You're going to find out that the 383 is a better engine than the one you had I know those engines and have run them Thompson Motorsports built a badass engines! You will go deep into the 7s with it!
Got to see them today, unfortunately we spoke for at least 25 seconds under track rain cleaning but these people clearly have great vibes and energy. Definitely woulda loved to follow them more today & tomorrow but I got a one day pass. Can’t wait to follow them more often and I will send you the vidz/pics I took of the car
Great work guys! I was a little disappointed when it blew up. But I knew you would make something happen. Great team work, it is nice the have everyone there to help get things done.
Thompson motor sports is one of the best in the business thank God for Gina she is an awesome girl I’m happy for you I can guarantee that motor is good to last you a long time!!!!!
Hell's yeah, so glad you got a short block. At this point I would turn it up to 11 and break off the knobs😂 it would go or blow and I'd have a 7, but that's me, sir send it
If the old motor crank is bent or not. Have the block checked and line honed. Thats a lot of heat Kyle. The rods are the least of your worries with that motor. Good luck guys and congrats on getting it back together quick! Awesome job
Man, you have some great friends...hope it all works out. Gotta give the ole "Leroyyy Jenkins" on that 7 second pass..cause thats what you do, when you call an audible late in the 4th qtr...😉👍👍
@@Boostedlifestyle nice to see everyone rally around to help a brother out, ain't like your 5mins from home to go and sort it out, peace easy and get that new motor ✌🏼
@@Boostedlifestyle These two videos from the TX2K event are well done, recorded, edited, presented. They clearly have some suspense to draw the viewers to the next uploaded, posted, video. Am looking forward toward seeing Your next uploaded video. Though this event has been very challenging, it seems that ther is much positive excitement, energy, attitude, thus improving success. Though the previous 5.3 L engine build failed, after a successful test, qualifying pass, it seems that this well built 383 c.i. stroker from Thompson will result in much more power, reliability, durability, success too. Perhaps the damaged engine can still be useful as a backup for Geena's car or in another "Team Member" race vehicle ? All the Best, Sincerely
Pull the converter out and put it on the crank with the flywheel on the engine. Make sure the converter touches the flywheel before it bottoms out on the crank or it will do it again. Just my opinion, I know nothing.
Hey Kyle, what's the limits of a 1200hp rated set of rods n crank..? Would you push it much past that, or keep it under 1200..? I wanted to build a 4.070 bore 6.0 w/a 3.9" crank, but it was cheaper to buy an entire rotating assy., so 4" is what I ended up with. Hopefully it'll run good in the ol daily with a FI 91/102...I hope it'll go mid 8's on under 20lbs. The motor is almost 11.5:1 w/Dart Pro1 225's, Johnson lifters...I know this combo with a 4.001 bore went 10.3's on motor, so this $2k turbo better do its thang!lol 1st turbo car, should be fun! Also, getting one of your black sheep gates to add a 2nd, as my turbo has a T4 flange, possibly going to do a V band mount, but I need a gate on each side to avoid back pressure issues, hopefully! What size gates would you recommend running..? Come to FL on your way home, help me get this bitch together and running! Waiting on Circle D and motor goes in, get a drive shaft and break her in! If you ever get a chance to build another motor, I'd highly recommend using Mike Lough Racing Engines. He does an oil mod on the LS stuff, he was on time, no b.s, the man's done way more for me than I could've asked for and has been there every time I hit him up for a question, weekend or not! And although we pay good money for quality work, I paid over $500 less going to Mike than I paid to have a 402 disassembled, honed .004 and cleaned, bearings spec'd.. That's w/shipping both ways. Mike did all that plus WAY more! I sent him a 110k mile block that had to be bored .030, did his oil mod, cleaning, balancing, bearings spec'd, all info sent to me with a packet on very specific break in procedure, cuz streetcar! Good luck guys!!
I think it would make much more sense to just trailer the unfinished project down there then everyone put it together in the pits 😂 it’s a real team building experience for team race team
I love how she walks around interacting with people and majority of the men are subscribed to her and most definitely beat there meat to her vids and she gives no fucks 😅
I know it sucks your motor blew, but look how much fun you all are having. You all are the show!
Everyone coming together to get the new short block in and the car back up and running in less than 12 hours!!!! 👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪

Its only a 4.8/5.3 truck block. The round file might be the best place for it. It was already bored then thrashed and filled with shavings.
Gina’s face when he says “wow look at those!” Thinking he was talking about something else!
You don't drive thousands of miles to just lay down & die 🤘
Bro you killed this with pure determination. Keep repping canada, repping Alberta strong
You found all the dragon balls and now Kakarot lives again go get that V Kyle!!!!!!!
Bad luck turned into content, making memories and making new friends 💪
Way to pull through!! Cannot wait to see what you can do with that built short block! 🎉 Looks like you all are having a blast no matter what 👍🏼🃏
Such a fun video! Great content as always. How can anyone be in a bad mood when Mommy Geena is cheering everyone on? ✌️❤️🤘

Congratulations on your 780 pass
I thought you were getting a long block. I guess you have to keep the cost under control.
They are something like afr220 heads. A giant blast of parts cleaner is prob enough to be good to go.
