@landmarkcreations1183, I'm old enough to remember Blade Runner Sting with Rock, who would go on to become The Dingo Warrior in WCCW, then The Ultimate Warrior. Saw Sting many times live in the Mid-South territory. I count myself lucky.
As someone who’s only old enough to remember the Stinger during his time TNA, it’s been an honor to witness him wrestling. Thanks for the memories Stinger. You will be missed.
First time I saw him wrestle live was WrestleMania 31. That being said, I had a whole bookshelf worth of DVDs and tapes as a kid. So I knew all too well who he was.
I was a little kid for Surfer Sting, grew up during the Crow and the Wolfpac, was a young man for TNA and WWE. And now here I am… 32 years old for AEW Legend Sting. I’m eternally grateful, Stinger. The greatest of all time in my book. Forever. 🦂❤️
SAME,AND STOP CRYING 😭😭😭 YOU SISSY 😭😭😭 WHO AM I KIDDING ITS ME CRYING.I SEEN HIM AT THE UNITED CENTER SO MANY TIMES.STONE COLD CAME OUTTA RETIREMENT AT MAINA A FEW YEARS AGO. WE ARE OLD NOW
My greatest memory of sting was the nitro after starcade 97. I was 5 years old. Before his match with hogan, before he ran to the ring during michael buffers introduction, i was the last hand he high fived before he ran to the ring. A moment i will never forget. Sting is forever on the mount rushmore of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Thank you for everything sting. Please rest now.
I attended many of Sting’s matches in the 80’s and 90’s in Richmond,Norfolk and Hampton he always gave his all in his matches.ThankYou Sting for all the years!
Thank you Sting, The Stinger, The icon, the legend. From a UK fan who remembers you from the Surfer Sting days to The Man Called Sting to the Crow. Thank you Steve Borden, AKA Sting. AWWWWOOOOHHHH.
Been a little Stinger since I was 6 years old in 1991. The fact that I've graduated school, got my first job, car, house, had a family, separated from their mum, now married to an amazing woman and now I'm 38, the one constant in my life has been Sting and my adoration for him. It feels weird that it is finally over. What a legend. He will never be forgotten.
One of the all time greats, i watched him in wcw, tna, wwe, aew i have always been a fan, thanks for all the memories. The only thing for sure about sting, is nothing's for sure, its its showtime folks 🤙
Been a fan since I started watching wrestling in the 90s. I was only allowed to watch WCW as a kid and Sting was one of my favorites. Still is one of my favorites. Will always be one of my favorites. Thank you, Sting! Also thank you Tony Khan because without this platform Sting wouldn't have gotten the send off in front of this amount of fans watching that he deserves.
One of my earliest memories was watching sting’s entrance in 97 Starcade, I was 6. He was never my all time favorite wrestler but he always had my respect and I always was a fan of him. I’m glad he was able to go out on his own terms like the legend he is. Thanks for the memories and fun matches sting!
The charisma you showed when performing was infectious, I was stung by the stinger. My icon, a legend, an inspiration to stay true to ones self. From a 6 year old me to me at 41. You are the greatest of all time! Thank you for the showtime!
Thank you for everything that you have done in your illustrious carrer. I remember watching you as WCW Sting, NWO Sting, Wolfpac Sting back in the mid to late 90's and early 2000s. I watched you wrestle your last match in WCW against Ric Flair when WWF(E) bought out WCW, I watched your Wrestlemania match against HHH (that you should have won IMO but thats neither here or there). You have always been one of my favorite wrestlers. Thank you for the memories. I wish I could have watched you and followed you more as I got older but I just dont watch wrestling quite like I used to. Thank you again for everything. You are truly a legend of the industry. You deserve a rest. And never say never! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
THANK YOU STINGER! Been a fan since 2007 , TNA introduced me to you and you’ve been one of favorites ever since! Congratulations on a fantastic career enjoy retirement 🦂🖤
Thank you so much for sharing this. Like many others, Sting has always been favorite pro wrestler. To see his full retirement speech was terrific & sad at the same time. An end of an era, but the iconic legacy will be immortalized.
Love to say, I got to see Sting wrestling the beginning of his career in mid south wrestling with his original tag team partner with the blade runners, rock, a.k.a. ultimate warrior. Got to see him wrestling in the Sam, Houston Coliseum and then once again many years later with WCW in the Astrodome love you STING thank you thank you
Sting has been my version of most Hulk Hogan throughout childhood, it's been great to see his journey. I had the privilege to see him live just once at WrestleMania 31 and I'll never forget it, the last Mania of an era imo. Thank you Sting for all the memories. You will forever be the ICON in my books 😢
Only difference being sting ain't done most of the badcrap hogan has out of the ring which is good and if you look at the controversy hogan has over his head and the amount of apologise he mad it not a great look for hogan sting keep it straight he's more awesome than hogan I am glad stings last match he won going out the champion he is
I've watched him from the early 90's-2004. It is sad to see him go. I'm glad he did it his way. Only a few of the old guard are left. I think of this, this way. When you get to a certain point where you feel it's time to hang it up. Teach the ones that come after, then step aside and let them come into their own. Also, thank you for posting this @Fightful
"thank you sting !! you will always be a legend and a icon its been an honor to see you made history in professional wrestling as inspiring young talent to follow there dreams thank you sting this is best greatest retirement moment of all Times thanks for all the memories

Thanks Sting for the memories. From surfer sting with Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert, being a horsemen, to crow , to joker and back to himself. It’s been a great ride
Sting finally got to have his official send off the right way . the way it should have been all along , he wanted to go out years ago but because of injuries he couldn’t but in aew he could finally retire in a great way . I remember his days as crow sting , Wolfpack sting , surfer sting , TNA sting , joker sting , wwe sting n aew sting . His battles with NWO , Ric flair etc thank you sting for many good moments
My first favorite wrestler (I've had many since). Man i loved watching you in the 90s. I dressed up as you for Halloween in '97. Took a lot to convince my mom to let me do that and even longer to be allowed to actually wear your shirt in public any other time (she thought it was "goth" and was worried about what people would say). I can't say that I've enjoyed everything you've done since WCW folded or even very much of your AEW run... But you'll always be my first favorite wrestler. Happy retirement Stinger.
Hell, I remember when Sting was with Eddie Gilbert known as the man from every man's nightmare back in 86 when I was 12 years old. He and Warrio and Rick Steiner were jacked. I mean swole diesel with muscles.
Im old enough to remember surfer sting. What a great send off. What an icon
@landmarkcreations1183, I'm old enough to remember Blade Runner Sting with Rock, who would go on to become The Dingo Warrior in WCCW, then The Ultimate Warrior. Saw Sting many times live in the Mid-South territory. I count myself lucky.
