dealers.

Agree car brands have to go with the flow, Lotus, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini all have SUV lines. It’s the only way to survive.
I like this , nice design and wheels are great. The front grill is the only fussy part. But it’s certainly a breath of fresh air compared to other cars in this segment.

I get some of the comments, but the facts are:
1) Alfa needs to sell cars
2) Alfa needs to make (more) money
3) People buy SUVs nowadays
4) Alfa needs cash cows to reinvest in creating new cars
5) Nowadays, SUVs are cash cows for most car companies
If the Milano gives Alfa more sales and more money, like we’re seeing with Tonale, I’m happy with that. Then hopefully they reinvest in creating new cars that us Alfisti will like. So maybe one day if the planets align I might get my Giulia Sportwagon…
I actually like the look of the Milano, especially with the “Leggenda” grill of the hybrid, which reminds me of the great Alfas of the 1920s and 1930s 🐍🍀
Yes, it's true that normal buyers want SUVs, but those people won't buy Alfa, they'll play it safe with some conservative brands. And Alfisti won't buy this Peugeot buzzbox. At least they could offer an normal hatchback in Golf-class, it's also what generic people buy. I was ready to buy a new Alfa, but now I have to stick to my old JTD.
Sono sempre stato Alfista e questa non è un Alfa Romeo ma un Alfa Peugeot o una Citroen Romeo: non ha carattere, non ha quel carattere che gli italiani avevano dato al marchio Alfa Romeo. Il costo di un auto non è sinonimo di passione ed è quello che manca da tempo, da quando l'automobilistica italiana non parla più italiano. I tedeschi amavano Alfa Romeo e la desideravano, tanto che l'avrebbero acquistata senza intervenire, così dicevano, nel concept perché avevano bisogno di un qualcuno con cui misurarsi per migliorarsi, sempre. Se il padre di Filippo vedesse cosa ora è Alfa Romeo probabilmente direbbe che è un "auto" ma non un Alfa Romeo. Chi è cresciuto sulle 33, le 75, le 156, le 159 conosce la differenza. Chiamatela Alpha Roméo ma no Alfa Romeo

I've owned a GTV-Spider, 156 2.5 V6, 147 and more, and I always loved almost all models. But this one ... 😢😢😢 This has no Alfa soul, no Alfa look. Put a Peugeot logo on it please and remove the Alfa logo... This really breaks my Alfisti heart.

(Did Alfa not pay the electricity bill at Centro Stile to have the lights on during the design phase?! I know we went through a cost of living crisis, but I would have given you a few Euros to keep the lights on if you were that desperate).
I was so hopeful this thing would look impressive.
Some of the leaked designs showed interesting and seductive curves. I saw this leaked image and I thought it was the worst one, surely Alfa has some taste.... and they released the ugliest as a production car.
An overstyled front end. Everything beneath the tri-segmented headlights lights just make it look so busy and generic.
The front grille is a disaster.
Clumsy rear lights, they could have taken influence from the rear circular lights of the 33 Stradale and done something funky with it, instead they decided on giving it a frowning rear light bar.
It might be being over-generous, but if I squint, I can see reference elements to the rear-end design of the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ or TZ2, but this modern reinterpretation has been done so badly.
It looks like a smacked fat arse that sat on a bag of Haribo Starmix.
I'm sure it will have some sort of road presence when it's new. But come on Alfa! This is most definitely not your finest hour. You're supposed to be wanting to save the brand.

You are right, passion changes the automotive world and we need that to make difference. Unfortunately we are seeing soulless cars, that don't give you pleasure to drive being launched. But fortunately we have Alfa Romeo. I love this brand. Grazie.
There aren’t hybrid versions with more than 136hp. It’s a shame. Also in the B-segment I would have kept a manual version to lower the price of the entry level and give more choice to the customers. The electric versions will be around 7/10% of total sells of this model. After the launch editions nobody will be interested in this version, like is happening with the Tonale and Abarth products. Wake up guys

i know i will be boring.the only thing that makes me sad is that i missed the premiere due to my job. But my mind was there. Sooo.. i see a lot of people saying that " i was an alfista now im not...." If you are an alfista you are always alfista even if your car is a piece of scrap. we all know that a true alfa romeo is like a giulia and not an suv, but for more than a decade all brands make suvs. Do you really want this brand out of this game? do you want a brand not to be chosen, because the other brands like t - roc and t- rex or whatever they called, make cars that are tablets in 4 wheels? when you choose an alfa you are different not only for the beauty but also for driving experience. Do you really believe that this car has the worst driving experience from an vw group? i can gurantee you that is far away better in the road from the other cars. OK its not the pretiest alfa ever made but the main question you have to answer iS " is this car better than a skoda? is better tha the 2008? is better than an seat, is better than a kia in the same segment? " i see some details that for me is fresh new and i like it. unfortunately 30000 is still a lot of money especially in greece. even though its difficult for me to buy this car i am happy if all alfas are more expensive than any other car in the same segment. the reason is that when i was young they always told me ouuu audi is more expensive than alfa so its better. Now they all saying that are very expensive, they are ugly etc. So decide what you really want.i am a mito owner 2010-2024 zero problems i changed the clutch 2021, sow me a audi owner or a seat or an vw owner who did that. enjoy the beauty enjoy the life for these little differences that all things have.So even if i buy her in one year and someone tell me that its same with the 2008 peugeot, i will tell him "no my friend its an alfa romeo." everyone who believes that he is an alfista must say these words, because we are different, others are the same!

Imagine the statistics for Giulia and Stelvio what the results would be - maybe 8 out of 10 would consider them beautiful. So maybe that's a definition of good looking car? Is 'not that ugly' enough? 😂 - why to fck with these 60-80 percent that could have been potential clients? Is it a definition of a brilliant sales plan?

It needed a bit more chrome on the front to look less like Peugeot and more like Alfa. Viva Alfa Romeo!
As a soon former Alfisti, I have a few concerns: 1) the design: recent Alfa Romeo models, like Tonale and Milano look like every other car out there. Heck, our 5 year old Giulia looks totally fresh and I bet the situation is the same like 10 years from now. Totally love it! 2) the heritage: Alfa heritage is mostly based on racing background and fantastic combustion engines. How can you turn it around to electric and be credible at the same time? 3) Alfas are light weight cars with typical handling that follows. Add hundreds of kilograms of batteries and how can you sustain the same sentiment?
From minute 24.24 there are around 10 minute of masterpiece exposure of what sound a solid CEO. the we are back and the mix of Italian words make the event cool. Exposed car on a side... if people who work on this company got his same energy every Alfista should be reassured, and enjoy the aperitive.

@@paolagiudici9567 thank you! in regards of the constellation of brand in Stellantis i'm not so sure, as is rules by a Portuguese, who looks pretty much like an accountant but full of rhetorical political bullshit! They want to fight against Chinese brand but does not understand that the only way for doing it is proposing a constant update of design and shapes. They playing with governments on keeping people employed and forcing them to give discount or fresh money to produce products here and there..... Hopefully markets rules will wash them out from history books.... and leave only the professional and committed brand manager trying to dictate the aspiration of a brand. (NDA: for all the lovers of Marchionne.. well he was not a leader, but just a suspicious front man that make interest of few! A leader is the one who retain the team, who keep motivated and try hard to get money and pay the salary of others).

I liked it, even though is not for me. As long as they keep doing nice stuff like Giulia and Stelvio (not to mention Stradale) they can do that stuff and Tonale to make money, it is completely understandable. Hope this sells well

Not sure what to think as of yet. It has quite a few Japanese styling cues (futuristic, two-toned). The rear is interesting.
I personally don't think it looks distinctly like an Alfa. It's like a cross between a Peugeot, Nissan and Hyundai. I feel like they could've taken some styling cues/basics from the 147 and Giulietta for its design.

You can all criticize them for bringing this car but if all of you would've be baying Giulia 's (sportiest sedan on the market) a small SUV wouldn't be first on their list.
And alfa will still focus on sedans. They have 2 suvs. The rest will still be sedans, they increased their lineup, I really don't get why this people are crying so much

Well, is there an end to those SUV buckets? Alfisti don't buy that, we're not interested in temporarily fashionable SUVs. They cannot be compared to the good old Alfa legends that the average middle-class customer could buy. Another disappointment.

SUVs with little white-like lights annoy me a lot, their motors have no personality compared to 80s/90s/2000s ones but a thing that makes me a lot of questions: where is the driving sensation?

Oggettivamente bella ma anonima; cerca di seguire le mode di oggi, ma si vede chiaramente che il DNA non è Alfa Romeo. L'unico che aveva intuito la giusta direzione è stato Marchionne; infatti Stelvio e Giulia sono progetti nati sotto la sua direzione e che facevano intuire chiaramente il cambio di rotta verso il glorioso passato Alfa Romeo. E si, perché è il passato che dice chi siamo e dove andare.
Mi spiace, ma si vede chiaramente che è una francesina che cerca di indossare goffamente il tricolore Alfa Romeo, così come lo slogan "Join the Tribe" che stona malamente sotto il logo del biscione. Bisogna pensare con il "Cuore" prima di creare un' Alfa Romeo. Non a caso questo termine era sempre sotto il logo.
Da alfista e possessore di Giulietta sono amareggiato. L'auto prima di essere giudicata va vista sicuramente dal vivo, ma qui di Alfa Romeo ci vedo veramente poco o nulla. Forse dalle prime immagini mi convince solo un pochino la linea laterale ma il resto no. I clienti Alfa Romeo dovete ascoltarli e non fare solo di testa vostra o in base a quello che chiede il mercato. Basta SUV. Cosa hanno di Alfa Romeo? Nulla. Dinamica di guida? Una macchina rialzata che pesa come un treno non è dinamica. Giulia è dinamica. STOP.
Sante parola, io amo la Giulia alla follia,potevano fare una nuova Giulietta e sarebbe stata l'auto più venduta in assoluto...purtroppo alla maggior parte della gente piacciono i suv...

Ad oggi le segmento B più vendute sono le versioni SUV… Ford, per esempio, ha sospeso la vendita della Fiesta per la Puma.
Il discorso che fai poteva andare bene nel 2010, ad oggi il trend del mercato dimostra chiaramente che il SUV è la tipologia di veicolo più venduta, indipendentemente dal segmento.

I own a giulia veloce and honestly i dont understand how a company can go from giulia/stelvio to.. this. You are destroying what makes alfa romeo special and turn it into a boring brand. Damn, this actually makes me sad.. from the most beautiful car on the market that handles like charm to this absolute abomination. You make kia look beautiful!!! This is an absolute nightmare
