For the knats, use a small glass, put in some vinegar or apple cider vinegar, put a piece of plastic wrap over tm top and poke a few holes! They go in but can’t get out!
When it comes to gnats you may want to check your plants. I've found that moist soil can attract them (recently had this issue with snake plant after wondering for weeks why gnats were in the house). Setting the plant outside for a few days to let the soil dry out and then just being more sparing with my watering helped a ton :)
There is something you can buy to kill the soil flies. I get it at my local garden center.🙂
I can't remember if you've already done/spoken about this, but have you been to a dermatologist regarding your hair shedding? They may have some insight on if it's related to a scalp/skin condition. I have also been experiencing a long-term medical/health mystery, so I understand the confusion, frustration and sadness. You are not alone!
Life always has many things to bring you down. But, what can really bring you down is your attitude
For the fruit flies: pour some vinegar into a glass with a small piece of sweet fruit inside and leave it on your counter. It should help attract the flies.
Make sure the gnats aren’t come from your plant(s) soil! I had fungus gnats in my beloved pilea and I ended up having to throw it away because I tried to get rid of them for 2 months and it only got worse (it was BAD). But if you just blow on the soil they’ll move around and you’ll see them (if that’s what you have).

The gnats might be coming from your plants I just repotted one of mine because the gnats were all over it but now it’s better. The best way I’ve found to trap gnats is fill a cup with apple cider vinegar. They’re attracted to it so they’ll fly in and won’t be able to get out. It works even better if you get a glue trap and cut a hole in it to put over the cup. Good luck I know how annoying they can be. Love you and your content ♥️

For the gnats: leftover pickle juice, some dish soap and water, and a banana slice. I combined all of the diys when I had a gnat problem in my apartment (they were coming up the garbage disposal because no one was home in the summer!) and it worked super well!

I've also been dealing with hair loss and I'm not sure of why and it can be more difficult for me at times cause I naturally already have some bald spots in the front of my head. You talking about your hair loss has really helped me not feel too insecure, so thank you for your vulnerability !
Please continue sharing about your hair journey! I’m in a similar spot, I’ve always had really thick hair and over the last year have noticed it’s significantly thinner and it’s honestly really freaking me out, so I can relate to what you’re going through.

Fruit flies can come from indoor plants / earth - you need to get rid of it and spray the house ... keep food in fridge too
I feel you on the hair loss! I don't have hair loss myself, but I have been dealing with knee pain for over a year now. And not knowing the reason or what to do is really nerve wrecking sometimes

I never comment on anything but I LOVE your stuff! I am a hairstylist and just wanted to maybe give you something else to try. We have had a lot of success with clients using Nutrafol. They are kind of pricey but they seems to be the only supplements that actually does anything. Also, adding some highlights at your roots will help give the hair a fuller appearance even if your stylists smudges them to match your natural color. That can help the hair has a TON more volume and thickness. I know that doesn’t help the internal part but it might could help for now! Just a thought! Thanks for always putting out great content!!

They can actually start building nests in the sink!! I try and keep mine clean, the bathroom one too close it with the stopper because they can build homes there and that’s how they work their way to the house.
Have you been tested for PCOS? Very common hormonal/metabolic disorder. It causes my hair to shed like crazy. Other symptoms are irregular periods and acne. All the best xx
The fruit flies are the worst!! I have this one trap I got at target that you can DIY with apple cider vinegar. It's not sticky and looks like a tiny apple on my counter and it's helped a ton!
Yes the skin infections are so common in goldens! Mine has them every now and then!
You're not the only one expertise a lot of knots- I think for some reason in Texas this year it's been more than usual. Me and lots of my residents are experiencing it to (I am a leasing agent at an apartment complex lol)
I've heard that apple cider vinegar, water, sugar, and white vinegar in a jar or bowl is supposed to help. I personally spray Clorox bleach spray on my front door, inside my fireplace, my windows/patio door as well- and it has helped A LOT I just burn a candle after bc of the smell lol!

For the gnats: mix apple cider vinegar and brown sugar in a glass and then add a couple drops of dish soap. Leave it on the counter and the flies will be attracted to it and will get stuck in it.
for fruitflies: apple cider vinegar in a bowl with cling wrap on top, poke multiple holes in it with a toothpick and set it out! majority of em will be trapped inside by the next day :)
