Jagdpanzer IV L70(V): Creating an Ambush Predator

- In this video I will build the Jagdpanzer IV L70 (v) 1/35 scale model kit from Dragon. A mashup of an old Panzer IV kit with some newer parts added to make the tank destroyer based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank.
I will plan to transform the Jagdpanzer IV Sd.Kfz.162 into an ambush predator, by adding camouflage net and making some foliage to add for cover.
Production of the Jagdpanzer IV started in September 1943 but at the time the L70 gun was being prioritised for the panther so vehicles were fitted with the L48 gun. Front armour was 80mm thick set at a 45 degree angle.
Production with the L70 gun finally started in August 1944 and around 930 were produced up to the end of WW2.
Vehicles produced were delivered primarily to the Panzerjager battalions attached to Panzer divisions.
The Tank was rather nose heavy and later models would introduce steel road wheels for the front.
I hope you enjoy watching me turn this tank destroyer into an Ambush Predator.

Thanks Les, aways glad to hear what you thought.
Very nice looking work mate
Thanks Michael
Looks great. Good work on the branches. It must have taken patience to make. Looks really good. Can't wait to see the final results
Thank you.
Awesome build...
Thank you very much
Super réalisation 👍
La figurine fait-elle partie du kit
Thank you Thierry. Unfortunately the kit does not include a figure. I wish all kits came with at least 1 figure. They really make a difference when added.
When I modelled, it was an absolute no-no to put glue on the outside (visible part) of a model, because it left big glue marks. I guess glue technology has come a long way.
The big mark on the front glacis plate is not ideal, but nothing is unfixable if it is still visible once primmed. Glues are better now though from the days of old, I think anyway.
Привет!
Замечательный результат!
Подскажите пожалуйста, что за ветки кустарника вы используете? Что за фирма их продает?
Thanks. As seen in the video the leaves are from AK interactive and the branches that you glue the leaves to are from a plant called 'seafoam'. At least that is how they are sold in English language. don't know how that would translate.
Green Stuff World is where i purchased the branch... leaves from AK
Спасибо большое! Вс понял.@@afv-studio
Good lord! Making those branches, placing the leaves one-by-one - I'd go crazy! They do look good, though. Nice work! That figure looks good - where is he from? Thanks
I did go crazy 😂After 3 hours to do 2 branches i cheated a little and tried sprinkling the leaves over the branch instead. The result wasnt as nice but its quite hard to tell at 1st glance which is which. The figure I cant remember where he is from. I have a whole tub of figures in plastic bags and cant keep track of whats what in there.
I understand, I have a huge collection, as well.
