The term "future ruin" describes it perfectly. I'm in total awe! Amazing! It feels futuristic and like the ruin of a Italian fortress at the same time. So well done!
Makes me think of the term "rough luxe" where a project might include leaving exposed a wall with old, torn, wallpaper discovered during renovation to lend some texture and history to a space that might otherwise have been totally white-washed both figuratively and literally.
I delivered some alcohol to this home later last year for an event they were having, I knew the place was special just by looking at it from the outside. Going inside was something else, a truly special place
The balance between poured concrete sections and intense greenery was incredibly calming. It created a harmony that I’m sure would transport you into a peaceful state every single day. Once again, fantastic work, brilliant architecture!
I paused the video many times whilst watching just to gaze at a scene a while longer before the video moved to the next. I can imagine the occupants also pausing to take in a scene throughout the day and night, and in different seasons 😍

These projects that you present are exceptional examples of architecture, craftsmanship and creativity that are on a level that is unknown to us here in Germany. My family roots are in Greece and there I have always admired the interior doors of my in-laws house. When I asked who made these beautiful doors, I was told that it was a carpenter who came back to Greece from Australia. No wonder! Your craftsmanship is inimitable! Theodora Zouroufidou

How the nanny state of Australia didn't manage to ruin that building by forcing hand rails in a lot of obvious areas is beyond me. This is one of the best examples of a blend between Brutalist architecture and Modernist architecture, and how it just seamlessly blends into the surrounding area. Impressively timeless interpretation of both Brutalist architecture and Modernist architecture. It reminds me a lot of Arthur Erickson's work. Thank you for sharing this gem!
I don't believe that's NCC compliant, I had to rechecked the location thinking this can't be in Australia. Would be great to know how they get away with it tbh.
This is fabulous!! Right from the very beginning of the video it looked like a building being reclaimed by nature. I just love it!! I'm normally not a fan of concrete houses but this is a perfect blend...its an absolute winner!

The house is thought provoking , interesting and very well chosen…what’s driving me crazy is the art work, the drawing or painting of the horse….on the easel,the white space beneath the horse is so beautiful, it’s what isn’t there that is so restful, space for thought and movement. I like it so much.
My impression is that this is some post-apocalyptic space. It was a small museum or maybe, like they say a restaurant, but that world was destroyed. Now, everything is overgrown with vegetation, and survivors moved in and made it their home. They collected a bunch of eclectic, random furniture and made their bedroom in a giant dining hall. I like the brutalist architecture mixed with lush vegetation. It softens the image and makes it more livable. Very dramatic!
This project presents such a beautiful contrast! Love the way the hard concrete form of the has what looks like a symbiotic relationship with the soft greenery of the plants while the vines on the ceiling of the living room make it seem like nature is slowly creeping in and reclaiming territory. ❤
I want to say something about this house but... I'm speechless. All the architecture and design of the house and garden, the way they mix styles indoors and outdoors... This has got to be one of the coolest couples in the world.
Nice to see someone Smiling, finally. Kudos to her!! If I had to live in one of these gray concrete structures, I'd have to add mosaic tiles. Would be perfect in the kitchen galley, behind the sink, for brightening, breathing life and warmth! Cool the vegetation seeps through, but not so sure I care for the bugs it would bring. Nice structure nonetheless.
The treatment of the material, how the space flows during the course of the work seems to me something exceptional, what a pleasure to see a work of this level of purity and camouflage, this is pure architecture.
This house is truly remarkable. The aesthetic, layout, and concept of this property are something many seek yet need to learn how to create or find. I love the outside vine crawling to the interior and expanding its reach. Being able to incorporate nature in a magnificent yet effortlessly fashionable home deserves infinite validation and praise.
From a Landscaper perspective, would like to see similar concept for a built environment but with less exotic planting and more Australian endemic plants.
I am a huge fan of the design of this home. It was though a huge let down when I drove to look at the property last year while in Brisbane, the street portion looked unfinished and there were wires hanging out. Just knocked me down to see it at its best and then there was the reality as they say.
Very sensual and vastly proportioned. Tho I notice too many right angled shapes that could do with being chamfered, and the stairs could do with some chamfering too.
